[Method] The cuttings of 1, 2 or 3 years old, with different length, were soak...[Objective] The aim was to explore the effects of different factors on rapid propagation and seedling survival of Lonicera japonica Thunb. [Method] The cuttings of 1, 2 or 3 years old, with different length, were soaked in different hormones at different concentrations for different time and planted at different dates. Finally, their rooting rate and survival rate in different treatments were measured and compared. [Result] The rooting rate and survival rate of one-year old cuttings with length of 10-13 cm and planted on September 20 and October 20, 2012 were relatively higher among all the treatments. Hormone treatment could significantly promote the callus formation and accelerate the rooting of the cuttings, and improve their survival rate. The cuttings treated with 120-200 mg/L ABT1 or NAA for 35-45 min had higher rooting rate and survival rate. Among them, the survival rate of cuttings treated with 160 mg/L ABT1 for 35 min was the highest, up to 92.5%. [Conclusion] The study provided basis for improving the survival rate of L. japonica by cuttage, and for optimizing the rapid propagation technique.展开更多

METHODS Eightyseven pa...OBJECTIVE To evaluate the clinical efficacy and toxicities of simultaneous modulated accelerated radiotherapy (SMART) and concurrent chemotherapy for locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma. METHODS Eightyseven patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma received SMART from April 2002 to September 2006. According to the UICC staging system, 30 patients were diagnosed as stage IIb, 42 patients stage III, 13 patients stage IVa and 2 patients stage IVb. The intensitymodulated radiotherapy was delivered with the "step and shoot" SMART technique with the prescribed dose of 66-76 Gy (2.2-2.4 Gy/day) to the gross tumor volume (GTV) and positive neck lymph nodes (GTVLN), with 60 Gy (2.0 Gy/day) to the highrisk clinical target volume (CTV1), encompassing the area around the nasopharynx and the upper neck, and with 54 Gy (1.8 Gy/day) to the lowrisk clinical target volume (CTV2), including the lower neck and supraclavicular area. Among all the patients, 31 received 2 cycles of SMART concurrently with 5 fluorouracil (5-Fu) and cisplatin (the FP group) and 56 received 2 cycles of concurrent cisplatin. All the patients received 3 to 4 cycles of adjuvant combination chemotherapy of cisplatin and 5fluorouracil starting from the 1st month after completion of SMART. RESULTS With a median follow up of 59 months (ranging from 19 to 85 months), the 1, 2 and 3year overall survival rates were 100%, 94.6% and 91.3% respectively. Acute mucositis and pharyngitis were more frequently observed in the FP group than in the cisplatin group. CONCLUSION SMART technique provides an excellent opportunity to spare normal tissue and is probably more biologically effective. Combination of single cisplatin was more tolerable.展开更多

Hospitalization during the past 12 mo was identified in the patient’s clinic records, and the first hospitalization after gait speed assessment (or the competing event of death) was identifed in the 2013 United States Renal Data System Standard Analysis Files.characterized 34.7% of the patients, and 27.1% had experienced a recent fall. Patients with slow gait speed but without a history of recent falls were 1.79 times more likely to have been hospitalized during the past 12 mo (OR = 1.79, 95%CI: 1.11-2.88, P = 0.02), and patients with slow gait speed and a history of recent falls were over two times more likely to have been hospitalized (OR = 2.10, 95%CI: 1.19-3.73, P = 0.01), compared with patients having faster gait speed and no recent fall history. The present study in...Objective: Phase-contrast X-ray imaging which reduces radiation exposure, is a promising technique for observing the inner structures of biological soft tissues without the aid of contrast agents. The present study intends to depict blood vessels of rabbits and human livers with hard X-ray in-line outline imaging without contrast agents using synchrotron radiation. Methods: All samples were fixed with formalin and sliced into 6 mm sections. The imaging experiments were performed with Fuji-IX80 films on the 4W1A light beam of the first generation synchrotron radiation in Beijing, China. The device of the experiment, which supplies a maximum light spot size of 20×10 mm was similar to that of in-line holography. The photon energy was set at 8 KeV and high quality imagines were obtained by altering the distance between the sample and the film. Results: The trees of rabbit-liver blood vessels and the curved vessels of the cirrhotic human liver were revealed on the images, where vessels < 20 μm in diameter were differentiated. Conclusion: These results show that the blood vessels of liver samples can be revealed by using hard X-ray in-line outline imaging with the first generation synchrotron radiation without contrast agents.展开更多

The curve of surface roughness versus honing time showed a rapid improvement initially and thereafter became steady, manifesting a saturation effect. The optimal honing time related to surface roughness was determined to be approximately 20 s. As the surface roughness increased, the critical loads reduced. At an average surface roughness (Ra) of 0.028 p.m, the highest critical loads of TiN and TiAlN coating layers were 98 and 114 N, respectively. Tool performances of uncoated and coated tools were conducted under high speed machining (HSM) of AISI D2 cold-worked die steel (62 HRC). Consequently, the TiAlN coated end-mill using honing treatment showed excellent tool life under HSM conditions.展开更多

Methods: Twenty SD rats anesthe tized with chlo ral hydrate (300 mg/kg, i.p.) were evenly and randomly divided into control and EA groups. Ventricular arrhythmia was induced by intravenous infusion of 0.001% a conitine (i.v., 3.5 mg/kg, 0.4 mL/min). EA (4~16 Hz, 1~3 V) was applied to "N eiguan "(内关 PC 6) and "Jianshi"(间使 PC 5) for 30 min. ECG was recorded and analyz ed to deter mine ventricular premature beat (VPB), ventricular tachycardia (VT) and ventricu lar fibrillation (VF). Results: EA elevated the dose threshold o f aconitine-indu ced VF (P<0.05), delayed the occurrence of VT and VF (P <0.01), prolonged the sur vival time and reduced the mortality of rats treated with aconitine (P< 0.01). Conclusion: EA can suppress aconitine-induced ventricular tachyarr hythmia.展开更多

Methods: This study was carried out on 12 patients, treated for pelvis tumor; and total of 240 images obtained by electronic portal image device (EPID) were analyzed. The EPIs acquire using EPID attached to the Siemens linear accelerator. The anatomy match- ing software (Theraview) was used and displacement in two dimensions were noted for each treatment field to study patient setup errors. Results: The percentages of mean deviations less than 5 mm in X direction were 65% & 92%, from 5-10 mm were 31% & 19% and more than 10 mm were 11% & 9% forNP and lateral direction respectively. The percentages of mean deviations less than 5 mm in Y direction were 65% & 63%, from 5-10 mm were 33% & 28% and more than 10 mm were 22% & 29%. The mean deviations in 2D-vector errors were 〈 5 mm in 47% and 46%, 5-10 mm in 36% and 37% and 〉 10 mm in 37% and 37% of images in the NP and lateral direction respectively. Conclusion: The results revealed that the ranges of set up errors are immobilization method to improve reproducibility. The observed variations were not within the limits..展开更多

A parameter, dimensionless total useful energy rate (DTUER), was used as the criterion for performance optimization of cogeneration plant. The effects of cycle parameters, internal irreversibilities, and recuperator efficiency on maximum DTUER and on the efficiency at maximum DTUER were numerically investigated. The relation between DTUER and cogeneration efficiency was also analyzed. The results show that there exists an optimal compressor pressure ratio which maximizes the DTUER. It is also found that there exists an optimal power-to-heat ratio which results in a dual-maximum DTUER.展开更多

After a thorough neurological examination and neuroima...This report describes the case of a patient with dysarthria during the administration of the third cycle of Folfu'i for the treatment of metastatic colon cancer. After a thorough neurological examination and neuroimaging, structural causes were excluded and thus the dysarthria was attributed to the irinotecan infusion. A slowing down of the infusion rate to 180 min during the 15 subsequent cycles led to the cessation of the episodes of dysarthria. In 2016, it was estimated there will be 134,490 new cases of colorectal cancer with a five-year survival rate of 21% among patients with metastatic disease. As Irinotecan is often part of the therapeutic regimen in such cases, both in the first and second-line setting, there is a need to report rare adverse outcomes in order to fmd out ways to better manage of these events. The mechanism by which Irinotecan causes dysarthria is unknown and further research in this area is warranted.展开更多

The most common is ALL (acute lymphoblastic leukemia) affecting the lym...Acute leukemia is the most common childhood cancer and accounts for 31% of all cancers in children. There are two main types of acute leukemia. The most common is ALL (acute lymphoblastic leukemia) affecting the lymphoid lineage, and the more rare AML (acute myeloid leukemia) affecting the myeloid linage. The intention of this thesis is to follow the course of treatment from the admission to the hospital until the last check up and also see how a child will react to the treatment and side effects in later life. We studied literature and my own case records from the period when I was treated for ALL. From the literature and my case records, we can see that children tolerate treatment quite well. Due to rapid diagnostics and the possibility to give high doses chemotherapy, the overall prognosis appears to be very good. Today, acute leukemias of paediatric patients have a really favourable prognosis. The overall survival rate for ALL is higher than 80% and for AML 65%. So the results are good, but there is still a long way to go before we can be satisfied. To date we do not have a contingency program for children treated for acute leukemia after 18 years of age (neither in Norway or Slovakia) so perhaps this should be a focus point in the future. It could be extended to follow up patients in adulthood in order to monitor late effects that may occur in later life after many years of treatment.展开更多
Objective:The aim of the study was to observe the efficacies of 89Sr and combination treatments with regional extra-beam radiotherapy for cancer patients with multiple bone metastasis.Methods:A total of 106 patients w...Objective:The aim of the study was to observe the efficacies of 89Sr and combination treatments with regional extra-beam radiotherapy for cancer patients with multiple bone metastasis.Methods:A total of 106 patients were divided into two groups, and each group were 53 patients:the simple 89Sr treatment group (simple group), and local radiotherapy and 89Sr treatment group (combination group).The dose of 4 mci of 89Sr was made in every patient by intravenous injection, 6 MV linear accelerator external irradiation dose was given 30-60 Gy/2-4 weeks.Results:The effective rates of simple and combination groups were respectively 83.01% and 90.56%; the effective improvement rates of the bone focus of two groups were 75.48% and 86.8%, respectively.There was homologous improvement in general conditions.Conclusion:89Sr treatment has a certain effect to the cancers of whole-body multiple bone metastases.And the combined treatment with regional radiotherapy can improve the efficacy and life quality of cancer patients with bone metastasis.展开更多

EA (4~16 Hz, 1~3 V) was applied to "N eiguan "(内关 PC 6) and "Jianshi"(间使 PC 5) for 30 min. ECG was recorded and analyz ed to deter mine ventricular premature beat (VPB), ventricular tachycardia (VT) and ventricu lar fibrillation (VF). Results: EA elevated the dose threshold o f aconitine-indu ced VF (P<0.05), delayed the occurrence of VT and VF (P <0.01), prolonged the sur vival time and reduced the mortality of rats treated with aconitine (P< 0.01). Conclusion: EA can suppress aconitine-induced ventricular tachyarr hythmia.
文摘Objective: The aim of this work was to quantify the extent of set-up errors to conduct a quality assurance (QA) aspect of treatment delivery, verification of the treatment field's position on different days using electronic portal. Methods: This study was carried out on 12 patients, treated for pelvis tumor; and total of 240 images obtained by electronic portal image device (EPID) were analyzed. The EPIs acquire using EPID attached to the Siemens linear accelerator. The anatomy match- ing software (Theraview) was used and displacement in two dimensions were noted for each treatment field to study patient setup errors. Results: The percentages of mean deviations less than 5 mm in X direction were 65% & 92%, from 5-10 mm were 31% & 19% and more than 10 mm were 11% & 9% forNP and lateral direction respectively. The percentages of mean deviations less than 5 mm in Y direction were 65% & 63%, from 5-10 mm were 33% & 28% and more than 10 mm were 22% & 29%. The mean deviations in 2D-vector errors were 〈 5 mm in 47% and 46%, 5-10 mm in 36% and 37% and 〉 10 mm in 37% and 37% of images in the NP and lateral direction respectively. Conclusion: The results revealed that the ranges of set up errors are immobilization method to improve reproducibility. The observed variations were not within the limits..

文摘A thermodynamic model was developed to analyze the performance of cogeneration plant based on irreversible recuperative Brayton cycle. A parameter, dimensionless total useful energy rate (DTUER), was used as the criterion for performance optimization of cogeneration plant. The effects of cycle parameters, internal irreversibilities, and recuperator efficiency on maximum DTUER and on the efficiency at maximum DTUER were numerically investigated. The relation between DTUER and cogeneration efficiency was also analyzed. The results show that there exists an optimal compressor pressure ratio which maximizes the DTUER. It is also found that there exists an optimal power-to-heat ratio which results in a dual-maximum DTUER.
文摘Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) has been recognized since at least 1940.A review of the literature identifies differences in the definition for this condition and wide variations in treatment and outcomes.This syndrome appears to describe a group of conditions with differing pathophysiology,which requires treatment tailored to the true underlying disorder.Patients need to be fully evaluated to guide treatment.Further research is required to effectively classify the range of underlying pathophysioiogy that can produce this syndrome and to guide optimal management.
文摘The Elekta Precise medical Linac is a typical modern high energy accelerator which uses advanced digital technology and gets acknowledged around the world. It provides both X rays and electrons at various megavoltage energies including two photon energies (6 and 15 MV) and several electron energies (e.g. 6, 9, 12, 15, 18 and 22 MeV). The commonly used dose rate for X rays is 500 MU/min, while that for electors is 400 MU/min. The accelerator is equipped with beam intensity modulation cm2. The width of MLC at 40 pairs of MLC for photon covering fields up to 40 × 40 the isocenter is 10 mm. The maximum leakage is less than 0.3%
文摘This report describes the case of a patient with dysarthria during the administration of the third cycle of Folfu'i for the treatment of metastatic colon cancer. After a thorough neurological examination and neuroimaging, structural causes were excluded and thus the dysarthria was attributed to the irinotecan infusion. A slowing down of the infusion rate to 180 min during the 15 subsequent cycles led to the cessation of the episodes of dysarthria. In 2016, it was estimated there will be 134,490 new cases of colorectal cancer with a five-year survival rate of 21% among patients with metastatic disease. As Irinotecan is often part of the therapeutic regimen in such cases, both in the first and second-line setting, there is a need to report rare adverse outcomes in order to fmd out ways to better manage of these events. The mechanism by which Irinotecan causes dysarthria is unknown and further research in this area is warranted.
文摘Acute leukemia is the most common childhood cancer and accounts for 31% of all cancers in children. There are two main types of acute leukemia. The most common is ALL (acute lymphoblastic leukemia) affecting the lymphoid lineage, and the more rare AML (acute myeloid leukemia) affecting the myeloid linage. The intention of this thesis is to follow the course of treatment from the admission to the hospital until the last check up and also see how a child will react to the treatment and side effects in later life. We studied literature and my own case records from the period when I was treated for ALL. From the literature and my case records, we can see that children tolerate treatment quite well. Due to rapid diagnostics and the possibility to give high doses chemotherapy, the overall prognosis appears to be very good. Today, acute leukemias of paediatric patients have a really favourable prognosis. The overall survival rate for ALL is higher than 80% and for AML 65%. So the results are good, but there is still a long way to go before we can be satisfied. To date we do not have a contingency program for children treated for acute leukemia after 18 years of age (neither in Norway or Slovakia) so perhaps this should be a focus point in the future. It could be extended to follow up patients in adulthood in order to monitor late effects that may occur in later life after many years of treatment.
文摘Objective:The aim of the study was to observe the efficacies of 89Sr and combination treatments with regional extra-beam radiotherapy for cancer patients with multiple bone metastasis.Methods:A total of 106 patients were divided into two groups, and each group were 53 patients:the simple 89Sr treatment group (simple group), and local radiotherapy and 89Sr treatment group (combination group).The dose of 4 mci of 89Sr was made in every patient by intravenous injection, 6 MV linear accelerator external irradiation dose was given 30-60 Gy/2-4 weeks.Results:The effective rates of simple and combination groups were respectively 83.01% and 90.56%; the effective improvement rates of the bone focus of two groups were 75.48% and 86.8%, respectively.There was homologous improvement in general conditions.Conclusion:89Sr treatment has a certain effect to the cancers of whole-body multiple bone metastases.And the combined treatment with regional radiotherapy can improve the efficacy and life quality of cancer patients with bone metastasis.

文摘A solute trapping model is developed based on a so-called solute drag treatment.By adopting a basic approach of phase-field models,and defining the free energy density in the interfacial region,a suitable interface shape function is introduced to derive the current model,in which the equilibrium and non-equilibrium interface behaviours can be described using a dimensionless parameter L (i.e.an important parameter in the present interface shape function).When applying the current model to Si-9%As (molar fraction) alloy with L=0.5,a good prediction of the steeper profile for high interface velocity,which is analogous to that using a phase-field model of DANILOV and NESLTER,has been obtained.
