First, we propose the interfer- ence constraint which ensures that the Quality of Service (QoS) standards for primary users is considered and a non-cooperative game power control model. Based on the proposed model, we developed a logical utility function based on the Signal-to-Interference-Noise Ratio (S/NR) and a novel algorithm network power control. that is suitable for CR Then, the existence and uniqueness of the Nash Equilibrium (NE) in our utility function are proved by the principle of game theory and the corresponding optimi- zations. Compared to traditional algorithms, the proposed one could converge to an NE in 3-5 iterative operations by setting an appropriate pricing factor. Finally, simulation results ver- ified the stability and superiority of the novel algorithm in flat-fading channel environments.展开更多

The Pb2+ content was determined by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry. When the flowrate increased from 0.12 to 0.34 ml·min-1 , the column exhibited a marked increase in percentage of lead removal from 54.9% to 92.3%. Further increase in the flowrate did not bring evident changes to the lead removal, whereas an increase in the temperature could reinforce adsorption further, suggesting that the adsorption process was controlled by external film diffusion below the flowrate of 0.34 ml·min-1 , and by the intraparticle pore diffusion of lead ions when the flowrate exceeded it. A low remaining lead amount in extracts such as 0.11 mg·kg-1 (extracts powder) was achieved. The adsorbents also adsorbed effective constituents to some extent. But 88% of constituents adsorbed were taken off using a 70% ethanol aqueous solution.展开更多

Qingyou 10 had high BEC as well as high seed yield at low available soil B. On the contrary, Bakow produced low seed yield at low B status. Boron deficiency decreased the seed yield of the F2:3 lines to different extents and the distribution of BEC of the population showed a bimodal pattern. When the 657 F2:3 lines were grouped into B-efficient lines and B-inefficient lines according to their BEC, the ratio of B-efficient lines to B-inefficient lines fitted the expected ratio (3:1), indicating that one major gene controlled the B-efficiency trait. 127 F2:3 lines selected from the population at random, with distribution of BEC similar to that of the overall population, were used to identify the target region for fine mapping of the boron efficiency gene.展开更多

The energy efficiency and spectral efficiency are two key performance evaluation metrics for wireless communication networks. In this paper, the fundamental tradeoff between energy efficiency and area spectral efficiency of WBSNs is first investigated under the Poisson point process(PPP) model and Matern hard-core point process(HCPP) model using stochastic geometry. The circuit power consumption is taken into consideration in energy efficiency calculation. The tradeoff judgement coefficient is developed and is shown to serve as a promising complementary measure. In addition, this paper proposes a new nearest neighbour distance power control strategy to improve energy efficiency. We show that there exists an optimal transmit power highly dependant on the density of WBSNs and the nearest neighbour distance. Some important properties are also addressed in the analysis of coexisting WBSNs based on the IEEE 802.15.4 standard, such as the impact of intensity nodes distribution, optimal guard zone, and outage probability. Simulation results show that the proposed power control design can reduce the outage probability and enhance energy efficiency. Energy efficiency and area spectral efficiency of the HCPP model are better than those of the PPP model. In addition, the optimal density of WBSNs coexistence is obtained.展开更多

In this letter, using molecular dynamics simulations, we demonstrate that a partially clamped singlelayer graphene can serve as a thermal modulator. The mismatch in phonon dispersion between the unclamped and clamped graphene sections results in phonon interface scattering, and the strength of interface scattering is tunable by controlling the clamp-graphene distance via applying the external pressure. Owing to the ultra-thin structure of graphene and its highly sensitive phonon dispersion to external physical interaction, the modulation efficiency--which is defined as the ratio of the highest to lowest heat flux-can reach as high as 150% at a moderate pressure of 50 GPa. This modulation efficiency can be further enhanced by arranging a number of clamps in series along the direction of the heat flux.展开更多

However, the evaluation is not straightforward because there is natural rainfall variability, which subjects the atmosphere to spatiotemporal instabilities. The aim of this study is to analyze natural rainfall variability using the modern statistical simulation method, "bootstrap", to analyze its influence on the evaluation of seeding activities and to take proper measures to control the influence. The study is based on the 1997?2007 airborne seeding macro records and the daily precipitation data in Jilin Province. The influence of natural rainfall variability can be reduced through three approaches: the increase of the supposed "seeded" sample size N, the rejection of outliers, and the selection of similar control units. A larger N leads to smaller calculated precipitation variability and detectable lower limits of seeding effects. When N is near 470 and the seeding effect is between 20% and 30%, the confidence level reaches 90%. For a single seeding operation, the case deletion model that rejects strong influence points and selects similar control units is established to control the influence of natural precipitation variability, which obviously improves the evaluation of artificial precipitation enhancement. The results demonstrate that the relative seeding effect in Jilin Province is concentrated mainly in the range of 0 to 30%, with an average of 11.95%, and has no significant linear relationship with the actual precipitation amount. However, the fluctuation amplitude of the relative effect decreases as the precipitation amount rises.展开更多

The QDks exhibit pyramidal shape with special facets and varied dimensions, depending on the GaAs pyramidal buffer and the amount of InGaAs deposited. The formation of QDks is explained by the overgrowth of an InGaAs layer and thereafter coalescence of small InGaAs islands. Photoluminescence (PL) characteristics of ensemble QDks and exciton features of individual QDks together demonstrate that we may achieve a transition from zero-dimensional (0D) to two-dimensional (2D) quantum structure with increasing QDk size. This transition provides the flexibility to continuously tailor the dimensionality and subsequently the quantum confinement of semiconductor nanostructures via site-controlled self-assembled epitaxy for device applications based on single quantum structures.展开更多

For thatpurpose boundary layer can be modified by perforated plates with holes of specific sizes. The questions whichrise in such configuration are related to the existence of optimal size of the holes and the influence of microscalephenomena on the global flow patterns. This paper concentrates on the issue of the entrance effects on the microchannelflow. It is shown that mass flow rate is only insignificantly influenced by slip effects. Global parameterssuch as pressure difference and geometrical shape in more pronounced way alter flow behavior. In this paper weconcentrate on the numerical investigation of the microchannel flow for Kn < 0.01 and Re < 500. The channellength is finite.
