针对高强化柴油机中的活塞在实机状况下热疲劳寿命难预测的问题,提出采用加速热疲劳方法的部件模拟试验寿命来预测活塞的实机寿命。基于临界面法,循环计算得到活塞在实机工作条件下和部件模拟条件下的仿真寿命结果,并运用活塞加速热疲... 针对高强化柴油机中的活塞在实机状况下热疲劳寿命难预测的问题,提出采用加速热疲劳方法的部件模拟试验寿命来预测活塞的实机寿命。基于临界面法,循环计算得到活塞在实机工作条件下和部件模拟条件下的仿真寿命结果,并运用活塞加速热疲劳试验数据对仿真的寿命数据进行验证,得到的寿命仿真计算值与试验值一致性较好,验证了临界面法的精确性;通过损伤等效分析,确定活塞实机标定工况下的寿命与台架寿命之间的关系;采用非线性拟合的方法,得到部件模拟条件试验条件下循环寿命与加载时间、最高温度之间的关联式。研究结果表明:在实机工况和部件模拟试验条件下,仿真计算得到活塞最先发生疲劳破坏的位置为喉口区域,说明二者的失效区域和失效特征具有一致性;在活塞喉口最高温度为408.6℃时,得到活塞实机标定工况下的寿命是部件模拟条件下的21.2倍;在活塞部件模拟条件下,最高温度相同时,活塞寿命随加热时间的减小而减小;加热时间相同时,活塞寿命随最高温度的增加而减小;根据拟合的关联式,得到活塞发生破坏时的活化能为61.5 kJ/mol。 展开更多

Changes in Extreme Events as Simulated by a High-Resolution Regional Climate Model for the Next 20-30 Years over China 被引量:4

In this paper, the changes in temperature and precipitation extremes over the next 20-30 years (2021-2050) in relative to the present day (1986-2005) under the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Special Report on Emissions Scenarios (SRES) A1B scenario are analyzed based on a high-resolution climate change simulation performed by a regional climate model (the Abdus Salam International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) RegCM3). The extreme indices of summer days (SU), frost days (FD), and growing season length (GSL) for temperature and simple daily intensity index (SDII), number of days with precipitation ≥10 mm d-1 (R10), and consecutive dry days (CDD) for precipitation are used as the indicators of the extremes. The results show that the indices simulated by RegCM3 in the present day show good agreement with the observed. A general increase in SU, a decrease in FD, and an increase in GSL are found to occur in the next 20-30 years over China. A general increase in SDII, an increase in R10 over western China, and a decrease in R10 in north, northeast, and central China are simulated by the model. Changes in CDD are characterized by a decrease in the north and an increase in the south and the Tibetan Plateau. 展开更多

Sand casting and die casting processes have been used widely for complex automotive products such as knuckle, arm, etc.Usually, a part fabricated by casting has limited strength due to manufacturing defects such as the dendrite structure, segregation and porosities.As an attempt to offer a solution to these problems, forging has been used as an alternative process.However, the forging process provides limited formability for complex shape products.Rheo-forging of metal offers not only superior mechanical strength but also requires significantly lower machine loads than solid forming processes.In order to produce semi-solid materials of the desired microstructure, a stirring process is applied during solidification of molten metal.The results of an A356 aluminum alloy sample, which are obtained by experiment and by simulation using DEFORM 3D, are present. 展开更多

As a crucial component in Cognitive Radio(CR) networks, spectrum sensing has been attracting lots of attention. Some conventional methods for spectrum sensing are sensitive to uncertain signal and noise, its applicability is limited thereof. In this paper, a novel blind spectrum sensing method is proposed, where low-rank and sparse matrix decomposition is applied to the observation signal of a CR in the frequency domain. Then the ratio of the energy of the sparse part and the received signal in the time domain is considered as the criterion to decide whether the radio frequency band is idle by means of a comparison with a predefined threshold. The proposed method is independent of prior knowledge of signal and white noise, and has a better detection performance. Simulation experiments verify the performance of the proposed method in additive white Gaussian noise(AWGN), Rayleighand Rician channels. 展开更多

The Regional Integrated Environmental Model System (RIEMS 2.0) with NCEP Reanalysis II is utilized to simulate the severe freezing rain and snow storm event over southern China in January 2008, which caused severe damage in the region. The relationships between the freezing rain process and the large-scale cir- culation, in terms of the westerly and low-level jets, water vapor transportation, and northerly wind area/intensity indices, were analyzed to tmderstand the mechanisms of the freezing rain occurrence. The results indicate the fol- lowing: (1) RIEMS 2.0 reproduced the pattern of precipi- tation in January 2008 well, especially for the temporal evolution of daily precipitation averaged over the Yangtze River valley and southern China; (2) RIEMS 2.0 repro- duced the persistent trough in the South Branch of the westerlies, of which the southwesterly currents trans- ported abundant moisture into southern China; (3) RIEMS 2.0 reasonably reproduced the pattern of frequencies of light and moderate rain, although it overestimated the frequency of rain in southern China. This study shows that RIEMS 2.0 can be feasibly applied to study extreme weather and climate events in East Asia. 展开更多

Thanks to recent progress enabling a variety of optical transceivers up to 40 Gb/s, many evolution possibilities to 200G PONs (passive optical network) could be investigated. This work proposes two directly deployable cases of evolution to 200G PON based on the combination of these improved optical transceivers and WDM (wavelength division multiplexing). The physical layer of the optical network has been simulated with OptiSystem software to show the communication links performances behavior when considering key components parameters in order to achieve good network design for a given area. The complexity of the proposed architectures and financial cost comparisons are also discussed. 展开更多

Linear mixed-effects models are widely used in analysis of longitudinal data. However, testing for zero-variance components of random effects has not been well-resolved in statistical literature, although some likelihood-based procedures have been proposed and studied. In this article, we propose a generalized p-value based method in coupling with fiducial inference to tackle this problem. The proposed method is also applied to test linearity of the nonparametric functions in additive models. We provide theoretical justifications and develop an implementation algorithm for the proposed method. We evaluate its finite-sample performance and compare it with that of the restricted likelihood ratio test via simulation experiments. We illustrate the proposed approach using an application from a nutritional study. 展开更多

Landscape design for a green community should be favorable for the ambient ecological environment and for enhancement of both the local climate of a residential area and the environmental quality of life. This paper presents optimization methods for plant landscape design that take account of results of comparisons of noise reduction effects, heat island temperature decreases and effects on ventilation. These methods are based on different plant configurations and various luminous environments, such as exterior sunshine and shaded areas after the simulation of exterior luminous, acoustic and thermal environments of a residential area using the analytic software ECOTECT, CADNA/A, and PHEONICS. Three different types of residential buildings are simulated including a faculty apartment in the Xixi Campus of Zhejiang University, the Huaqing Villa and the Gangwan Jiayuan faculty apartment of Zhejiang University, China, based on green building design theory. In addition, the methods and process flow of landscape design of green residential areas are also described for the improvement of the exterior physical living environment. 展开更多
