Taguchi method was used for the experimental design in order to study the combined effects of the four parameters on the properties of as-deposited diamond films. A new figure-of-merit (FOM) was defined to assess their comprehensive performance. It is clarified thatt,φandp all have significant and complicated effects on the performance of the diamond film and the FOM, which also present some differences as compared with the previous studies on CVD diamond films growth on plane or external surfaces. Aiming to deposit HFCVD diamond films with the best comprehensive performance, the key deposition parameters were finally optimized as:t=830 °C,φ=4.5%,p=4000 Pa,F=800 mL/min.展开更多
Cubic boron nitride particles coated by titanium nitride (TiN/cBN) as well as diamond particles coated by titanium carbide (TiC/diamond) were prepared by Ti molten salt deposition followed by heat-treatment process. c...Cubic boron nitride particles coated by titanium nitride (TiN/cBN) as well as diamond particles coated by titanium carbide (TiC/diamond) were prepared by Ti molten salt deposition followed by heat-treatment process. cBN or diamond particles were mixed separately with Ti powders and molten salts (KCl, NaCl and K<sub>2</sub>TiF<sub>6</sub>). The mixture was heated at 900 °C under argon atmosphere. The produced particles were heat-treated under hydrogen at 1000 °C. The morphologies and chemical compositions of the produced particles were investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and focused ion beam (FIB). The results show that the cBN and the diamond particles are coated by nano-sized Ti layers. By heat-treatment of the Ti/cBN and TiC/diamond coated particles under hydrogen atmosphere, the deposited Ti layers were interacted by the in-situ transformation reaction with the surfaces of cBN and diamond particles and converted to titanium compounds (TiN and TiC), respectively.展开更多

On the one hand, the results of selective flotation show that 22% and 31.1%of total Sb a...In this work, different flotation–preoxidation–cyanidation methods are considered for treating a lowgrade refractory gold ore. On the one hand, the results of selective flotation show that 22% and 31.1%of total Sb and As, respectively, remained in the final tailings and only about 28% of the total Au remained for further cyanidation processes. On the other hand, in bulk method of flotation the maximum Au recovery of 90.6% achieved after 60 min of flotation at the grind size with K80 of 146 micron. In addition, the bulk flotation method resulted in the concentrate with low concentrations of Sb and As elements. To improve the recovery of low-grade refractory gold ores, flotation should be followed by roasting, biological, or pressure oxidation processes so that the gold could be liberated prior to cyanidation processes. It is also found that the pressure oxidation pre-treatment of the concentrates prior to cyanidation may yield high gold recoveries of over than 83%. In these processes, recoveries are controlled by the temperature and the oxygen partial pressure in the solvent. However, by utilizing the bio-oxidation technique, the oxidation of sulfur to sulfate cannot be completed and, consequently, the gold recovery may be limited to only 72.2%.展开更多

Graded cemented carbides were formed by carburizing pretreatment to reduce the cobalt content in the surface layer and improve adhesion of diamond coating. The numerical calculation results show that the surface compressive stress of diamond coating is 950 MPa for graded substrate and l 250 MPa for homogenous substrate, the thermal residual stress decreases by around 24% due to diamond coating. Carburizing pretreatment is good for diamond nucleation rate, and can increase the interface strength between diamond coating and substrate.展开更多

Symmetry analysis of the vibrational modes of bct C4 at Brillouin zone center is performed, Raman and infrared active modes are identified. The analysis results show that, different from cubic diamond and hexagonal diamond, there is an infrared active mode in bct C4. Based on first-principle method within the local density approximation, vibrational frequencies, Born effective charge tensors, and infrared absorption intensity of bct C4 are obtained. The coatings were deposited on ductile cast iron samples of different composition by electroless method EFTTOM NICKEL with addition of strengthening nanodiamond particles (2-4 nm), The samples were prepared by casting and austempering. The microstructure, microhardness and wear resistance of the coatings were investigated. The thickness of the coatings was also determined (8-10μm). Metallographic analyses, SEM (scanning electron microscopic) investigation, microhardness measurements by knoop method, wear resistance tests were carried out. The coatings with and without heat treatment at 290℃, 6 h were tested. Duplication of microhardness value and improvement of the coating's properties of heat treated coatings were observed.展开更多

The influence of the preparation methods, the active constituent forerunners, the vanadium content an...The M/USY/Al2O3/kaolinite sulfur reduction additive systems containing vanadium were prepared by different methods. The influence of the preparation methods, the active constituent forerunners, the vanadium content and the type of molecular sieves on sulfur reduction of fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) gasoline were studied by a small fixed bed. The results showed that when FCC catalyst was blended with the sulfur reduction additives prepared by the special method at the ratio of 95:5, the relative sulfur reduction rate reached 35% and there was little influence on distribution of the products and quality of the gasoline. The XRD analysis indicated that the Y molecular sieve crystal structure in the additives prepared by the specific method retained integrity.展开更多
