The precombustion chamber is a staged combustion technique capable of achieving low NOx emission and high combustion efficiency. A new precombustor burner using multiple opposed jets was developed in China. Such jets establish an excellent recirculation zone in the flowfield, different from that associated with swirl and bluffbodies. This paper reports the potential of mathematical flame models to predict particles trajectories, residense time, heating rate and volatile release rate. The particles trajectories illustrate that most particles travel within the recirculation zone and have long enough residence time. The devolatilization has been completed and partial char combustion occurs in the burner. 展开更多
