The structure of the complex was confirmed by elemental analysis, ^1H NMR, and mass spectroscopy. The UV-Vis absorption and photoluminescent properties of the complex were investigated. The complex shows strong ^1MLCT (singlet metal to ligand charge-transfer) and aMLCT (triplet metal to ligand charge-transfer) absorption at 382 and 504 nm, respectively. The complex also shows strong photoluminescence at 573 nm at room temperature. These results suggest the complex to be a promising phosphorescent material.展开更多

The compositions and structures of the ligands and their complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductivities, electronic absorption spectra and infra-red spectra. Their inhibition rates to free radical, such as O2, were also tested. The results show that all of the obtained complexes display significant activities, among which the copper(Ⅱ) complexes have the best inhibitive effects.展开更多

The result doesnt support the hypothesis that the pH of the finishing bath can affect the depolymerization of the finished cotton fabric. In order to understand more about it, the molecular weight distributions of the control and finished cotton fabrics were measured and the reason was fund. From the ratio and the molecular weight of the low molecular part one can see that the pH of the finishing bath can affect the depolymerization of the finished cotton fabrics. The phenomenon that the average molecular weights of the cotton fabric crosslinked with BTCA at different pH are almost same is attributed to that the crosslinks are not broken completely when treated with 0.5 M NaOH solution at 50℃ for 144 h.展开更多

The minimum consumption targets of the resources and pinch-causing sources can be identified as well during design. The objective of this work is to reduce the consumption of the resources with higher quality due to their higher cost. A few examples are investigated to show the proposed method. For a net-work of single resource with single contaminant, there is often only one pinch point for the resource. On the other hand, for a network of multiple resources with single contaminant, there might be a few different pinch points. Each resource might have its own pinch point, if its amount is sufficient. The contaminant concentration of the pinch-causing source for a resource with lower concentration will be below that of the higher-concentration resource(s).展开更多

Three new heterometallic coordination compounds, namely, [KCu(I3)(L)2(H2O)2]n (1), [KCu(I3)(L)2(H20)]n (2) and [CIIK4(I3)z(L')4]n (3), were prepared and characterized (HL=5-methylpyrazine-2-car...Three new heterometallic coordination compounds, namely, [KCu(I3)(L)2(H2O)2]n (1), [KCu(I3)(L)2(H20)]n (2) and [CIIK4(I3)z(L')4]n (3), were prepared and characterized (HL=5-methylpyrazine-2-carboxylic acid, HL'=p-tolylacetic acid). Structural studies revealed that 1 and 2 exhibit 3D frameworks with rectangular channels occupied by triiodide ions. Both compounds can be symbolized as a 5-connected net with pcu topology. In compound 3, a one-dimensional polyhedral chain is connected by hexanuclear mask like clusters [Cu2K408]. These chains are further linked each other via rare (1,1,3,3)-triiodide ion-bridging units to generate a 3D (4,5,6)-connected net with the point symbol of { 12}2{4·12^2}4{4^6}{4^8·62}4{49.66}4. It is noteworthy that water-induced reversible dissolution/reorganization processes occur between 1/2 and [Cu(L)2(HzO)],'3nH20. The thermal and photoluminescence properties of compounds 1, 2, and 3 were investigated as well.展开更多

In the last few years, significant progress has been made in the synthesis and characterization of the imido, oxo, sulfido, and carbene-containing complexes of thorium. Such thorium complexes are of interest because of their unique structural properties, their potential application in novel group transfer reactions and catalysis, as well as their ability to engage the 5f orbitals in metal-ligand bonding. This short review summarizes the synthesis and reactivity of these thorium complexes.展开更多
