The corresponding computer program was written by FORTRAN language. The dynamic responses of the high-speed train and slab track under cross-wind action were calculated. Meanwhile, the effects of the cross-wind on the dynamic responses of the system were also analyzed. The results show that the cross-wind has a significant influence on the lateral and vertical displacement responses of the car body, load reduction factor and overturning factor. For example, the maximum lateral displacement responses of the car body of the first trailer with and without cross-wind forces are 32.10 and 1.60 mm, respectively. The maximum vertical displacement responses of the car body of the first trailer with and without cross-wind forces are 6.60 and 3.29 mm, respectively. The maximum wheel load reduction factors of the first trailer with and without cross-wind forces are 0.43 and 0.22, respectively. The maximum overturning factors of the first trailer with and without cross-wind forces are 0.28 and 0.08, respectively. The cross-wind affects the derailment factor and lateral Sperling factor of the moving train to a certain extent. However, the lateral and vertical displacement responses of rails with the crnss-wind are almost the same as those without the cross-wind. The method presented and the corresponding computer program can be used to calculate the interaction between trains and track in cross-wind.展开更多

First domino strokes the next and the wave of falling dominoes propagates. The purpose of this work is to investigate wave speed dependence on various domino parameters as the number of elements and the distance between dominoes and their dimensions. Theoretical examination of falling dominoes process is to create the mathematical model of the process and compare between the calculations and experimental results. An experiment with using of the speed camera was made. The dominoes of three different types of material were used. For theoretical investigation of the problem, the model [1] was used. The program for computer calculations was written. Time of a dominoes row falling was calculated without taking friction between neighbours. The calculation results show that the speed of falling dominoes reaches its constant value. This stable velocity depends on the geometric parameters of dominoes and the surface friction between dominoes but does not depend on the mass of dominoes.展开更多

The prediction of laminar-turbulent transition in boundary layer is very important for obtaining accurate aerodynamic characteristics with computational fluid dynamic(CFD)tools,because laminar-turbulent transition is ...The prediction of laminar-turbulent transition in boundary layer is very important for obtaining accurate aerodynamic characteristics with computational fluid dynamic(CFD)tools,because laminar-turbulent transition is directly related to complex flow phenomena in boundary layer and separated flow in space.Unfortunately,the transition effect isn’t included in today’s major CFD tools because of non-local calculations in transition modeling.In this paper,Menter’sγ-Re_θtransition model is calibrated and incorporated into a Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes(RANS)code-Trisonic Platform(TRIP)developed in China Aerodynamic Research and Development Center(CARDC).Based on the experimental data of flat plate from the literature,the empirical correlations involved in the transition model are modified and calibrated numerically.Numerical simulation for low-speed flow of Trapezoidal Wing(Trap Wing)is performed and compared with the corresponding experimental data.It is indicated that theγ-Re_θtransition model can accurately predict the location of separation-induced transition and natural transition in the flow region with moderate pressure gradient.The transition model effectively imporves the simulation accuracy of the boundary layer and aerodynamic characteristics.展开更多
Transient effects of stress-strain fields in the vicinity of a stationary crack tip under high rate loads are discussed.Exact analytical solutions to near tip stresses are compared to fields prescribed by leading term...Transient effects of stress-strain fields in the vicinity of a stationary crack tip under high rate loads are discussed.Exact analytical solutions to near tip stresses are compared to fields prescribed by leading terms(one or several) of Williams asymptotic expansion.Influence of load application mode,time(or,which is the same,distance from a crack tip) and Poisson's ratio on this discrepancy is extensively examined.Some effects connected with crack tip propagation speed are also discussed.Significant inconsistencies between real(or received in numerical solutions of state equations-e.g.finite element computations) crack tip fields and stress intensity factor(SIF) singular field observed by numerous researchers are explained.The scope of problems where SIF field can be used for correct prediction of dynamic stress-strain fields in the crack tip region is established.Possibility to correctly approximate fields that are not SIF dominated,accounting additional terms of Williams expansion,is studied.展开更多
