High-resolution Imaging of Living Retina through Optic Adaptive Retinal Imaging System 被引量:5

Purpose: To evaluate the possibility as well as the usage of adaptive optics in high-resolution retinal imaging.Methods:From March to November 2001, the fundus of 25 adults were checked by using Optic Adaptive Retinal... Purpose: To evaluate the possibility as well as the usage of adaptive optics in high-resolution retinal imaging.Methods:From March to November 2001, the fundus of 25 adults were checked by using Optic Adaptive Retinal Imaging System (OAS). The age of the subjects varied from 18~48 years. All had normal visual acuity from 0.9 to 1.0. No abnormality was found in the ocular examination, and their medical as well as ocular history was unremarkable. Results: High-resolution images of the retinal cells, photoreceptor and bipolar cell, were analysed. In these images, the cells are clearly resolved. The density of the photoreceptor at area 1.5 degree from the foveloa is around 40 000~50 000/mm2. At area 3 degree, it drops to less than 30 000/mm2.Conclusion:Optic Adaptive Retinal Imaging System (AOS) is able to get high-resolution image of retinal cells in living human eyes. It may be widely used in ophthalmology experimentally and clinically. 展开更多

We report in this work a continuous wave(CW) narrowband 589 nm light generation for the purpose of laser guide assisted adaptive optics.A 39 mm long 1 mm thick periodically poled near stoichiometric LiTaO3 crystal with duty cycle near 50% was fabricated using electrical poling at room temperature and pumped by a Raman fiber amplifier.We tested two temperature control ovens,and a maximum conversion efficiency of about 14.3%,corresponding to 4 W of yellow light with 28 W of fundamental power,and bandwidth less than 0.18 GHz was achieved. 展开更多

A magnetic fluid based deformable mirror(MFDM) that could produce a large stroke more than 100 μm is designed and demonstrated experimentally with respect to the characteristics of the aberration of the liquid telescope. Its aberration correction performance is verified by the co-simulation using COMSOL and MATLAB. Furthermore, the stroke performance of the MFDM and the decentralized linear quadratic Gaussian(LQG) mirror surface control approach are experimentally evaluated with a prototype of MFDM in an adaptive optics system to show its potential application for the large aberration correction of liquid telescopes. 展开更多
