In sensor networks,the adversaries can inject false data reports from compromised nodes.Previous approaches to filter false reports,e.g.,SEF,only verify the correctness of the message authentication code (MACs) carrie...In sensor networks,the adversaries can inject false data reports from compromised nodes.Previous approaches to filter false reports,e.g.,SEF,only verify the correctness of the message authentication code (MACs) carried in each data report on intermediate nodes,thus cannot filter out fake reports that are forged in a collaborative manner by a group of compromised nodes,even if these compromised nodes distribute in different geographical areas.Furthermore,if the adversary obtains keys from enough (e.g.,more than t in SEF) distinct key partitions,it then can successfully forge a data report without being detected en-route.A neighbor information based false report filtering scheme (NFFS) in wireless sensor networks was presented.In NFFS,each node distributes its neighbor information to some other nodes after deployment.When a report is generated for an observed event,it must carry the IDs and the MACs from t detecting nodes.Each forwarding node checks not only the correctness of the MACs carried in the report,but also the legitimacy of the relative position of these detecting nodes.Analysis and simulation results demonstrate that NFFS can resist collaborative false data injection attacks efficiently,and thus can tolerate much more compromised nodes than existing schemes.展开更多

It is also an extremely broad concept. The present article takes on the subject of contemporary peace between Israel and her neighbors, addressing the issue from the vantage point of Judaism. While opinions on many issues are divided in Judaism today, all streams within the Jewish tradition uphold the concept of peace. Even so, each stream supports a somewhat different version of this ideal, subject to different limitations or reservations. One of the most serious challenges which Judaism today faces in connection with the State of Israel is the issue of exchanging territories for peace. The goal of the present paper is to show that while most approaches rooted in traditional Judaism have opposed such an exchange, Israel's religious political parties have endorsed it, advancing different arguments in support of their view. The method followed in the present paper is to study the arguments which have been used in support of peace agreements based on return or exchange of land. In light of the arguments put forth in the paper, to be counted among the accomplishments is a greater degree of openness--even on the part of the religious sector in Israel--toward the effort to achieve peace between Israel and her neighbors.展开更多

It is expected that there will be more heat waves, floods, bush fires, coastal erosion and drought. Unfortunately, Australia is vulnerable to climate change due its hot and dry climate and as the driest state; changes are already being felt in South Australia. There is an urgent need to start adapting to climate change to cope with present and predicted climate change in the future by changing or adjusting building regulations, land use plans, and land subdivision regulations. This paper aims to provide design guidelines for adaptation to climate change at the neighborhood level. A case study method was adopted to achieve the aim of this paper. The study was conducted in two stages. The first stage presents the current design of neighborhood and its adopted design parameters for climate change. The second part provides the design guidelines for adaptation to climate change at the neighborhood level. The case study has a well oriented grid iron layout that serves as the basis of orienting and sitting future buildings that can adapt to climate change. However, the orientation of roads is good, it will be necessary to reconfigure elements of landscaping and built environment in order to address climate change in built environment by modifying design elements.展开更多
Hemisphere photos are now widely applied to provide information about solar radiation dynamics,canopy structure and their contribution to biophysical processes,plant productivity and ecosystem properties.The present s...Hemisphere photos are now widely applied to provide information about solar radiation dynamics,canopy structure and their contribution to biophysical processes,plant productivity and ecosystem properties.The present study aims to improve the original‘edge detection’method for binary classifcation between sky and canopy,which works not well for closed canopies.We supposed such inaccuracy probably is due to the infuence of sky pixels on their neighbor canopy pixels.Here,we introduced a new term‘neighbor distance’,defned as the distance between pixels participated in the calculation of contrast at the edges between classifed canopy and sky,into the‘edge detection’method.We showed that choosing a suitable neighbor distance for a photo with a specifc gap fraction can signifcantly improve the accuracy of the original‘edge detection’method.We developed an ND-IS(Neighbor Distance-Iteration Selection)method that can automatically determine the threshold values of hemisphere photos with high accuracy and reproductivity.It combines the modifed‘edge detection’method and an iterative selection method,with the aid of an empirical power function for the relationship between neighbor distance and manually verifed gap fraction.This procedure worked well throughout a broad range of gap fractions(0.019-0.945)with different canopy compositions and structures,in fve forest biomes along a broad gradient of latitude and longitude across Eastern China.Our results highlight the necessity of integrating neighbor distance into the original‘edge detection’algorithm.The advantages and limitations of the method,and the application of the method in the feld were also discussed.展开更多
