This fact has been brought many ...Flotation is a complex multifaceted process that is widely used for the separation of finely ground minerals. The theory of froth flotation is complex and is not completely understood. This fact has been brought many monitoring challenges in a coal processing plant. To solve those challenges, it is important to understand the effect of different parameters on the fine particle separation, and control flotation performance for a particular system. This study is going to indicate the effect of various parameters (particle Characteristics and hydrodynamic conditions) on coal flotation responses (flotation rate constant and recovery) by different modeling techniques. A comprehensive coal flotation database was prepared for the statistical and soft computing methods. Statistical factors were used for variable selections. Results were in a good agreement with recent theoretical flotation investigations. Computational models accurately can estimate flotation rate constant and coal recovery (correlation coefficient 0.85, and 0.99, respectively). According to the results, it can be concluded that the soft computing models can overcome the complexity of process and be used as an expert system to control, and optimize parameters of coal flotation process.展开更多

Direct flotation de-silication has been shown to be an effec- tive method for de-silication of diaspore. In this study the effect of different factors, including pulp tem- perature, density, pH value, depressant, and collector dosage, on direct flotation of diaspore were investigated by laboratory experiments. The optimum conditions were identified and the flotation perfor- mance was improved. The results show that under optimum conditions (a pulp temperature around 40℃, a pulp density from 30% to 33g, a pH value from 9.0 to 10.0, an air flow rate of 0.5 m3/(m2 rain), a dispersant level from 35 to 70 g/t, and a collector level around 1000 g/t) an AI/Si ratio of 6.97 is obtained starting from an initial Al/Si ratio of about 4.71. The recovery of A1203 under these conditions was 86.94%.展开更多

To find the type of ripper shank we have done a research program with 7 different shape and size tools. The geometrical parameters were determined in laboratory, the performance (loosening effect, depth etc) and draft requirements were measured on loamy soil stubble field (the speed range: 2.5-7.5 krrdh). Developing a combined evaluation system-based on performance and draft data-to select the most favorable shank type for our condition was found one which has the following features: the size of the point: rake angle = 25°, length = 240 mm, width = 80mm; the equation of the shank curve: y = axb, where a = 2-3.5 and b = 0.04-0.05.展开更多

In this paper, an improved Semi-orthogonal User Selection algorithm based on condition number is proposed. Besides, a new MIMO pre- coding scheme is designed. The proposed SUS- CN (SUS with condition number) algorithm outperforms the SUS algorithm for the selection of users with better matrix inversion property, thus a higher information rate for selected user pair is achieved. The designed MIMO precoding matrix brings benefits of the power equality at transmitted terminals, the limited dynamic range of the power over time, and a better power efficiency. The simulation results give the key insights into the im- pact of the different condition number value and users on the sum-rate capacity.展开更多
