Under normal distribution assumptions the model considers the level of total traffic flow the variability of link flows and the violation of the conservation law.Using prior link flows the prior distribution of all the variables is determined. By updating some observed link flows the posterior distribution is given.The variances of the posterior distribution normally decrease with the progressive update of the link flows. Based on the posterior distribution point estimations and the corresponding probability intervals are provided. To remove inconsistencies in OD matrices estimation and traffic assignment a combined BN and stochastic user equilibrium model is proposed in which the equilibrium solution is obtained through iterations.Results of the numerical example demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed BN model and the combined method.展开更多

In this paper, an enhanced iterative joint channel estimation and symbol detection algorithm is proposed to enhance the system throughput and data rate. With lower pilot power, the proposed scheme increases system throughput firstly, and then the channel estimation and symbol detection proceed iteratively within one OFDM symbol to improve the BER performance. In the proposed algorithm, the original channel estimate of each OFDM symbol is based on the channel estimate of the previous OFDM symbol, thus the variation of the mobile channel is traced efficiently, so the number of pilots in the time domain can be reduced greatly. Besides reducing the system overhead, the proposed algorithm is also shown by simulation to give much better BER performance than the conventional iterative algorithm does.展开更多

Experiments were done using these front profiles in the Nort...The authors designed three different front profiles for supercavitating vehicles based on cavity theory and the Granville streamlined equation are designed. Experiments were done using these front profiles in the Northwestern Polytechnical University high-speed water tunnel. The experiments indicated that the critical volume of gas required for supercavitation is affected by the axial distribution of the front-end's slope. The experimental data showed critical gas flow rates required for the three designs were less than rood-l, with the greatest decrease 24%. The experimental results also showed the supercavitation generation speeds of the models were faster than mod-1 by up to 32.4%. This verifies that the front profile of a supercaviting vehicle effects supercavity generation speed and critical gas flow rates. The smaller the changes in axial distribution of pressure, the higher the supercavity generation speed. The smaller the changes in curvature distribution of axial, the smaller the critical gas flow rates.展开更多

MSC1210 microcontroller is used in data collection device in order to make system accurate and fast. In addition, wireless and Internet technologies are used for transferring and displaying collected field data. A prototype system has been completed and tested in field trials. The results proved the feasibility and usefulness of this system for monitoring the temperature. By using this system, a lot of resources and money can be saved.展开更多

Our study deals with two major issues impacting current WebGIS development: interoperability of heterogeneous data and visualization of vector data on the Web. By using the combination of Geography Markup Language (...Our study deals with two major issues impacting current WebGIS development: interoperability of heterogeneous data and visualization of vector data on the Web. By using the combination of Geography Markup Language (GML), Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) and Web Feature Service (WFS) Implementation Specifications developed by the OpenGIS Consortium (OGC), a strategy of WebGIS is proposed. The GML is used as a coding and data transportation mechanism to realize interoperability, the SVG to display GML data on the Web and the WFS as a data query mechanism to access and retrieve data at the feature level in real time on the Web. A case study shows that the combination mentioned above has enormous potential to achieve interoperability while not requiring considerable changes to existing legacy data. Original data formats need not be changed and could still be retrieved using WFS and transformed into GML in real time. SVG can oroduce suoerior ouality vector maps on a Web browser.展开更多
