新型铁基碳化钨防钻板微观结构特征

分别制备铁基铸造碳化钨和铁基球形碳化钨防钻板,通过金相、组织观察分析,构建铸造碳化钨和球形碳化钨在堆焊熔池中溶解生长机制,比较两种结构的微观结构特征;结果表明:铸造碳化钨颗粒在进入熔池后将会沉入熔池底部,组织为奥氏体+碳化... 分别制备铁基铸造碳化钨和铁基球形碳化钨防钻板,通过金相、组织观察分析,构建铸造碳化钨和球形碳化钨在堆焊熔池中溶解生长机制,比较两种结构的微观结构特征;结果表明:铸造碳化钨颗粒在进入熔池后将会沉入熔池底部,组织为奥氏体+碳化物与鱼骨状莱氏体,焊缝表面无碳化钨存在,其溶解为完全溶解机制,降低致密性;球形碳化钨防钻板中碳化钨颗粒尺寸均匀,并均匀分布,堆焊组织为共晶奥氏体为主,M_7C_3型碳化物分布在晶间位置,其溶解为部分溶解机制,致密度保持不变。在防钻板生产中应优先选择球形碳化钨。 展开更多

Directional hydraulic fracturing technology is expected to become a safe and effective way to control and manage hard roof. In order to make hard roof fracture in a directional way, a hydraulic fracture field test has been conducted in the third panel district of Tashan Coal Mine in Datong. First, two hydraulic fracturing drilling holes and four observing drilling holes were arranged in the roof, followed by a wedge-shaped ring slot in each hydraulic fracturing drilling hole. The hydraulic fracturing holes were then sealed and, hydraulic fracturing was conducted. The results show that the hard roof is fractured directionally by the hydraulic fracturing function of the two fracturing drilling holes; the sudden drop, or the overall downward trend of hydraulic pressure from hydraulic monitoring is the proof that the rock in the hard roof has been fractured. The required hydraulic pressure to fracture the hard roof in Tashan coal mine, consisting of carboniferous sandstone layer, is 50.09 MPa, and the fracturing radius of a single drilling hole is not less than 10.5 m. The wedge-shaped ring slot made in the bottom of the hydraulic fracturing drilling hole plays a guiding role for crack propagation. After the hydraulic fracturing drill hole is cracked, the propagation of the resulting hydraulic crack, affected mainly by the regional stress field, will turn to other directions. 展开更多

Fletcher & Company was tasked to design and manufactu... In underground mining, machine design is predominantly dictated by mine conditions and individual customer desires. In partnership with Foresight Energy, J. H. Fletcher & Company was tasked to design and manufacture a new roof bolting machine with six independent drilling apparatus on board capable of drilling and bolting the roof and ribs with material handling. The objective was to produce a machine capable of drilling and installing six bolts simultaneously with a limited number of operators. The goal of the mine is to decrease the time to bolt a cut to improve the safety level of the current roof bolting method, improve efficiency and to improve the bottom line cost of entry development. The customer wanted four drills at the front of the machine dedicated to installing roof bolts and then another two drills behind them dedicated to rib bolts. This dictated the requirement of latched controls, which would allow the operator to start drilling one hole and then latch the controls to be able to move on to the next.The result of the design is a machine with a single platform and six independent masts with drillheads:four masts strictly for drilling and installing roof bolts on the front of the platform and two masts on the back of the platform for rib bolts. The controls at each operator's station include a latch control for drilling. The six-head roof bolter allows fewer operators to drill and install roof and rib bolts, which in turn lowers the miners' roof exposure per cut. This design reduces the operator's exposure from the inherent pinch points and rotary hazards once he has engaged the latch drilling. Therefore, the machine will help to decrease the time to bolt a cut, improving productivity while enhancing the ability to operate the machine safely. 展开更多

Effects of Direct Drilling on Soil Trafficability: Exploratory Results

When applying conservation agriculture based on DD (direct drilling), soil is rarely disturbed by machinery, but is often subject to vehicle pressure that is frequent and intense. Soil compaction could be deeply modified, and DD can improve soil sustainability during rainy seasons. The technique of cone penetration resistance is still the easiest and most direct way to charaeterise soil compaction distribution of soils. Then measurements of cone penetration resistance were conducted on two typical agricultural soil zones in Tunisia. At the experimental site, soils were submitted to DD during different durations in the context of the conservative agriculture in order to investigate the evolution of compaction measured by a cone penetrometer during different time periods and to describe the trafficability of the tested soils. The results showed that (1) soil compaction increased with time application (years) of DD; (2) soil compaction was affected by soil depth and (3) DD improved the uniformity of soil compaction distribution within soil profile. Consequently, DD seems to improve trafficability of agriculture soils, which makes an easy access to a field during rainy times. 展开更多

Dust generated from bolt hole drilling in roof bolting operation could have high quartz content. As a dust control measure, vacuum drilling is employed on most of the roof bolters in US underground mines. However, fine rock partic- ulates from drilling could escape from the dust collection system and become airborne under some circumstances causing the roof bolter operators expose to quartz-rich respirable dust. A previous research shows that drilling can be controlled through properly selected penetration and rotational rates to reduce the specific energy of drilling. Less specific energy means less energy is wasted on generating noise, heat and over-breakage of rock. It implies that proper control of drilling has a great potential to generate significantly less fine rock dust during drilling. The drilling experiments have been conducted to study the effect of controlling drilling on reducing respirable dust. The preliminary results show that the size distributions of respirable dust were different when controlling drilling in different bite depths. Based on the principle of turned mass damper(TMD) systems,the conceptual design of semi-submersible platform with a moveable heave-plate(MHS) has been put forward.The heave motion response amplitude operator(RAO) and viscous damping of the MHS platform are calculated by iteration,and the coupling stiffness between the MHS hull and the heave-plate is optimized to decrease the maximum heave motion response of the MHS hull under 10-year survival conditions in the South China Sea.The nu-merical results indicate that the heave motion RAO of the MHS hull can be decreased in the range of predominant wave frequencies,which may provide some reference to the heave motion control of offshore platforms. 展开更多
