通体与仁民爱物:西方通体性理论的缺陷及其补充之道

“通体性”是一种融合了新物质主义和物质女性主义相关理论成果的后人类主义理论。它认为,所有生命本质上都是物质的具身,同属包括人类在内的“超人类”整体,并发生持续不断的、物质性的、动态的及内在交互式的相互融通和塑造。“通体... “通体性”是一种融合了新物质主义和物质女性主义相关理论成果的后人类主义理论。它认为,所有生命本质上都是物质的具身,同属包括人类在内的“超人类”整体,并发生持续不断的、物质性的、动态的及内在交互式的相互融通和塑造。“通体性”是西方学者在反对身心二元对立道路上的又一个理论成果,但是其理论缺陷也显而易见:首先,从物质性具身的“通”过渡到人类个体的道德和责任,这其中的逻辑转换比较生硬;其次,淡化了因为人类社会内部政治经济的不公平所带来的环境非正义等问题。我国儒家传统的“仁民爱物”哲学思想可为消解上述缺陷提供参照。它从情感的角度出发,从“亲亲”到“仁民”到“爱物”,推己及人,将“仁”延展到世间万物,其伦理逻辑更清晰,有助于弥补西方通体性理论的缺陷。 展开更多

Objective To investigate effect of pinacidil, an ATP sensitive potassium channel (KATP) opener, on the neuronal apoptosis and its signaling transduction mechanism following focal cerebral ischemia-reperfusion in rats. Methods One hundred male Wistar rats were randomly divided into four groups: A, sham-operated group; B, ischemia-reperfusion group; C, KATe opener treatment group; and D, KATe opener and blocker treatment group. The middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) model was established by using the intraluminal suture occlusion method, neuronal apoptosis was determined by TUNEL staining, and expressions of caspase-8, caspase-9 and caspase-3 mRNA were detected by in situ hybridization. Results (1) The numbers of apoptotic neurons at 12 h, 24 h, 48 h, and 72 h were significantly less in group C than in groups B and D (P 〈 0.01 or P 〈 0.05); and there was no difference between groups B and D at all time points (P 〉 0.05). (2) The expressions of caspase-3 mRNA and caspase-8 mRNA at all times and the expressions of caspase-9 mRNA at 12 h, 24 h, 48 h, 72 h were significantly lower in group C than in groups B and D (P 〈 0.01 or P 〈 0.05); and there were no differences between groups B and D at all time points (P 〉 0.05). Conclusions KATP opener can significantly decrease the neuronal apoptosis and the expressions of caspase-3, caspase-8 and caspase-9 mRNAs following cerebral ischemiareperfusion. The neuronal apoptosis may be decreased by the inhibition of both mitochondrial and death-receptor signal pathways. 展开更多

Some applications of crystal plasticity modeling in equal channel angular extrusion(ECAE) of face-centered cubic metals were highlighted.The results show that such simulations can elucidate the dependency of grain refinement efficiency on processing route and the directionality of substructure development,which cannot be explained by theories that consider only the macroscopic deformation behavior.They can also capture satisfactorily the orientation stability and texture evolution under various processing conditions.It is demonstrated that crystal plasticity models are useful tools in exploring the crystallographic nature of grain deformation and associated behavior that are overlooked or sometimes erroneously interpreted by existing phenomenological theories. 展开更多

[Method] Based on the transformation of existing pGreen0229 plant expression vector, phosphinothricin-resistant selectable marker-bar gene driving by CaMv35S promoter was constructed, which could be used to connect target gene of maize expression vector PGM-35Sbar, and transform Ji444 maize inbred lines by pollen tube pathway. [Result] The universal expression vector for PGM-35Sbar maize had been successfully constructed. When the maize plants were transformed, 14 resistant plants were obtained, and 12 plants were identified to be positive plants by PCR detection. Since the interference from the narrow band excitation signal is suppressed by the adaptive notch filter, the convergent speed of the on-line control path identification process is significantly improved. As a result, the controller performance is greatly enhanced. Besides the algorithm development, some important factors, such as the influence of reference signal on the controller convergent speed, are also discussed. Voltage-dependent anion channel (VDAC)I is the main channel of the mitochondrial outer membrane (MOM) and it has been proposed to be part of the permeability transition pore (PTP), a putative multiprotein complex candidate agent of the mitochondrial permeability transition (MPT). Working at the single live cell level, we found that overexpression of VDAC1 triggers MPT at the mitochondrial inner membrane (MIM). Conversely, silencing VDAC1 ex- pression results in the inhibition of MPT caused by selenite-induced oxidative stress. This MOM-MIM crosstalk was modulated by Cyclosporin A and mitochondrial Cyclophilin D, but not by Bcl-2 and BcI-XL, indicative of PTP operation. VDAC1-dependent MPT engages a positive feedback loop involving reactive oxygen species and p38-MAPK, and secondarily triggers a canonical apoptotic response including Bax activation, cytochrome e release and caspase 3 activation. Our data thus support a model of the PTP complex involving VDAC1 at the MOM, and indicate that VDACl-dependent MPT is an upstream mechanism playing a causal role in oxidative stress-induced apoptosis. 展开更多

The effects of surface-modified porous titanium implants with different porosities and pore sizes on osseointegration were investigated in vivo.Three porous titanium implants(A30,A40 and A50 containing volume fractions of space-holder NaCl being 30%,40%and 50%,respectively)were manufactured by metal injection moulding(MIM).The surface-modified implants were implanted into muscles and femurs of hybrid male dogs.Interface osteogenic activity and histological bone ingrowth of porous titanium implants were evaluated at 28,56 and 84 d.The results showed that when additive space-holder amount of NaCl increased from 30%to 50%(volume fraction),the general porosity and mass fraction of macropores of porous titanium rose from 42.4%to 62.0%and from 8.3%to 69.3%,respectively.Histologic sections and fluorescent labeling showed that the A50 implant demonstrated a significantly higher osteogenic capacity at 28 d than other implants.Bone ingrowth into the A30 implant was lower than that into other implants at 84 d.Therefore,the pore structure of A50 implant was suitable for new bone tissue to grow into porous implant. 展开更多

Radio waves are highly attenuated and distorted by turbulent plasma sheath around hypersonic vehicles in near space, leading to communication blackout. The purpose of the paper is to investigate the plasma channel characteristics and the communication performances over the channel. We treat the turbulent plasma medium as a fast fading wireless channel. The coherence time and the spectrum spread of the plasma sheath channel are obtained in terms of root-meansquare(RMS). Baseband simulation scheme is proposed based on a stratified model of the plasma flow field. Results indicate that the coherence time is on the order of milliseconds and decreases rapidly with the increasing electron density turbulence. The spectrum spread due to plasma turbulence is also significant. Extensive simulations have been carried out to make communication performance evaluations. Quantitative results show that error floor takes place for PSK and QAM, while FSK with noncoherent detection is a promising method to mitigate the blackout problem. 展开更多

The pinning characteristics of a single crystal NdBaaCu3Oy superconductor at low (40 K), intermediate (77.3 K) and high (88 K) temperatures were investigated. The experimental results of the critical current density dc and the apparent pinning potential u o which estimated from magnetic relaxation measurements are compared with the theoretical analysis based on the flux creep-flow model, taking the distribution of the flux pinning strength into account. The number of flux lines in the flux bundle (g2), the most probable value of pinning strength (Am), distribution width of pinning strength (σ-2) and other pinning parameters such as m, γ,δ are determined so that a good fit is obtained between the experimental and theoretical results. The behavior of these parameters is discussed in correspondence to the pinning characteristics of low, intermediate and high temperatures. The observed results are approximately consistent with the theoretical predictions of Brandt et al. model of the order-disorder transition. 展开更多

This fiber has three-fold symmetry core. The doped region in the core and the big air-holes in the 1-st ring can make high nonlinearity in the PCF. And the small air-holes in the 1-st ring and the radial increasing diameters air-holes rings in cladding can be used to turn the dispersion properties of the PCF. We can achieve the optimized optical properties by carefully selecting the PCF's structure parameters. A PCF with flattened dispersion is obtained. The dispersion is within ±0.8 ps·nm-1·km-1 from 1.50 μm to 1.62 μm. The nonlinear coefficient is about 12.645 6 W-1·km-1, the fundamental mode area is about 10.257 9 μm2 and the birefringence is about 3.086 96×10-5 at 1.55 μm. This work may be useful for effective design and fabrication of dispersion flattened photonic crystal with high nonlinearities. 展开更多

Software performance evaluation in multimedia communication systems is typically formulated into a multi-layered client-server queuing network(MLCSQN) problem. However, the existing analytical methods to MLCSQN model cannot provide satisfactory solution in terms of accuracy, convergence and consideration of interlocking effects. To this end, this paper proposes a heuristic solving method for MLCSQN model to boost the performance prediction of distributed multimedia software systems. The core concept of this method is referred to as the basic model, which can be further decomposed into two sub-models: client sub-model and server sub-model. The client sub-model calculates think time for server sub-model, and the server sub-model calculates waiting time for client sub-model. Using a breadthfirst traversal from leaf nodes to the root node and vice versa, the basic model is then adapted to MLCSQN, with net sub-models iteratively resolved. Similarly, the interlocking problem is effectively addressed with the help of the basic model. This analytical solver enjoys advantages of fast convergence, independence on specific average value analysis(MVA) methods and eliminating interlocking effects.Numerical experimental results on accuracy and computation efficiency verify its superiority over anchors. 展开更多

The flow of pseudoplastic power-law fluids with different flow indexes at a microchannel plate was studied using computational fluid dynamic simulation.The velocity distribution along the microchannel plate and especially in the microchannel slits,flow pattern along the outlet arc and the pressure drop through the whole of microchannel plate were investigated at different power-law flow indexes.The results showed that the velocity profile in the microchannel slits for low flow index fluids was similar to the plug flow and had uniform pattern.Also the power-law fluids with lower flow indexes had lower stagnation zones near the outlet of the microchannel plate.The pressure drop through the microchannel plate showed huge differences between the fluids.The most interesting result was that the pressure drops for power-law fluids were very smaller than that of Newtonian fluids.In addition,the heat transfer of the fluids through the microchannel with different channel numbers in a wide range of Reynolds number was investigated.For power-law fluid with flow index(n=0.4),the Nusselt number increases continuously as the number of channels increases.The results highlight the potential use of using pseudoplastic fluids in the microheat exchangers which can lower the pressure drop and increase the heat transfer efficiency. 展开更多

Operating principle of water three-way valve with high flow for individual hydraulic prop in coal was presented in this paper, its strict and precise mathematical model was established, its flow field was simulated numerically by software Fluent, and its dynamic characteristics were analyzed during the work process such as raising leg, loading and overflow, the influence of the related parameters on high-flow water three-way valve was determined. The results as follows: during the raising leg stage and early raising leg stage, when the damping ratio increases, the overshoot of system decreases and the setting time reduces, and the dynamic response performance has a significant improvement. During the loading stage and the overflow stage, the pressure in plunger chamber of single hydraulic prop, the output flow and the displacement of the high-flow water three-way valve decrease with the decreasing of the external load. The spring stiffness of the safety valve directs the flow and the spool's displacement of the safety valve, and it can be used to control the high-flow three-way valve's sensitivity. 展开更多

The acrosome reaction (AR), an absolute requirement for spermatozoa and egg fusion, requires the influx of Ca2+ into the spermatozoa through voltage-dependent Ca2+ channels and store-operated channels. Maitotoxin (MTx), a Ca2+-mobilizing agent, has been shown to be a potent inducer of the mouse sperm AR, with a pharmacology similar to that of the zona pellucida (ZP), possibly suggesting a common pathway for both inducers. Using recombinant human ZP3 (rhZP3), mouse ZP and two MTx channel blockers (U73122 and U73343), we investigated and compared the MTx- and ZP-induced ARs in human and mouse spermatozoa. Herein, we report that MTx induced AR and elevated intracellular Ca2+ ([Ca2+]~) in human spermatozoa, both of which were blocked by U73122 and U73343. These two compounds also inhibited the MTx-induced AR in mouse spermatozoa. In disagreement with our previous proposal, the AR triggered by rhZP3 or mouse ZP was not blocked by U73343, indicating that in human and mouse spermatozoa, the AR induction by the physiological ligands or by MTx occurred through distinct pathways. U73122, but not U73343 (inactive analogue), can block phospholipase C (PLC). Another PLC inhibitor, edelfosine, also blocked the rhZP3- and ZP-induced ARs. These findings confirmed the participation of a PLC-dependent signalling pathway in human and mouse zona protein-induced AR. Notably, edelfosine also inhibited the MTx-induced mouse sperm AR but not that of the human, suggesting that toxin-induced AR is PLC-dependent in mice and PLC-independent in humans. 展开更多

METHODS: Conventional microelectrode techniques were used to record intracellular electrical responses from human GI smooth muscle tissue. Immunohistochemistry was used to identify TRPM7 channels in interstitial cells of Cajat (ICCs). RESULTS: The human GI tract generated slow electrical waves and had ICCs which functioned as pacemak er cells. Flufenamic acid, a nonselective cation channel blocker, and 2-APB (2-aminoethoxydiphenyl borate) and La3+, TRPM7 channel blockers, inhibited the slowwaves. Also, TRPM7 channels were expressed in ICCs in human tissue. CONCLUSION: These results suggest that the human GI tract generates slow waves and that TRPM7 channels expressed in the ICCs may be involved in the gen- eration of the slow waves. 展开更多

Variation of Discharge Coefficient of Spillway and Broad Crested Weir Due to the Effectiveness of the Longitudinal Slope in a Non-horizontal Channel

In this work, experiment efforts were devoted to study the effect of the longitudinal slope of channel on the discharge coefficient for ogee spillway and broad crested weir. A comprehensive laboratory study including 17 tests was conducted to estimate the variation of the discharge coefficient due to variation of the longitudinal slope. It was shown that the discharge coefficient is significantly increasing with the increase of the slope by more than 90% or 75% and 80% or 70% for weir and spillway in case of excluding or including the approach velocity head, respectively. Also, CFD (computational fluid dynamics) with a help of Comsol-multyphsics program was used to simulate the problem. The program explained that the linear distribution of the hydraulic pressure changes to a non-linear distribution as the longitudinal slope is considered. Consequently, the values of the discharge coefficient are also affected. 展开更多

The epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) is a member of the ErbB/EGFR family, including EGFR/Herl, ErbB2/Her2, ErbB-3/Her3, and ErbB-4/Her4. EGFR exerts its effects through the receptor tyrosine kinase phosphorylation and activation of important downstream signaling pathways in normal and neoplastic cells, mainly the Ras GTPase/MAP kinase (MAPK), STAT3, and phosphatidylinositide 3 kinase-AKT pathways. EGFR deregulation is common in malignant glioma, especially primary glioblastoma, and exists in three forms: gene overexpression (amplification), autocrine effects of EGFR activation, and activating receptor mutation (EGFRvlII). However, some EGFR abnormalities have also been found in low-grade gliomas, including the nuclear localization of EGFR, expression in the microfoci of anaplastic transformation, and association with neovascularization in the mesenchyma of the glioma, which suggests that some unknown EGFR-related mechanisms are possibly responsible for its central role in the initiation and progression of malignant glioma. Uncovering these mechanisms will have potential value in the development of radio- therapy, chemotherapy, and EGFR-targeted therapy for glioma. 展开更多
