This paper analyzes the se-lective excitation rate by electron impact on the basis of atomic collision physics. The external pulse control method was used to control the electron energy in ionized gases successfully. It has been obtained that the se-lective excitation can be varied with time by controlling the electron energy. The effect of selective excitation was detected by measuring relative spectral intensity distribution. The results of this paper have established the necessary fundamentals for realization and application of variable color luminescence in ionized gases.展开更多
