[Method]Two field experiments adopted the optimum com- pound design (311-A) were conducted in Long'an County of Guangxi Province in 2011 and 2012, respectively. The polynomial regression models of fertilizer applica- tion and quadratic of three factors were established by SAS statistical analysis soft- ware, and optimum nutrient simulation models of potato were obtained by computer processing. [Result] The combined application of low nitrogen and mid-high potassi- um and phosphorus fertilizer contributed to higher potato yield in experimental condi- tion. The regression model of potato yield (Yll and Y12) and dosage of N(X1), P (X2), K(X3) were established by using SAS statistical analysis software, in 2011 and 2012, respectively. They were Y11 =14 725.28 -415.39X1 +741.99X2 +607.83)(3-447.92X1X2- 144.09X1X3 -405.83X2X3 -267.82X1^2-795.67X2^2 -642.10X3^2, R =0.927 2; and Y12 =14 342.60 -896.25X1 +548.62X2 +925.51 X3 +67.81 X1X2 +531.60X1X3 -99.00X2X3 -904.00X1^2 - 1121.36X2^2-596.64X3^2,R=0.926 6. The regression mathematics model of potato yields preferably fit with actual situation in the locality, and have higher practical value, so it could be used for fertilizer decision and forecast. Using the computer to carry on the optimization, the N, P and K dosage of the best potato yield intercropped with sugarcane was obtained. The dosage of N, P2O5, K2O were 108.8-140.6, 172.5-204.4 and 285.9 kg/hm2, respectively. [Conclusion] The best N, P and K ratio of potato yield intercropped with sugarcane was 1:(1.23-1.68):(2.03-2.63).展开更多

In Kenya, potato tuber yield losses due to BW infection are estimated at 50 ~ 100%. Low soil fertility is also one of the most important constraints limiting potato production in central Kenya highlands. Farmers tackle this problem through use of inorganic fertilisers and organic manures, both of which amend the soil environment to influence bacterial wilt development. Undecomposed organic manures can also introduce the pathogen into a clean field. Between short rains 1999 and 2000, 10 on-farm extension-researcher- farmer-designed and farmer-managed trials were done at Kianjuki catchment in Embu District. The objective was to use farmers?participatory research approach and select the most suitable organic and inorganic fertiliser combination(s) with lowest BWI and acceptable usable tuber yields, and also to demonstrate use of some components of integrated disease management methods in reduction of disease incidence and spread. Seven treatments were proposed, presented to the farmers for discussion and the most relevant four were selected for evaluation. A newly released potato variety 慉sante?was planted during the short rains 1999 and long rains 2000. BWI didn抰 result in significant differences between treatments but the tuber yields were significantly different in short rains of 1999 and 2000. During short rains 2000, both BWI and tuber yields and unusable tubers differed significantly between treatments. The results confirmed that well- decomposed manures or manures from pathogen-free areas can be used in combination with inorganic fertilisers to improve soil fertility and potato tuber yields in smallholder farms without influencing BWI. Use of certified seed tubers in pathogen free field and following recommended field sanitation measures resulted in apparently bacterial wilt free crop. Considering the high cost of inorganic fertiliser and its negative effects on the environment, reduced usage at half the recommended rates combined with half rates of FYM is feasible option friendly to the farmer, soil and environment. The interviewed farmers also ranked the option as the most appropriate combination for soil fertility improvement for potato production in smallholder farms.展开更多

The results showed that N, P and K were deficient in both soils, Cu, Mn, S andZn in the gray-brown purple soils and Ca, Mg, Mo and Zn for the yellow soils. Balanced fertilizer application increased yields of corn, sweet potato and wheat by 28.4%, 28.7% and 4.4%, respectively, as compared to the local farmers' practice. The systematic approach can be considered as one of the most efficient and reliable methods in fertility study.展开更多

Yield response to irrigation of different crops is of major importance in production planning where water resources are limited. This study aims to determine the effect of different irrigation treatment (deficit irrigation) and potassium humate fertilizer on yield, content of nitrogen, potassium, and phosphor in tuber of potato and water use efficiency in the Abu-Graib Region, Iraq. Potato was grown under drip irrigation with three treatments: irrigation applied when evaporation 75%, 100% and 125% from pan A, and three potassium humate fertilizers: 0, 1.2 and 2.4 kg/ha with three times additions. The seasonal potato evapotranspiration ranged from 267 mm to 372 mm. The drip irrigation treatment had significant effecting tuber yield of potato recorder 29,530, 27,630 and 24,880 kg/ha for 125%, 100% and 75% from pan A evapotranspiration, respectively. Humus fertilizers addition has the lowest value of ETa 309 mm and maximum value of yield 2,930 kg/ha. Water use efficiency (WUE) and irrigation water use efficiency (IWUE) values increased with increasing humus fertilizers, recording 9.92, 14.52, 8.59, 12.42 and 7.51, 10.70 kg/m3 for potassium humate K3 (2.4 kg/ha), K2 (1.2 kg/ha) and KI (0.0 kg/ha), respectively. Plants irrigated with 125% from class pans A evaporation, produced a significant increase in N, P and K content in tubers recorder 0.96%, 0.58% and 1.52%, respectively. Potassium humus-fertilizer significant differences among K1, K2 and K3 on high of plants reached 41.52, 50.08 and 56.39 cm, respectively, number of stems/plant 2.69, 3.22 and 3.78, respectively, leaves area index recorder 2.80, 3.35 and 3.73.展开更多
