RS is a promising way to detect signatures across platforms when integrating with one vs. all (OVA) or one vs. one (OVO) schemes of comparison. Among six published microarray expression datasets on acute leukemia, the biological signals hereafter provide stronger clustering support than systematic differences among microarray platforms. Moreover, the pediatric BCR_ABL specific genes can be used to correctly discriminate independent adult BCR ABL cases. The obtained results redound to discover, validate and treat the subtypes from microarray gene expression profiles of cancer, which have been plentifully researched, such as leukemia.展开更多

METHODS: Twenty male Wistar ra...AIM: To study liver cell apoptosis caused by the toxicity of selenium and observe the alteration of choline compounds using in vitro 9.4T high resolution magnetic resonance spectroscopy. METHODS: Twenty male Wistar rats were randomly divided into two groups. The rats in the treatment group were intraperitoneally injected with sodium selenite and the control group with distilled water. All rats were sacrifi ced and the livers were dissected. 1H-MRS data were collected using in vitro 9.4T high resolution magnetic resonance spectrometer. Spectra were processed using XWINNMR and MestRe-c 4.3. HE and TUNEL staining was employed to detect and confi rm the change of liver cells. RESULTS: Good 1H-MR spectra of perchloric acid extract from liver tissue of rats were obtained. The conventional metabolites were detected and assigned. Concentrations of different ingredient choline compounds in treatment group vs control group were as follows: total choline compounds,5.08 ± 0.97 mmol/L vs 3.81 ± 1.16 mmol/L (P = 0.05); and free choline,1.07 ± 0.23 mmol/L vs 0.65 ± 0.20 mmol/L (P = 0.00). However,there was no statistical signif icance between the two groups. The hepatic sinus and cellular structure of hepatic cells in treatmentgroup were abnormal. Apoptosis of hepatic cells was confi rmed by TUNEL assay. CONCLUSION: High dose selenium compounds can cause the rat liver lesion and induce cell apoptosis in vivo. High resolution 1H-MRS in vitro can detect diversified metabolism. The changing trend for different ingredient of choline compounds is not completely the same at early period of apoptosis.展开更多
The dromedary camel (Camelus dromedarius) is a significant socioeconomic importance in several arid and semi-arid regions of North Africa and Middle East, and its milk constitutes an important component of human die...The dromedary camel (Camelus dromedarius) is a significant socioeconomic importance in several arid and semi-arid regions of North Africa and Middle East, and its milk constitutes an important component of human diets in these regions. The camel milk plays a vital role in the food of the Algerian nomads in the Sahara. During February and September, 20 samples of the raw camel's milk were taken starting from different livestock of camels from three different Sahariennes regions (Bechar, EI-Bayadh and Naama). These 20 collected samples were analyzed by physico-chemical and microbiological methods. The results of physicochemical analyze obtained from two hot and cold seasons are respectively the following: T ~C (35.83 and 33.95), pH (6.36 and 6.49), density (1.031 and 1.032), dornic acidity (18.6 and 18.3 ~D), dry matter (93.4 and 144.8 g/L), fat contents (30 and 52.1 g/L), total protein (26.3 and 33.1 g/L) and ashes (7.46 and 8.66 g/L). The protein profile obtained by electrophoretic analysis (SDS-PAGE) showed that camel milk contains several types of proteins and some have a molecular weight identical to major proteins of the cow's milk. The final results showed that camel milk has generally a comparable composition to that of bovine milk. The microbiological analysis, of these samples, detected a significant number of the total microflora, Staphylococcus aureus and total coliforms. The absence of Clostridium and fecal coliforms was observed. Several species of lactic acid bacteria were detected such as Lactococcus lactis subsp, lactis, Lactococcus lactis subsp, lactis biovar, diacetylactis, Weissella cibaria and Enteroccocusfeacalis.展开更多

Methods: The affinity chromatography purified glutashione-S-transferase/Cdc25A phosphatase fusion protein and Cdc2/cyclin B from the extracts of starfish M phase oocytes are used as the cell cycle-specific targets for screening the antimitotic constituents. We tested 9 extracts isolated from the Chinese medicinal herbs and vegetables including the agents currently used in cancer treatment by measuring the inhibition of Cdc25A phosphatase and Cdc2 kinase activity. The antitumor activity of the extracts was also evaluated by MTT (3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide) assay and flow cytometry.Results: Cdc25A inhibitory activity and antitumor activity are detected in the extracts isolated from three Chinese medicinal herbs Agrimonapilosa; Herba solani lyrati; Galla chinesis. Conclusion: We found three extracts isolated from Chinese medicinal herbs have potential inhibitory activity of Cdc25 phosphatase using a highly specific mechanism-based screen assay for antimitotic drug discovery.展开更多

It is found that the phosphate precursors(Na_(3)PO_(4), Na_(2)HPO_(4)and NaH_(2)PO_(4)) have diverse effects on the morphology and thus the oxygen evolution reaction activity of the formed final catalysts. The resulting NiFe(oxy)hydroxides nanosheets prepared with Na_(2)HPO_(4)demonstrate a low overpotential of 205 m V to achieve a current density of 50 mA/cm^(2) with a Tafel slope down to 30 mV/dec in 1 mol/L KOH, and remain stable for 20 h during stability test.展开更多
AIM:To perform a meta-analysis of observational studies to further elucidate the relationship between oral bisphosphonate use and gastrointestinal cancer risk.METHODS:Systematic literature search was conducted in MEDL...AIM:To perform a meta-analysis of observational studies to further elucidate the relationship between oral bisphosphonate use and gastrointestinal cancer risk.METHODS:Systematic literature search was conducted in MEDLINE,EMBASE,and the Cochrane Library to identify studies through January 2011.Search terms were "bisphosphonates" or trade names of the drugs,and "observational studies" or "cohort studies" or "case-control studies".Two evaluators reviewed and selected articles on the basis of predetermined selection criteria as followed:(1) observational studies(casecontrol or cohort studies) on bisphosphonate use;(2) with at least 2 years of follow-up;and(3) reported data on the incidence of cancer diagnosis.The DerSimonian and Laird random effects model were used to calculate the pooled relative risk(RR) with 95% confidence interval(CI).Two-by-two contingency table was used to calculate the outcomes not suitable for meta-analysis.Subgroup meta-analyses were conducted for the type of cancer(esophageal,gastric and colorectal cancers).Sensitivity analyses were performed to examine the effect sizes when only studies with long-term follow-up(mean 5 years;subgroup 3 years) were included.RESULTS:Of 740 screened articles,3 cohort studies and 3 case-control studies were included in the analyses.At first,4 cohort studies and 3 case-control studies were selected for the analyses but one cohort study was excluded because the cancer outcomes were not categorized by type of gastrointestinal cancer.More than 124 686 subjects participated in the 3 cohort studies.The mean follow-up time in all of the cohort studies combined was approximately 3.88 years.The 3 casecontrol studies reported 3070 esophageal cancer cases and 15 417 controls,2018 gastric cancer cases and 10 007 controls,and 11 574 colorectal cancer cases and 53 955 controls.The percentage of study participants who used bisphosphonate was 2.8% among the cases and 2.9% among the controls.The meta-analysis of all the studies found no significant association between bisphosphonate use and gastrointestinal cancer.Also no statistically significant association was found in a meta-analysis of long-term follow-up studies.There was no negative association between bisphosphonate use and the incidence of esophageal cancer in the overall analysis(RR 0.96,95% CI:0.65-1.42,I 2 = 52.8%,P = 0.076) and no statistically significant association with long-term follow-up(RR 1.74,95% CI:0.97-3.10,I 2 = 58.8%,P = 0.119).No negative association was found in the studies reporting the risk of gastric cancer(RR 0.89,95% CI:0.71-1.13,I 2 = 0.0%,P = 0.472).In case of colorectal cancer,there was no association between colorectal cancer and bisphosphonate use(RR 0.62,95% CI:0.30-1.29,I 2 = 88.0%,P = 0.004) and also in the analysis with long-term follow-up(RR 0.61,95% CI:0.28-1.35,I 2 = 84.6%,P = 0.011).CONCLUSION:Oral bisphosphonate use had no significant effect on gastrointestinal cancer risk.However,this finding should be validated in randomized controlled trials with long-term follow-up.展开更多
AsSb alloy(0.70−95.81 wt.%As)was prepared by electrodeposition in As(III)and Sb(III)contained electrolytes.The influence of electrolyte composition,hydrochloric acid concentration,and temperature on the composition an...AsSb alloy(0.70−95.81 wt.%As)was prepared by electrodeposition in As(III)and Sb(III)contained electrolytes.The influence of electrolyte composition,hydrochloric acid concentration,and temperature on the composition and structure of AsSb deposits was studied.The electroreduction mechanism of As(III)and Sb(III)in hydrochloric acid solution was revealed via thermodynamic analysis.The results show that the increase of H+concentration promotes the reduction of As(III),while the increase of Cl^(−)concentration significantly inhibits the reduction of Sb(III).As a result,the As content in deposits increases gradually with the increase of hydrochloric acid concentration.Simultaneously,the phase structure of AsSb deposits evolves from crystalline to amorphous.When the As content is 24.55−33.75 wt.%,AsSb mixed crystal is obtained.The electrolysis temperature has little effect on the deposits composition,but the structure of deposits evolves from crystalline to amorphous with decreasing the temperature.展开更多

Despite its established broad spectrum effect on lipid profle and the associated re-duction in cardiovascular morbidity and mortality, the mechanisms by which NA achieves its benefcial effects remain elusive. Regarding the NA-associated reduction in triglyceride and low density lipoprotein cholesterol levels, data are controversial. The prevailing view which suggested that NA inhibits lipolysis and decreases free fatty acid (FFA) release both via activation of adipose tissue G-protein receptor-109A (GPR109A) and via inhibition of hepatic triglyceride synthesis is currently debated by the observation that the initially decreased FFA levels rebound during long-term NA treatment even though the benefcial NA effects on lipid metabo-lism are preserved, while other mechanisms involving modulation of transcription and translation pathways are emerging. In addition, NA has been demonstrated to affect high density lipoprotein (HDL) particles remod-eling in a number of ways, including reducing choles-terol ester transfer protein levels and activity, increas-ing apolipoprotein A-I levels, eliminating HDL hepatic uptake, increasing cholesterol efflux via ATP-binding cassette A1, inhibiting hepatic lipase, thereby overall in-creasing the plasma residence time of HDL and apoA-I with retention of cholesterol esters in HDL. The studied parameters were: water content, pH, free acidity (FA), electrical conductivity (EC), ash content, hydroxymethylfurfuraldehyde (HMF), proline content, specific rotatory power and color. Most of the measured parameters had showed values in the range of the international standards, with a particular richness in proline and ash content. Chemometrics-based approach reveals that the discriminated groups were Citrus, Ziziphus and forest even with over represented groups like Eucalyptus. Principle component analysis (PCA) enabled to extract three principal components explaining nearly 65% of total variance, PCj and PC2 were related to botanical origin whereas PC3 to honey age. Analysis of variance showed that the studied variables were almost different depending on botanical, geographical origin and season. The current study also shows the presence of diverse honey varieties in Algeria. The collected data will contribute to the creation of products with protected geographical or/and botanical origins.展开更多

A systematic study of the synthesis of C.I.Acid Blue 9 leuco compound in water is reported.The kinetic analysis of experimental data for the condensation reaction between 2-formylbenzenesulfonic acid sodium and N-ethy...A systematic study of the synthesis of C.I.Acid Blue 9 leuco compound in water is reported.The kinetic analysis of experimental data for the condensation reaction between 2-formylbenzenesulfonic acid sodium and N-ethyl-N-(3'-sulfonic acid benzyl) aniline obtained at four different temperatures ranging between 85 and 100°C is discussed.It is shown that the reaction followed second-order rate kinetics.The overall rate constant(k) increased with the increase of temperature.On the basis of the value of k,activation energy(E_a) of the reaction was evaluated.Importantly,it is found that reactant concentration has great effect on the formation of C.I.Acid Blue 9 leuco compound,implying that it is not enough to improve the conversion of N-ethyl-N-(3'-sulfonic acid benzyl) aniline by only prolonging reaction time in the late period of the reaction.展开更多

The sites suffer from weathering noted as honeycomb, exfoliation and discoloration with white salt efflorescence at some parts. These are diagnostic features for salt weathering as confirmed by the laboratory investigations using thin section analysis. The salt is found to be from three sources, namely, water spray, chemical alteration of the mortar's carbonate content into sulfate salts by acid rain, and wet deposition of air pollutants on the surface of the stones ruins. The cracks noted in the structures of this archeological building are the results of landslides in this area. Knowledge of the archeological sites material examined can be greatly enhanced by understanding the process in their formation of degradation. This paper aims to describe the use of thin sections/micromorphology in the archeological sites. Analysis data of physical sitting, geology, geomorphology, and climate have been done to determine the main nature of hazards in this sites. Dynamic processing problems are existing along Alexandria coast including beach erosion, pollution and manmade. Thin section analysis is used to determine the factor in increasing the hazard level.展开更多

Using Rattus norvegicus CD36 gene probe to hybridize analysis of CD36 difference expression in the Microtus fortis liver tissues which were infected with Schistosorna japonicum before and after being infected. At the same time, the cDNA sequence and encoded amino acid sequence of the Rattus norvegicus CD36 gene and CD36 protein structural domains were analysized by using bioinformatics. The results showed that the CD36 expression levels in the liver tissue of Microtus fortis after being infected were significantly higher than before being infectied. The Rattus norvegicus CD36 cDNA sequence of a total length is 1625 bp and encoded 472 amino acid residues and Rattus norvegicus CD36 protein containing a CD36 superfamily domain.展开更多

Edible insect's traditional cultural food, commonly consumed in rural communities, now intake is also being incorporated in some countries. Grasshoppers comprise proteins, the building blocks of AA (amino acids), that are one of the five classes of complex biomolecules found in cells and tissues that play an important role in human metabolism and nutrition. This research was conducted to determine proximal composition of Sphenarium purpurascens Ch, grasshoppers, focused on proteins and AA. Sampling was performed during autumn, 2013, in Oaxaca State. Dry raw adult insects were ground and proceeded to macro molecules proximal analysis, protein by Kjeldahl AOAC (Association of Official Analytical Chemists) method and essential AA in a Beckman 6300 equipment. Obtained data were: total proteins 71.56%; lipids 8.14%; minerals 3.52%; fiber 7.48%; soluble carbohydrates 9.30%. Essential AA (mg/16 g-N): isoleucine 4.5; leucine 8.1; lysine 5.4; methionine + cysteine 5.1; phenylalanine + tyrosine 8.5; threonine 3.5; tryptophan 0.6; valine 5.5. Sphenarium purpurascens Ch, Grasshoppers represent a good source of proteins and essential AA that can grow almost everywhere, available mostly all year round and affordable to all social groups, thus being a good option to improve human health.展开更多

Phage classification is based on morphology and for this reason, even though it is considered an old technique, TEM (Transmission Electron Microscopy) still plays a key role in their characterization. In the present work, the authors focused on TEM analysis of phage ФApr-1 isolated against Lactococcuslactis (L. lactis), implicated in industrial fermentations and of phage ФIZSAM-1, active against Listeria monocytogenes (L. monocytogenes), isolated from the environment. For observation with TEM (EM 900T-Zeiss), phages were harvested in liquid media and were negative stained with fosfotungstic acid 2‰. An accurate viral ultrastructure analysis by using TEM is fundamental not only in the first approach of characterization of newly isolated phages but also for providing useful information to go further to the selection process as potential bio-decontaminants.展开更多

Structural analyses reveal that complexes Ia and 2a belong to the space group C2/c, exhibiting three-dimensional (3D) frame- works. Complexes 1-6 with P2t/c space group were prepared in the presence of excessive ammonium acetate, giving rise to interesting 3D frameworks different from those of la and 2a. Magnetic property studies of 4-6 reveal the weak antiferromag- netic interaction exists between adjacent Gd3+ in 4. The complex 6 displays rather rare slow magnetization relaxation behavior in 3D frameworks.展开更多

In this study, a new set of primers targeting the narG gene was designed and applied to semi-nested polymerase chain reaction-denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (PCR-DGGE) assay. The potential of the new primers was verified on DNA directly extracted from soils from five different experimental sites distributed in Central and Southern Italy. Specificity of the primers was determined by excision, amplification, and sequencing of bands resolved by DGGE. A phylogenetic analysis showed the correlation between the sequences retrieved from the soils studied and the narG sequences from βand y-Proteobacteria. These primers expanded the existing molecular tools for ecological study on the size and diversity of nitrate-reducing bacterial community in soil.展开更多

During February and September, 20 samples of the raw camel's milk were taken starting from different livestock of camels from three different Sahariennes regions (Bechar, EI-Bayadh and Naama). These 20 collected samples were analyzed by physico-chemical and microbiological methods. The results of physicochemical analyze obtained from two hot and cold seasons are respectively the following: T ~C (35.83 and 33.95), pH (6.36 and 6.49), density (1.031 and 1.032), dornic acidity (18.6 and 18.3 ~D), dry matter (93.4 and 144.8 g/L), fat contents (30 and 52.1 g/L), total protein (26.3 and 33.1 g/L) and ashes (7.46 and 8.66 g/L). The protein profile obtained by electrophoretic analysis (SDS-PAGE) showed that camel milk contains several types of proteins and some have a molecular weight identical to major proteins of the cow's milk. The final results showed that camel milk has generally a comparable composition to that of bovine milk. The microbiological analysis, of these samples, detected a significant number of the total microflora, Staphylococcus aureus and total coliforms. The absence of Clostridium and fecal coliforms was observed. Several species of lactic acid bacteria were detected such as Lactococcus lactis subsp, lactis, Lactococcus lactis subsp, lactis biovar, diacetylactis, Weissella cibaria and Enteroccocusfeacalis.
文摘Objective: To screen and evaluate the active constituents of Chinese medicinal herbs as potent inhibitors of Cdc25phosphatase. Methods: The affinity chromatography purified glutashione-S-transferase/Cdc25A phosphatase fusion protein and Cdc2/cyclin B from the extracts of starfish M phase oocytes are used as the cell cycle-specific targets for screening the antimitotic constituents. We tested 9 extracts isolated from the Chinese medicinal herbs and vegetables including the agents currently used in cancer treatment by measuring the inhibition of Cdc25A phosphatase and Cdc2 kinase activity. The antitumor activity of the extracts was also evaluated by MTT (3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide) assay and flow cytometry.Results: Cdc25A inhibitory activity and antitumor activity are detected in the extracts isolated from three Chinese medicinal herbs Agrimonapilosa; Herba solani lyrati; Galla chinesis. Conclusion: We found three extracts isolated from Chinese medicinal herbs have potential inhibitory activity of Cdc25 phosphatase using a highly specific mechanism-based screen assay for antimitotic drug discovery.

文摘NiFe(oxy)hydroxides nanosheets were synthesized on nickel foams via co-precipitation and electrochemical activation. It is found that the phosphate precursors(Na_(3)PO_(4), Na_(2)HPO_(4)and NaH_(2)PO_(4)) have diverse effects on the morphology and thus the oxygen evolution reaction activity of the formed final catalysts. The resulting NiFe(oxy)hydroxides nanosheets prepared with Na_(2)HPO_(4)demonstrate a low overpotential of 205 m V to achieve a current density of 50 mA/cm^(2) with a Tafel slope down to 30 mV/dec in 1 mol/L KOH, and remain stable for 20 h during stability test.

文摘AIM:To perform a meta-analysis of observational studies to further elucidate the relationship between oral bisphosphonate use and gastrointestinal cancer risk.METHODS:Systematic literature search was conducted in MEDLINE,EMBASE,and the Cochrane Library to identify studies through January 2011.Search terms were "bisphosphonates" or trade names of the drugs,and "observational studies" or "cohort studies" or "case-control studies".Two evaluators reviewed and selected articles on the basis of predetermined selection criteria as followed:(1) observational studies(casecontrol or cohort studies) on bisphosphonate use;(2) with at least 2 years of follow-up;and(3) reported data on the incidence of cancer diagnosis.The DerSimonian and Laird random effects model were used to calculate the pooled relative risk(RR) with 95% confidence interval(CI).Two-by-two contingency table was used to calculate the outcomes not suitable for meta-analysis.Subgroup meta-analyses were conducted for the type of cancer(esophageal,gastric and colorectal cancers).Sensitivity analyses were performed to examine the effect sizes when only studies with long-term follow-up(mean 5 years;subgroup 3 years) were included.RESULTS:Of 740 screened articles,3 cohort studies and 3 case-control studies were included in the analyses.At first,4 cohort studies and 3 case-control studies were selected for the analyses but one cohort study was excluded because the cancer outcomes were not categorized by type of gastrointestinal cancer.More than 124 686 subjects participated in the 3 cohort studies.The mean follow-up time in all of the cohort studies combined was approximately 3.88 years.The 3 casecontrol studies reported 3070 esophageal cancer cases and 15 417 controls,2018 gastric cancer cases and 10 007 controls,and 11 574 colorectal cancer cases and 53 955 controls.The percentage of study participants who used bisphosphonate was 2.8% among the cases and 2.9% among the controls.The meta-analysis of all the studies found no significant association between bisphosphonate use and gastrointestinal cancer.Also no statistically significant association was found in a meta-analysis of long-term follow-up studies.There was no negative association between bisphosphonate use and the incidence of esophageal cancer in the overall analysis(RR 0.96,95% CI:0.65-1.42,I 2 = 52.8%,P = 0.076) and no statistically significant association with long-term follow-up(RR 1.74,95% CI:0.97-3.10,I 2 = 58.8%,P = 0.119).No negative association was found in the studies reporting the risk of gastric cancer(RR 0.89,95% CI:0.71-1.13,I 2 = 0.0%,P = 0.472).In case of colorectal cancer,there was no association between colorectal cancer and bisphosphonate use(RR 0.62,95% CI:0.30-1.29,I 2 = 88.0%,P = 0.004) and also in the analysis with long-term follow-up(RR 0.61,95% CI:0.28-1.35,I 2 = 84.6%,P = 0.011).CONCLUSION:Oral bisphosphonate use had no significant effect on gastrointestinal cancer risk.However,this finding should be validated in randomized controlled trials with long-term follow-up.

文摘AsSb alloy(0.70−95.81 wt.%As)was prepared by electrodeposition in As(III)and Sb(III)contained electrolytes.The influence of electrolyte composition,hydrochloric acid concentration,and temperature on the composition and structure of AsSb deposits was studied.The electroreduction mechanism of As(III)and Sb(III)in hydrochloric acid solution was revealed via thermodynamic analysis.The results show that the increase of H+concentration promotes the reduction of As(III),while the increase of Cl^(−)concentration significantly inhibits the reduction of Sb(III).As a result,the As content in deposits increases gradually with the increase of hydrochloric acid concentration.Simultaneously,the phase structure of AsSb deposits evolves from crystalline to amorphous.When the As content is 24.55−33.75 wt.%,AsSb mixed crystal is obtained.The electrolysis temperature has little effect on the deposits composition,but the structure of deposits evolves from crystalline to amorphous with decreasing the temperature.
文摘Nicotinic acid (NA) comprises the oldest hypolipidemic drug, in use since 1955. Despite its established broad spectrum effect on lipid profle and the associated re-duction in cardiovascular morbidity and mortality, the mechanisms by which NA achieves its benefcial effects remain elusive. Regarding the NA-associated reduction in triglyceride and low density lipoprotein cholesterol levels, data are controversial. The prevailing view which suggested that NA inhibits lipolysis and decreases free fatty acid (FFA) release both via activation of adipose tissue G-protein receptor-109A (GPR109A) and via inhibition of hepatic triglyceride synthesis is currently debated by the observation that the initially decreased FFA levels rebound during long-term NA treatment even though the benefcial NA effects on lipid metabo-lism are preserved, while other mechanisms involving modulation of transcription and translation pathways are emerging. In addition, NA has been demonstrated to affect high density lipoprotein (HDL) particles remod-eling in a number of ways, including reducing choles-terol ester transfer protein levels and activity, increas-ing apolipoprotein A-I levels, eliminating HDL hepatic uptake, increasing cholesterol efflux via ATP-binding cassette A1, inhibiting hepatic lipase, thereby overall in-creasing the plasma residence time of HDL and apoA-I with retention of cholesterol esters in HDL. Focus of this article is to present the mechanisms by which NA exerts its broad spectrum hypolipidemic actions.

文摘The bis(tributyltin) ester of succinic acid was synthesized by the reaction of disodium salt of succinic acid with tributyltin chloride in a molar ratio of 1:2. The crystal structure was determined by X-ray single-crystal diffraction. It belongs to orthorhombic with space group Pccn, a = 20.949(3), b = 17.470(3), c = 20.345(3) Angstrom, V = 7446(2) Angstrom(3), Z = 8, D-c = 1.242 g/cm(3), mu = 1.365 mm(-1), F(000) = 2864, R = 0.0544 and wR = 0.1417. The tin atom is of five-coordination in a trigonal bipyramidal structure by bridging two carboxylate groups in different directions and the resulting structure which contains straight twist large ring channels along the axes of a, b and c is a three-dimensional framework polymer containing two different tin atoms.
文摘Physicochemical characterization of 82 Algerian honeys, collected between 2005 and 2010, from different botanical and geographical origins were analyzed. The studied parameters were: water content, pH, free acidity (FA), electrical conductivity (EC), ash content, hydroxymethylfurfuraldehyde (HMF), proline content, specific rotatory power and color. Most of the measured parameters had showed values in the range of the international standards, with a particular richness in proline and ash content. Chemometrics-based approach reveals that the discriminated groups were Citrus, Ziziphus and forest even with over represented groups like Eucalyptus. Principle component analysis (PCA) enabled to extract three principal components explaining nearly 65% of total variance, PCj and PC2 were related to botanical origin whereas PC3 to honey age. Analysis of variance showed that the studied variables were almost different depending on botanical, geographical origin and season. The current study also shows the presence of diverse honey varieties in Algeria. The collected data will contribute to the creation of products with protected geographical or/and botanical origins.

文摘Two kinds of metal chelates of rare earth elements reacted with tribrimoarsenazo formed under the condition of critic acid were observed by simultaneous technique of capillary electrophoresisphotothermal interference spectrometry. The tendency of the conversion between these chelates as functions of the mole ratio of the reagent and the metal, pH value and the elapsing time was investigated. Kinetic equation of competitive chelating reaction between the TBA-La (Ⅲ) and La (Ⅲ) -critic acid were established. It was found that the competitive chelating reaction follows secondorder kinetics, for this second-order reaction, k=5.55 L·mol-1·S-1.

文摘A systematic study of the synthesis of C.I.Acid Blue 9 leuco compound in water is reported.The kinetic analysis of experimental data for the condensation reaction between 2-formylbenzenesulfonic acid sodium and N-ethyl-N-(3'-sulfonic acid benzyl) aniline obtained at four different temperatures ranging between 85 and 100°C is discussed.It is shown that the reaction followed second-order rate kinetics.The overall rate constant(k) increased with the increase of temperature.On the basis of the value of k,activation energy(E_a) of the reaction was evaluated.Importantly,it is found that reactant concentration has great effect on the formation of C.I.Acid Blue 9 leuco compound,implying that it is not enough to improve the conversion of N-ethyl-N-(3'-sulfonic acid benzyl) aniline by only prolonging reaction time in the late period of the reaction.
文摘Maria sites are important historical sites, backing to the Byzantine period. The sites suffer from weathering noted as honeycomb, exfoliation and discoloration with white salt efflorescence at some parts. These are diagnostic features for salt weathering as confirmed by the laboratory investigations using thin section analysis. The salt is found to be from three sources, namely, water spray, chemical alteration of the mortar's carbonate content into sulfate salts by acid rain, and wet deposition of air pollutants on the surface of the stones ruins. The cracks noted in the structures of this archeological building are the results of landslides in this area. Knowledge of the archeological sites material examined can be greatly enhanced by understanding the process in their formation of degradation. This paper aims to describe the use of thin sections/micromorphology in the archeological sites. Analysis data of physical sitting, geology, geomorphology, and climate have been done to determine the main nature of hazards in this sites. Dynamic processing problems are existing along Alexandria coast including beach erosion, pollution and manmade. Thin section analysis is used to determine the factor in increasing the hazard level.
文摘The total RNA was extracted from Microtusfortis liver tissue which before being infected and after being infected 10 d and 15 d by the Schistosoma japonicum cercariae. Using Rattus norvegicus CD36 gene probe to hybridize analysis of CD36 difference expression in the Microtus fortis liver tissues which were infected with Schistosorna japonicum before and after being infected. At the same time, the cDNA sequence and encoded amino acid sequence of the Rattus norvegicus CD36 gene and CD36 protein structural domains were analysized by using bioinformatics. The results showed that the CD36 expression levels in the liver tissue of Microtus fortis after being infected were significantly higher than before being infectied. The Rattus norvegicus CD36 cDNA sequence of a total length is 1625 bp and encoded 472 amino acid residues and Rattus norvegicus CD36 protein containing a CD36 superfamily domain.
文摘Protein malnutrition is quite common worldwide; its deficiency has adverse effects in all organs. Edible insect's traditional cultural food, commonly consumed in rural communities, now intake is also being incorporated in some countries. Grasshoppers comprise proteins, the building blocks of AA (amino acids), that are one of the five classes of complex biomolecules found in cells and tissues that play an important role in human metabolism and nutrition. This research was conducted to determine proximal composition of Sphenarium purpurascens Ch, grasshoppers, focused on proteins and AA. Sampling was performed during autumn, 2013, in Oaxaca State. Dry raw adult insects were ground and proceeded to macro molecules proximal analysis, protein by Kjeldahl AOAC (Association of Official Analytical Chemists) method and essential AA in a Beckman 6300 equipment. Obtained data were: total proteins 71.56%; lipids 8.14%; minerals 3.52%; fiber 7.48%; soluble carbohydrates 9.30%. Essential AA (mg/16 g-N): isoleucine 4.5; leucine 8.1; lysine 5.4; methionine + cysteine 5.1; phenylalanine + tyrosine 8.5; threonine 3.5; tryptophan 0.6; valine 5.5. Sphenarium purpurascens Ch, Grasshoppers represent a good source of proteins and essential AA that can grow almost everywhere, available mostly all year round and affordable to all social groups, thus being a good option to improve human health.
文摘Bacteriophages or more commonly "phages" are bacterial viruses. They are ubiquitous and good indicators of bacterial contaminations since their prevalence is high in those environments where their hosts are abundant. Phage classification is based on morphology and for this reason, even though it is considered an old technique, TEM (Transmission Electron Microscopy) still plays a key role in their characterization. In the present work, the authors focused on TEM analysis of phage ФApr-1 isolated against Lactococcuslactis (L. lactis), implicated in industrial fermentations and of phage ФIZSAM-1, active against Listeria monocytogenes (L. monocytogenes), isolated from the environment. For observation with TEM (EM 900T-Zeiss), phages were harvested in liquid media and were negative stained with fosfotungstic acid 2‰. An accurate viral ultrastructure analysis by using TEM is fundamental not only in the first approach of characterization of newly isolated phages but also for providing useful information to go further to the selection process as potential bio-decontaminants.

文摘Eight novel lanthanide complexes: {Ln(TDA)I.5(H20)2 },, (Ln = Pr(la), Nd(2a)) and { Ln(TDA)(Ac)(H2O)}n (Ln = Pr(1), Nd(2) Eu(3), Gd(4), Tb(5), Dy(6); TDA = Thiophene-2,5-dicarboxylic acid anion) have been constructed by hydrothermal reaction. Structural analyses reveal that complexes Ia and 2a belong to the space group C2/c, exhibiting three-dimensional (3D) frame- works. Complexes 1-6 with P2t/c space group were prepared in the presence of excessive ammonium acetate, giving rise to interesting 3D frameworks different from those of la and 2a. Magnetic property studies of 4-6 reveal the weak antiferromag- netic interaction exists between adjacent Gd3+ in 4. The complex 6 displays rather rare slow magnetization relaxation behavior in 3D frameworks.

文摘The narG gene is frequently used as a molecular marker for bacterial nitrate-reducing community analysis. In this study, a new set of primers targeting the narG gene was designed and applied to semi-nested polymerase chain reaction-denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (PCR-DGGE) assay. The potential of the new primers was verified on DNA directly extracted from soils from five different experimental sites distributed in Central and Southern Italy. Specificity of the primers was determined by excision, amplification, and sequencing of bands resolved by DGGE. A phylogenetic analysis showed the correlation between the sequences retrieved from the soils studied and the narG sequences from βand y-Proteobacteria. These primers expanded the existing molecular tools for ecological study on the size and diversity of nitrate-reducing bacterial community in soil.
