The effect of nickel oxide additive on the smelting behaviors of chromium-bearing vanadium titanomagnetite pellets(CVTP)was investigated while analyzing the transfer behavior of nickel in iron and slag.The results show that when NiO added to CVTP increases from 0 to 6 wt.%,softening start temperature increases from 1148 to 1212℃,and the softening end temperature increases from 1280 to 1334℃;the melting start temperature increases from 1318 to 1377℃,and the dripping temperature decreases from 1558 to 1521℃.The pig iron comprises a compound of Fe-Ni-C.The slag structure depolymerizes with increasing nickel addition.The softening-melting behaviors of CVTP,the reduction of nickel into pig iron,and the depolymerization of slag structure indicate the feasibility of producing nickel-iron alloy through the blast furnace process. 展开更多

The full-potential linearized augmented plane wave (FPLAPW) method with the generalized gradient approximations (GGA) is applied to study the compound [Cu(NTTmPy)<SUB>2</SUB>(N<SUB>3</SUB>)<SUB>2</SUB>]<SUB>n</SUB> (NITmPy = 2 - (3' - Pyridy1) -4, 4, 5, 5 - tetramethylimidazolin - 1 - oxy1 - 3 - oxide). The total density of states (DOS) and the partial density of states (pDOS) are calculated to explain the electronic and the magnetic properties of [Cu(NTTmPy)<SUB>2</SUB>(N<SUB>3</SUB>)<SUB>2</SUB>]<SUB>n</SUB>. It is found that [Cu(NTTmPy)<SUB>2</SUB>(N<SUB>3</SUB>)<SUB>2</SUB>]<SUB>n</SUB> is stable in the ferromagnetic state and the magnetic moment of the molecule mainly comes from the Cu atoms (0.518 μ<SUB>B</SUB>) with partial contribution from N, O atoms of nitronyl nitroxide radicals. There exist orbital hybridization between 3d orbital of Cu and p orbitals of N(1) (from pyridyl rings of the NITmPy ligands) and N(4) (from azido group) and the weak direct exchange interactions between Cu and O atoms of nitronyl nitroxides. In addition, the bridging carbon atom (C(6)) carries a significant negative spin density (-0.019 μ<SUB>B</SUB>). The sign alternation of the magnetic moment along zthe pyridyl ring is obtained, which agrees with experiments. 展开更多

Since neodymium magnet possesses an extremely strong magnetic field, resulting from the combination of neodymium, iron and boron, it has become the most used in designing autonomous sumo robots. When it is mounted under the structure of this robot, the magnet produces a large amount of normal force resulting from the interaction between its field lines and the steel frame of the arena, reducing the risk of slipping its wheels. Thus, the heavier a robot, the greater the difficulty for the opponent to remove it from the arena. This article explains the properties of Nd-Fe-Br magnets and analyzes the influence of these characteristics in the relation induction/weight. Additionally, to a comparative analysis, this research analyzes the positioning, geometry and polarization of the magnets under study, based on numerical results obtained using Inventor and K & J Magnets Calculator software, given that these factors influence in their energetic product generation. Furthermore, more than just working with what we believe is a subject of great interest for sumo robot's teams, this study encourages their competitiveness, an essential factor for the competition. 展开更多

Three new metal organic frameworks,[Mn^(Ⅲ)_(4)Mn^(Ⅱ)_(8)O_(2)(4-thmpy)_(4)(O_(2)CPh)_(10)(OMe)_(2)(H_(2)O)_(2)]·3CH_(3)OH·4H_(2)O(1),[Mn^(Ⅱ)_(4)Co^(Ⅱ)_(6)O(4-thmpy)_(4)(O_(2)CPh)_(6)(H_(2)O)_(4)]·CH_(3)OH·3H_(2)O(2),and[Mn^(Ⅱ)_(4)Ni^(Ⅱ)_(6)O(4-thmpy)_(4)(O_(2)CPh)_(6)(H_(2)O)_(4)]·2CH_(3)OH·2H_(2)O(3),have been successfully synthesized by using 4-[tri-(hydroxymethyl)methyl]pyridine(4-thmpyH_(3))as ligand.Crystal structure analyses show that compound 1 is a disk-like twelve nuclear[Mn^(Ⅲ)_(4)Mn^(Ⅱ)_(8)]0D cluster.Compounds 2 and 3 are isomorphic,and the decanuclear heteronuclear cluster[Mn^(Ⅱ)_(4)Co^(Ⅱ)_(6)]node in compound 2 can be seen as a hyper-tetrahedron of four coboundary cubic alkanes[Mn^(Ⅱ)Co^(Ⅱ)_(3)O_(4)],then each ten-nuclear heteronuclear cluster[Mn^(Ⅱ)_(4)Co^(Ⅱ)_(6)]is connected by six 4-thmpy^(3-)with six adjacent decanuclear clusters[Mn^(Ⅱ)_(4)Co^(Ⅱ)_(6)],forming the NaCl-type 3D topological structure.Magnetic studies showed that there exist antiferromagnetic interactions between metal ions in 1-3. 展开更多
