Recently, novel hypoglycemic agents, specifically sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors, have emerged as potential therapeutics that not only alleviate volume overload but also reduce the risk of cardiovascular mortality and hospitalization. Additionally, these agents exhibit promising effects in improving cardiac structure and function, as well as reversing pathological cardiac remodeling. This article aims to comprehensively review the progress made in investigating the therapeutic benefits of SGLT2 inhibitors in ameliorating cardiac remodeling.展开更多
