Therefore, adequate research of un...In underground mines, visible light communication(VLC) system is a promising method to realize effective communication,which supports communication and illumination at the same time. Therefore, adequate research of underlying physical propagation phenomenon should be carried out to realize VLC system in underground mines. To design VLC system and evaluate its performance, accurate and efficient channel models, including large-scale fading and scattering characteristics, are needed to be established. However,the characteristics of the underlying VLC channels about fading and scattering have not been sufficiently investigated yet. In this paper, a path loss channel model, based on the recursive model, is proposed precisely. Its path loss exponent is determined by three different trajectories, which is studied in the mining roadway and working face environment. Besides, the shadowing effect for VLC has been modelled by a Bimodal Gaussian distribution in underground mines. Considering the number of transmitters in line-of-sight(Lo S) as well as non-line-of-sight(NLo S) scenarios,our simulation illustrates the fact that, as the curve fitting technique is employed, the path loss displays a linear behavior in log-domain.The path loss expression is derived, it is related to the distance. Finally, root mean square(RMS) delay spread and Mie scattering in underground mines are analyzed.展开更多
This work considers those road networks in which there are multi-route choices for bifurcation-destination(or origin-destination) pairs, and designs a real-time variable message sign(VMS)-based routing control strateg...This work considers those road networks in which there are multi-route choices for bifurcation-destination(or origin-destination) pairs, and designs a real-time variable message sign(VMS)-based routing control strategy in the model predictive control(MPC) framework. The VMS route recommendation provided by the traffic management authority is directly considered as the control variable, and the routing control model is established, in which a multi-dimensional control vector is introduced to describe the influence of route recommendations on flow distribution. In the MPC framework, a system optimum routing strategy with the constraints regarding drivers' acceptability with recommended routes is designed, which can not only meet the traffic management authority's control requirement but also improve drivers' satisfaction with the route guidance system. The simulation carried out shows that the proposed routing control can effectively mitigate traffic congestion, reduces followers' time delay, and improves drivers' satisfaction with routing control in road networks.展开更多
Energy saving is the nature of the optimal balance between the optimization of performance and energy consumption.Due to the node' s mobility of large-scale wireless sensor networks and the depletion of electrical en...Energy saving is the nature of the optimal balance between the optimization of performance and energy consumption.Due to the node' s mobility of large-scale wireless sensor networks and the depletion of electrical energy causing the failure of communication path and network segmentation mong nodes,and because energy consumption of nodes is mainly its communication, to design the routing with energy saving, low latency, extensibility and improving the fault-tolerance is particularly important.Based on the large-scale wireless sensor networks,mainly through introducing the methods of nonlinear modeling,this paper analyzes the fine-grained mapping between the system of energy consumption and software, builds and optimizes the software model of energy consumption and energy consumption-balance model of service quality, and commits to form an effective energy saving to lay a foundation for construction of low energy consumption of wireless sensor network. Research achievement has significant theoretical and application value in public safety, disaster prevention, ecological and environmental protection, urban management, smart home, intelligent transportation, medical and health care, industrial monitoring, green agriculture and other fields.展开更多
