一、寻找隐藏的铁 把铁钉装在像火柴盒那样小的盒里,用磁铁碰一下看看。盒本身虽然不受磁铁吸引,可是盒里的铁钉却能被吸引。从而盒就被吸引起来了(见图1)。也就是说普通不被磁铁吸引的东西,若能被磁铁吸引,就可以认为在其里面含有铁。

Herein, novel plasmonic Bi metal in situ deposited in reduced Ti O2 microspheres(Bi@R-Ti O2) are fabricated via a bimetallic MOF-derived synthesized strategy by adjusting the synthesizing temperature. Different characterization techniques, including XRD, SEM, TEM, XPS, DRS, PL, EIS, and photocurrent generation, are performed to investigate the structural and optical properties of the as-prepared samples. The results indicate that the Bi particles are generated inside and outside of reduced Ti O2 microspheres via the reduction of Ti4+ and Bi3+ by ethylene glycol. When the annealing temperature is controlled at 300 o C, the corresponding Bi@R-Ti O2-300 sample with an appropriate amount of Bi nanoparticles exhibits the highest full solar spectrum photocatalytic oxygen evolution activity(4728.709 μmol h–1 g–1), which is 5.9 and 9.5 times higher than that of pure Ti O2 and Bi-Ti bimetal organic frameworks(Bi-Ti-MOFs). Several reasons are suggested for the above results:(1) Bi metal behaves as an "electron acceptor" to accelerate the charge carrier transfer from Ti O2 to Bi;(2) The surface plasmon resonance effect of loaded metallic Bi particles can enhance the visible and NIR light absorption capacity;(3) The generation of Ti3+ further narrows the band gap of TiO2. 展开更多

Effect of soft Bi particles on grain refinement during severe plastic deformation

Two aluminum alloys,Al-8Zn and Al-6Bi-8Zn were subjected to equal channel angular pressing(ECAP)up to5passes at room temperature.The microstructural evolution and the grain refinement behavior of these alloys were systematically studied by electron backscatter diffraction(EBSD).After5passes of ECAP,ultrafine grained microstructures formed in both alloys.However,the grain structure in the Al-6Bi-8Zn alloy is much finer than that of Al-8Zn alloy,showing that the soft Bi particles have a strong influence on enhancing the grain refinement during ECAP.The strengths of the ECAP-processed materials were measured by hardness test and it showed that after5passes of ECAP,the hardness of the Al-6Bi-8Zn alloy was higher than that of the Al-8Zn alloy.The effects of soft Bi particles on the deformation behavior during ECAP and the final strength of the Al-6Bi-8Zn alloy were discussed. 展开更多

This study investigates the photodegradation of the organic dye rhodamine B by Ag‐nanoparticlecontaining BiVO4catalysts under different irradiation conditions.The catalysts consist of Ag nanoparticles deposited on oxygen‐vacancy‐containing BiVO4.The morphology of the BiVO4is olive shaped,and it has a uniform size distribution.The BiVO4possesses a high oxygen vacancy density,and the resulting Ag nanoparticle‐BiVO4catalyst exhibits higher photocatalytic activity than BiVO4.The RhB degradation by the Ag nanoparticle‐BiVO4catalyst is99%after100min of simulated solar irradiation.BiVO4containing oxygen vacancies as a rationally designed support extends the catalyst response into the near‐infrared region,and facilitates the trapping and transfer of plasmonic hot electrons.The enhanced photocatalytic efficiency is attributed to charge transfer from the BiVO4to Ag nanoparticles,and surface plasmon resonance of the Ag nanoparticles.These insights into electron‐hole separation and charge transfer may arouse interest in solar‐driven wastewater treatment and water splitting.?2018,Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics,Chinese Academy of Sciences.Published by Elsevier B.V.All rights reserved. 展开更多
