Therefore, it is a significant challenge to reproduce the language style and quintessence of the original work in literary translation, which often leads to problems of literal and obscure translation or translation divorced from the deep meaning of the original text. The Golden Cangue wrote and translated by Eileen Chang involves a large number of expressions with Chinese characteristics by adopting both domesticating translation and foreignizing translation. The article from the perspective of domestication and foreignization, analyzes the translation and effects of The Golden Cangue to study how to properly use domestication and foreignization in literary translation, to strengthen the readability of translated texts and achieve the purpose of cross-cultural communication to the maximum.展开更多
