Authors attract approaches, based on the concepts of physics of com...This discussion paper is an attempt to consider new ideas about the nature of explosive phenomena of the meteorite bodies in the Earth's atmosphere. Authors attract approaches, based on the concepts of physics of combustion, explosion and detonation in order to explain the explosive collapse of the meteorite. Authors believe that the meteorite explosion may be the result of gas-detonation mechanism of overheated meteoric bodies explosive boiling-up (the "vapor explosion"), accompanied by the formation of a supersonic front of shock wave. The considered hypothesis regarding the role of the "vapor explosion" in geological disasters can be used to explain the mechanisms of explosive phenomena in Volcanology: (1) With respect to the description of nature of phreatic eruptions; (2) for interpretation of dynamic regularities of the volcano crater opening and the subsequent shock-wave emission of steam-gas "fountain" to a height of several kilometers with fragments of magma and rocks as a result of the "vapor explosion" of overheated magma mass under the dome of the volcano.展开更多

OPC (Ordinary Portland Cement) was replaced in the concrete mix by 15%, ...Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the suitability of using trass as a supplementary cementing material in pervious concrete. OPC (Ordinary Portland Cement) was replaced in the concrete mix by 15%, 25% and 35% weight percentages and the results were compared with reference mixtures with 100% Portland cement. The variables in this study were trass content, aggregate size and water to cement ratio. Sixteen eases of concrete mixtures were tested to study physical and mechanical properties of hardened concrete, including porosity, permeability, compressive strength, splitting-tensile strength and flexural strength at various ages. Results indicated that mechanical properties of the pervious concrete marginally decreased with the increased content of trass when compared to the reference mixtures. Methods:A total of 100 SCD cases were randomly allocated into an observation group and a control group by their visit sequence, 50 cases in each group. On the basis of Western medical treatment, cases in the observation group were also treated with acupuncture therapy plus complex reinforcing-reducing manipulation; whereas cases in the control group were only treated with the same Western medical treatment as those in the observation group. Before and 2 months after treatment, kinematic parameters including muscle force, muscle tone and range of motion of the hip and knee joints were measured. In addition, balancing parameters including the path length of center of pressure (COP), peripheral area, COP path length per unit area and rectangular area were also measured before and after treatment. Results:After treatment, there were statistical intra-group differences in COP path length, peripheral area, COP path length per unit area, left-right offset, rectangular area, coefficient of stability and coefficient of weight distribution (P〈0.01). There were statistical inter-group differences in muscle force, muscle tone and range of motion of hip and knee joints (P〈0.01). The total effective rate was 83.3% in the observation group, versus 60.0% in the control group, showing a statistical difference (P〈0.05). We report the use of ultra-short, pulsed-laser annealed Ti/Au contacts to enhance the performance of multilayer MoS2 field effect transistors (FETs) on flexible plastic substrates without thermal damage. An analysis...We report the use of ultra-short, pulsed-laser annealed Ti/Au contacts to enhance the performance of multilayer MoS2 field effect transistors (FETs) on flexible plastic substrates without thermal damage. An analysis of the temperature distribution, based on finite difference methods, enabled understanding of the compatibility of our picosecond laser annealing for flexible poly(ethylene naphthalate) (PEN) substrates with low thermal budget (〈 200 ℃). The reduced contact resistance after laser annealing provided a significant improvement in transistor performance including higher peak field-effect mobility (from 24.84 to 44.84 cm2-V-l.s-1), increased output resistance (0.42 MΩ at Vgs- Vth = 20 V, a three-fold increase), a six-fold increase in the self-gain, and decreased sub- threshold swing. Transmission electron microscopy analysis and current-voltage measurements suggested that the reduced contact resistance resulted from the decrease of Schottky barrier width at the MoS2-metal junction. These results demonstrate that selective contact laser annealing is an attractive technology for fabricating low-resistivity metal-semiconductor junctions, providing important implications for the application of high-performance two-dimensional semicon- ductor FETs in flexible electronics.展开更多

In addition to basic treatment, cases in the observation group were treated with reducing manipulation [Tou T ian Liang (Heaven-penetrating Cooling)] on Zhibian (BL 54), Huantiao (GB 30) and Juliao (GB 29) on the affected side and reinforcing manipulation [Shao Shan Huo (Mountain-burning Fire)] on Biguan (ST 31), Futu (ST 32), Zusanli (ST 36), Fenglong (ST 40), Xuehai (SP 10), Diji (SP 8) and Yanglingquan (GB 34). Patients in the control group only received the same basic treatment as the observation group. The treatment was done once a day, 30 d for a course and a 1-week interval between two courses. Then the flexion and extension angles of hip and knee were evaluated using the Lokomat full automatic robot gait evaluation system after 3 courses of treatment. 〈br〉 Results:There were intra-group statistical differences in hip flexion angle on foot followed (HFA-FF), the maximum of hip flexion angle (MAX-HFA), the maximum of hip extension angle (MAX-HEA), knee flexion angle on foot followed (KFA-FF), the maximum of knee flexion angle on stance phase (MAX-KFA-TP) and the maximum of knee flexion angle on swing phase (MAX-KFA-WP) in the observation group and in HFA-FF, MAX-HEA and KFA-FF in the control group (P<0.05). The effect of β→α cooling rate during quenching on a new Zr-Sn-Nb-Fe-Cr-Cu alloy is reported.The microstructure evolution is well characterized by electron channeling contrast(ECC) imaging and transmission electron...The effect of β→α cooling rate during quenching on a new Zr-Sn-Nb-Fe-Cr-Cu alloy is reported.The microstructure evolution is well characterized by electron channeling contrast(ECC) imaging and transmission electron microscopy(TEM) techniques.The results show that specimens cooled by water,liquid nitrogen,air and furnace from β-phase present martensitic,coarse basket-weave,parallel-plate and lenticular structure,respectively.Residual β phase is detected by performing electron diffraction and composition analysis in the furnace cooled specimen.Micro hardness values of specimens decrease while the width of α laths increase with the cooling rate decreasing.The preliminarily established quantitative relationship among the cooling rate,microstructure and mechanical properties will shed light on the microstructure control and property optimization.展开更多
