Within the tradition of the sociology of public action, the study proposes a deepening of the institutional and cognitive analysis of public policies. From the comparison, two distinct models of public action emerge: The first model that implemented by the Emilia Romagna Region, appears more procedural and more founded on the involvement of institutions present in the territory (employment centres, universities, chambers of commerce, professional bodies), whilst the second model, implemented by the Sicily Region, seems founded mainly on the emphasis placed on the economistic definition of the policy. From the study, most of all, the processes through which the distinct regional public actions succeed in interpreting the innovative potential of the Youth Guarantee Plan and the relations existing between the effectiveness of the policies and the collective meanings that institutions and individuals assign to them, emerge.展开更多

Nitrites levels in all analyzed samples were below of the detection limit (〈 0.9 mg/kg) of applied spectrophotometric method with Griess reagent. Nitrates contents in commercial products ranged: 9.1-38.1 mg/kg while in homemade baby foods levels between 26.6 mg/kg and 118.8 mg/kg were obtained. All the contents of nitrates were lower than the EU legislation maximum limit (200 mg/kg). Comparison of each type of commercial product with its homemade counterpart baby food evidenced significant differences (p 〈 0.05) in average nitrates levels in favor of the first type. Apart from determining and comparing the levels of nitrates in the baby food samples also risk assessment for an average 6-months old infant to nitrates exposure was conducted. The estimated nitrates intake with a typical portion of 200g of baby food ranged between 6% and 25.7% of acceptable daily intake for commercial and from 18.0% to 80.3% for homemade ones.展开更多

But the civic roles of these patients associations, in health care settings, remain largely unexplored, especially in the case of patients assuming oral anticoagulant therapy (OAT Patients) for various chronic and severe diseases (stroke, chronic arthritis, maintenance or substitution of cardiac valves). This is a qualitative study, on a Civic Health Organization, the Italian Association of Anti Coagulant Patients (Associazione ltaliana Pazienti Anticolagulati, hereinafter A.I.P.A.) which promotes the rights of OAT patients. The study was carried out in the south of Italy at Cosenza's Hospital. Cosenza is a city in the north of Calabria, a poor Southern Italian region. The research, done between March 2010 and December 2012, involved focus groups, key-informant interviews with volunteers from the local A.I.P.A. unit and the hospital professionals (physicians, nurses, managers) of Cosenza's Annunziata Hospital. This essay mainly analyzes a micro-form of co-deliberative health care democracy: a stable partnership between AIPA members and the cited hospital professionals, based on a mix of advocacy, planning, and co-delivery service roles. In doing this, the paper sketches the development, aims, activities, internal structure and resources, and the role played by this specific citizen-user/patient/career organization in promoting and/or representing the interests of anti-coagulated patients within the legal arena of the Italian health policy. Finally, the paper comes to the point in which OAT patients refer their perceptions of relational rights.展开更多

The results showed, UFA (Unsaturated Fatty Acid) and SFA (Saturated Fatty Acid) were 74/09 and 21/63%, respectively in fresh tissue. So that, DHA (C22:6) oleic acid (C 18:1c) had high amounts (15/07, 20/57) UFA and palmitic acid (C16:0) was the most (13/09%) SFA. The effects of freezing on fish tissue showed that UFA and SFA contents have reached to 58/79 and 22/17%, respectively at the end of cold storage. Also ω-3 and ω-6 series of fatty acids was 24/22 and 15/56% in fresh tissue, but their contents decreased to 8/68 and 5/11% at the end of period. Among, the fatty acids C22:6, C 18:1 c and C 16:0 had the most changes. The changes of fatty acids were significantly at 95% level expected for C18:0.展开更多

Since the designation of Noto as Globaly Important Agricultural Heritage Systems (GIAHS) in 2011, there have been active developments of conservation and revitalization efforts amongst the local gov-ernments, and communities, as well as pouring interest from the academia, international community and private sector. The paper wil discuss the developments of Noto’s GIAHS through examining several case studies of recent conservation and revitalization efforts of new initiatives and those building on existing schemes. The report wil be based on literature reviews, interviews with and information provided by Ishikawa Prefectural Government and ifeld surveys conducted. It is found that modest but steady steps are being taken in conservation of GIAHS and Noto is taking an active role contributing to the GIAHS initiative.展开更多
