The results show that the volume fraction of dynamic recrystallization grains increases and the original grains are gradually replaced by recrystallization grains with the strain rate decreasing. A larger elongation and a smaller r-value are obtained at a lower strain rate, moreover the erichsen values become larger with the strain rate reducing, so the formability improves. This problem arises in part from the enhanced softening and the coordination of recrystallization grains during deformation.展开更多

A study was conducted to evaluate the effects of meat and bone meal (MBM) and poultry by-product meal (PBM) as the replacement of fishmeal in the diets on the growth performance, survival and apparent digestibilit...A study was conducted to evaluate the effects of meat and bone meal (MBM) and poultry by-product meal (PBM) as the replacement of fishmeal in the diets on the growth performance, survival and apparent digestibility coefficient (ADC) of Japanese flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus). The experimental diets included 0%, 20%, 40%, 60% and 80% MBM or PBM replacement of total fishmeal respectively. All diets were iso-nitrogenous and isocaloric. The results showed that there are no significant differences (P 〉0.05) in growth performance among the treatments fed with 0% -60% MBM replacement of fishmeal, while the percent weight gain (WG, % ), body length gain (BLG, % ) and ADC significantly decrease when fishmeal is replaced by 80% MBM. The result showed also that there are no significant differences (P 〉0.05) in growth performance and ADC among all treatments fed with the diets with 0% -80% replacements of fishmeal with PBM.展开更多
In rechargeable wireless sensor networks, a sensor cannot be always benefi cial to conserve energy when a network can harvest excessive energy from the environment due to its energy replenished continually and limited...In rechargeable wireless sensor networks, a sensor cannot be always benefi cial to conserve energy when a network can harvest excessive energy from the environment due to its energy replenished continually and limited energy storage capacity. Therefore, surplus energy of a node can be utilized for strengthening packet delivery efficiency and improving data collection rate. In this work, we propose an algorithm to compute an upper data generation rate that maximizes it as an optimization problem for a network with multiple sinks, which is formulated as a linear programming problem. Subsequently, a dual problem by introducing Lagrange multipliers is constructed, and subgradient algorithms are used to solve it in a distributed manner. The resulting algorithms are guaranteed to converge to an optimal data generation rate, which are illustrated by an example in which an optimum data generation rate is computed for a network of randomly distributed nodes. Through extensive simulation and experiments, we demonstrate our algorithm is efficient to maximize data collection rate in rechargeable wireless sensor networks.展开更多
The dissociation rates of methane hydrates formed with and without the presence of sodium dodecyl sulfate (methane-SDS hydrates), were measured under atmospheric pressure and temperatures below ice point to investig...The dissociation rates of methane hydrates formed with and without the presence of sodium dodecyl sulfate (methane-SDS hydrates), were measured under atmospheric pressure and temperatures below ice point to investigate the influence of the hydrate production conditions and manners upon its dissociation kinetic behavior. The experimental results demonstrated that the dissociation rate of methane hydrate below ice point is strongly dependent on the manners of hydrate formation and processing. The dissociation rate of hydrate formed quiescently was lower than that of hydrate formed with stirring; the dissociation rate of hydrate formed at lower pressure was higher than that of hydrate formed at higher oressure; the comoaction of hydrate after its formation lowered its stability, i.e., increased'its dissociation rate.The stability of hydrate could beincreased by prolonging the time period for which hydrate was held at formation temperature and pressure before it was cooled down, or by prolonging the time period for which hydrate was held at dissociation temperature and formation pressure before it was depressurized to atmospheric pressure. It was found that the dissociation rate of methane hydrate varied with the temperature (ranging from 245.2 to 272.2 K) anomalously as reported on the dissociation of methane hydrate without the presence of surfactant as kinetic promoter. The dissociation rate at 268 K was found to be the lowest when the manners and conditions at which hydrates were formed and processed were fixed.展开更多

However, this image is accompanied by strong background noises, because the wavefi elds in all propagation directions contribute to it. Given this issue, we improve the conventional imaging method in the two aspects. First, the amplitude-preserved P-and S-wavef ield are obtained by using an improved space-domain wavef ield separation scheme to decouple the original elastic wavef ield. Second, a convertedwave imaging condition is constructed based on the directional-wavefield separation and only the wavefields propagating in the same directions used for cross-correlation imaging, resulting in effectively eliminating the imaging artifacts of the wavefields with different directions;Complex-wavefi eld extrapolation is adopted to decompose the decoupled P-and S-wavefield into directional-wavefields during backward propagation, this improves the eff iciency of the directional-wavef ield separation. Experiments on synthetic data show that the improved method generates more accurate converted-wave images than the conventional one. Moreover, the improved method has application potential in micro-seismic and passive-source exploration due to its source-independent characteristic.展开更多
With recent developments of sophisticated experimental techniques and advanced theoretical methods/computations, the field of chemical dynamics has reached the point that theoryexperiment comparisons can be made at a ...With recent developments of sophisticated experimental techniques and advanced theoretical methods/computations, the field of chemical dynamics has reached the point that theoryexperiment comparisons can be made at a quantitative level in very fine details for a prototypical A+BC system. As the system becomes larger, more degrees of freedom are involved and the complexity increases exponentially. At the same time, the multifaceted nature of polyatomic systems also opens up the possibilities for observing many new chemistry and novel phenomena|a land of opportunities. For the past 15 years or so my laboratory has delved into the reaction dynamics of methane+X (X: F, Cl, O(3P), and OH). This effort shifts the paradigm in the field of reaction dynamics by making the title reaction a benchmark polyatomic system. In this account, I shall disclose my thinking behind some of the key concepts and methods we introduced and how the unexpectedly discovered phenomena led to other uncharted territories. Those ndings not only enrich our understanding of the specific reactions we studied at the most fundamental level and inspire the theoretical developments, but also shape our thinking and lay the foundation for future explorations of different aspects of the multifaceted nature of polyatomic reactivity.展开更多

Both angular and translational energy distributions for the CO products at different rotational and vibrational states have been obtained. The 2+1 REMPI spectrum of CO products is also obtained. The results are as bellow: (i) CO products in the first two vibrational states ( v"=0 and v"=1 ) exhibit significant rotational excitation. Furthermore the rotational excitation of CO at the v"=0 level is noticeably higher than that at the v"=1 level. (ii) It was found that the major photodissociation pathway of ketene at 218 nm is the CH2(ǎ^1A1)+CO(X^1∑^+) channel, while the CH2(b^1B1)+CO(X^1∑^+) channel and the CH2(X^3B1)+CO(X^1E^+) channel are also likely present, (iii) The anisotropy parameters β of CO different rovibronic states all appear to be larger than zero. B...In order to realize a high accuracy seismic exploration in the high electro-magnetic field and to improve oil producibility and recovery efficiency,a three-component photoelastic waveguide accelerometer is designed. Based on the photoelastic effect,the Mach-Zehnder integrated optical interferometer is designed to measure the three-orthogonal components of acceleration and the combined three-component simple harmonic vibrator is designed to reduce the cross-talk among the acceleration components. According to the variation of LiNbO3 waveguide phase under the action of the applied acceleration,the cross-axise sensitivity and transverse sensitivity ratio(TSR) were analysed. The results reveal that the accelerometer has wide band and good linearity. It can satisfy the sensor requirements of high accuracy seismic exploration. The main design parameters of the geophone system are:phase sensitivity:1.86×10-4 Rad·m-1·s-2,natural frequency:3 500 Hz,and the transverse sensitivity ratio:0.11%.展开更多

The media used for were Ceramic Ring A (CRA...Lab scale biological treatment system was constructed from acrylic and operated using synthetic wastewater to evaluate the nitrification performance using different media. The media used for were Ceramic Ring A (CRA), Ceramic Ring B (CRB), Japanese Filter Mat (JFM), and Filter Wool (FW). Laboratory studies were conducted, in order to evaluate the nitrification performance of different media types, at different synthetic wastewater flow rates, ranging from 0.03 to 0.045 m3/hr. The results from experiments suggest that at higher water flow rates, there was a decrease in nitrification for all media types. Based on the ammonia and nitrite removal rates, FW media gave the optimum nitrification, of up to 0.46 g/m2/day and 0.09 g/m2/day, respectively. Besides, in this study, the surface texture of the media is the main factor that affected the volumetric ammonia and nitrite conversion rates (VTR and VNR). JFM gave the greatest VTR and VNR performance, compared with the other media展开更多

Objective:Free-hand pedicle screw placement has a high incidence of pedicle perforation which can be reduced with fluoroscopy,navigation or an alternative rapid prototyping drill guide template.In our study the error...Objective:Free-hand pedicle screw placement has a high incidence of pedicle perforation which can be reduced with fluoroscopy,navigation or an alternative rapid prototyping drill guide template.In our study the error rate of multi-level templates for pedicle screw placement in lumbar and sacral regions was evaluated.Methods:A case series study was performed on 11 patients.Seventy-two screws were implanted using multilevel drill guide templates manufactured with selective laser sintering.According to the optimal screw direction preoperatively defined,an analysis of screw misplacement was performed.Displacement,deviation and screw length difference were measured.The learning curve was also estimated.Results:Twelve screws (17%) were placed more than 3.125 mm out of its optimal position in the centre of pedicle.The tip of the 16 screws (22%) was misplaced more than 6.25 mm out of the predicted optimal position.According to our predefined goal,19 screws (26%) were implanted inaccurately.In 10 cases the screw length was selected incorrectly:1 (1%) screw was too long and 9 (13%) were too short.No clinical signs of neurovascular lesion were observed.Learning curve was insignificantly noticeable (P=0.129).Conclusion:In our study,the procedure of manufacturing and applying multi-level drill guide templates has a 26% chance of screw misplacement.However,that rate does not coincide with pedicle perforation incidence and neurovascular injury.These facts along with a comparison to compatible studies make it possible to summarize that multi-level templates are satisfactorily accurate and allow precise screw placement with a clinically irrelevant mistake factor.Therefore templates could potentially represent a useful tool for routine pedicle screw placement.展开更多

Senders may adjust signaling rate depending on receiver identity, presence of audiences, or noise masking the signal, all of which can affect the benefits and costs of signal production. In the cooperative breeding meerkat Suricata suricatta, group members emit soft contact calls, termed as "close calls", while foraging in order to maintain group cohesion. Here, we investigated how the close calling rate during foraging was affected by the presence of pups, that produce continuous, noisy begging calls as they follow older group members. Adults decreased their overall close call rate substantially when pups were foraging with the group in comparison to periods when no pups were present. We suggest this decrease was likely due to a masking effect of the loud begging calls, which makes the close call function of maintaining group cohesion partly redundant as the centrally located begging calls can be used in- stead to maintain cohesion. There was some support that adults use close calls strategically to at- tract specific pups based on fitness advantages, that is, as the philopatric sex, females should call more than males and more to female pups than male pups. Dominant females called more than dominant males when a pup was in close proximity, while subordinates showed no sex-based dif- ferences. The sex of the nearest pup did not affect the calling rate of adults. The study shows that meerkats modify their close call production depending on benefits gained from calling and provides an example of the flexible use of one calling system in the presence of another, here contact calls versus begging calls, within the same species.展开更多

The velocity of the bubble wall, the liquid jet velocity at collapse, and the pressure of the water hammer while the liquid jet impacting onto the boundary are found to increase nonlinearly with increasing ambient pressure. The collapse time and the formation time of the liquid jet are found to decrease nonlinearly with increasing ambient pressure. The ratios of the jet formation time to the collapse time, and the displacement of the bubble center to the maximal radius while the jet formation stay invariant when ambient pressure changes. These ratios are independent of ambient pressure.展开更多

文摘The temperature of powder bed is very important for selective laser sintering system(SLS),because it directly affects the quality of part.Furthermore,the temperature of powder bed should alter according to the slicing section contour of model in order to ensure that the integration is successful and intelligent.Namely,the temperature of powder bed should change with shape of CAD model at different height.The paper illuminates how to distinguish the slicing contour loops from adjacent region.In this way,the temperature can be adaptively adjusted with altering of the sectional contours.
文摘Lab scale biological treatment system was constructed from acrylic and operated using synthetic wastewater to evaluate the nitrification performance using different media. The media used for were Ceramic Ring A (CRA), Ceramic Ring B (CRB), Japanese Filter Mat (JFM), and Filter Wool (FW). Laboratory studies were conducted, in order to evaluate the nitrification performance of different media types, at different synthetic wastewater flow rates, ranging from 0.03 to 0.045 m3/hr. The results from experiments suggest that at higher water flow rates, there was a decrease in nitrification for all media types. Based on the ammonia and nitrite removal rates, FW media gave the optimum nitrification, of up to 0.46 g/m2/day and 0.09 g/m2/day, respectively. Besides, in this study, the surface texture of the media is the main factor that affected the volumetric ammonia and nitrite conversion rates (VTR and VNR). JFM gave the greatest VTR and VNR performance, compared with the other media

文摘The recen tly cons true ted cryogenic cylindrical ion trap velocity map imaging spectrometer(CIT-VMI)has been upgraded for coincidence imaging of both ionic and neutral photofragments from photodissociation of ionic species.The prepared ions are cooled down in a homemade cryogenic cylindrical ion trap and then extracted for photodissociation experiments.Wi th the newly designed elec trie fields for extraction and acceleration,the ion beam can be accelerated to more than 4500 eV,which is necessary for velocity imaging of the neutral photofragments by using the position-sensitive imaging detect or.The setup has been tested by the 355 nm pho todissocia tion dynamics of the argon dimer cat ion(Ar2+).From the recorded experimen tal images of both neu tral Ar and ionic Ar+fragments,we interpret velocity resolutions of△v/vu4.6%for neutral fragments,and△v/vul.5%for ionic fragments,respectively.
文摘Objective:Free-hand pedicle screw placement has a high incidence of pedicle perforation which can be reduced with fluoroscopy,navigation or an alternative rapid prototyping drill guide template.In our study the error rate of multi-level templates for pedicle screw placement in lumbar and sacral regions was evaluated.Methods:A case series study was performed on 11 patients.Seventy-two screws were implanted using multilevel drill guide templates manufactured with selective laser sintering.According to the optimal screw direction preoperatively defined,an analysis of screw misplacement was performed.Displacement,deviation and screw length difference were measured.The learning curve was also estimated.Results:Twelve screws (17%) were placed more than 3.125 mm out of its optimal position in the centre of pedicle.The tip of the 16 screws (22%) was misplaced more than 6.25 mm out of the predicted optimal position.According to our predefined goal,19 screws (26%) were implanted inaccurately.In 10 cases the screw length was selected incorrectly:1 (1%) screw was too long and 9 (13%) were too short.No clinical signs of neurovascular lesion were observed.Learning curve was insignificantly noticeable (P=0.129).Conclusion:In our study,the procedure of manufacturing and applying multi-level drill guide templates has a 26% chance of screw misplacement.However,that rate does not coincide with pedicle perforation incidence and neurovascular injury.These facts along with a comparison to compatible studies make it possible to summarize that multi-level templates are satisfactorily accurate and allow precise screw placement with a clinically irrelevant mistake factor.Therefore templates could potentially represent a useful tool for routine pedicle screw placement.
文摘In animals, signaling behavior is often context-dependent, with variation in the probability of emitting certain signals dependent on fitness advantages. Senders may adjust signaling rate depending on receiver identity, presence of audiences, or noise masking the signal, all of which can affect the benefits and costs of signal production. In the cooperative breeding meerkat Suricata suricatta, group members emit soft contact calls, termed as "close calls", while foraging in order to maintain group cohesion. Here, we investigated how the close calling rate during foraging was affected by the presence of pups, that produce continuous, noisy begging calls as they follow older group members. Adults decreased their overall close call rate substantially when pups were foraging with the group in comparison to periods when no pups were present. We suggest this decrease was likely due to a masking effect of the loud begging calls, which makes the close call function of maintaining group cohesion partly redundant as the centrally located begging calls can be used in- stead to maintain cohesion. There was some support that adults use close calls strategically to at- tract specific pups based on fitness advantages, that is, as the philopatric sex, females should call more than males and more to female pups than male pups. Dominant females called more than dominant males when a pup was in close proximity, while subordinates showed no sex-based dif- ferences. The sex of the nearest pup did not affect the calling rate of adults. The study shows that meerkats modify their close call production depending on benefits gained from calling and provides an example of the flexible use of one calling system in the presence of another, here contact calls versus begging calls, within the same species.

文摘The dynamics of the laser-induced bubble at different ambient pressures was numerically studied by Finite Volume Method (FVM). The velocity of the bubble wall, the liquid jet velocity at collapse, and the pressure of the water hammer while the liquid jet impacting onto the boundary are found to increase nonlinearly with increasing ambient pressure. The collapse time and the formation time of the liquid jet are found to decrease nonlinearly with increasing ambient pressure. The ratios of the jet formation time to the collapse time, and the displacement of the bubble center to the maximal radius while the jet formation stay invariant when ambient pressure changes. These ratios are independent of ambient pressure.
