ZH strain of pigeon A/PMV- lwas used to infect 9 - 11 day old chicken embryoes for the preparation of allantoic fluid antigen and to immunize Pigeons to PrePare PoSitive serum. 50 allantoic fluids and 55 sera were examined by HA and HI both with formaldehyde red cell and fresh chicken red cell. It was shown that results obtuined with the two red cells were basically the same and formaldehyde red cell is more convenient to use and hence can replace fresh chicken red cell in conducting HA and HI for the detection of pigeon poramyxovirus type l and other展开更多
