The anode, or the cathode, or both, comprises graphite, preferably synthetic crystalline graphite, which supplies the nucleating additive to the cast iron alloy. The inoculation allows modifying the base metallographic structure, being able to affect the shape, size as well as the distribution of graphite in the metal matrix. Furthermore, the invention also describes an inoculation device to realise the inoculation procedure. The inoculation device comprises (i) a transferred arc plasma torch and (ii) a pouring distributor in which the plasma torch is arranged in the pouring distributor located before the line of molds.展开更多
