The mechanism of the process was studied by SEM and EDS. The reduction process was divided into three stages:0≤ηt/ηf≤0.43±0.06, 0.43±0.06≤ηt/ηf≤0.9±0.02 and 0.9±0.02≤ηt/ηf<1, whereηt andηf are the reduction ratio at time t and the final reduction ratio obtained in the experiment at temperature T, respectively. The first stage included the direct reaction between calcined dolomite or calcined magnesite and Al with 12CaO·7Al2O3 and MgO·Al2O3 as products. The reaction rate depended on the chemical reaction. The CA phase was mainly produced in the second stage and the overall reaction rate was determined by both the diffusion of Ca2+ with molten Al and the chemical reaction. The CA2 phase was mainly produced in the third stage and the reaction process was controlled by the diffusion of Ca2+.展开更多

An isothermal reduction method satisfying the vacuum aluminothermic reduction was proposed. The experiments were carried out at 4 Pa. The results indicate that the reduction rate is increased with increasing temperature, content of aluminum and pellet forming pressure. The XRD patterns of pellets at different reduction stages confirm that the reduction process can be roughly classified into three stages:the formation of MgAl2O4, and Ca12Al14O33 phases;the phase transformation from MgAl2O4 and C12A7 to CaAl2O4;the formation of CaAl4O7 phase. The experimental data were divided into three parts according to the kinetic models. The apparent activation energies of the three parts were determined to be 98.2, 133.0 and 223.3 kJ/mol, respectively.展开更多

[Method] The vaccine (0.2 ml) containing aluminum phosphate adjuvant (90 μg), pcDNA/F (200μg), and pcDNA/chlL-18 (200 μg) was prepared. The 7 d old chick- ens to be tested were randomly divided into six groups (12 chickens in each group) and immunized through intramuscular injection with inactivated Newcastle disease vaccines, pcDNA/F+pcDNA/chlL-18+phosphate aluminum, pcDNA/F, pcDNA/F.+pcDNA/ chlL-18, pcDNA/F+aluminum phosphate, and physiological saline respectively; the secondary immunization was conducted with the same dose when the chickens were 21 d old. Their blood was sampled 0, 7, 14, 21, 28 d after first immunization. Anti- body titer was detected with ELISA and T cell transformation rate was measured with MIT. Experimental chicken will be challenged with 30 LD50 NDV virulence 28 d after first immunization. [Result] The survival rate of the chickens immunized with pcDNA/F+aluminium phosphate+pcDNA/chlL-18 achieved 8/12, higher than that of those immunized with pcDNA/F 4/12 and pcDNA/F+pcDNA/chlL-18 (6/12). The NDV antibody titer of the chickens immunized with pcDNA/F+ aluminum phosphate, pcD- NA/F+pcDNA/chlL-18 and pcDNA/F+pcDNA/chlL-18+aluminum phosphate is not differ- ent (P〉0.05), but significantly lower than that of the chickens immunized with tradi- tional vaccine (P〈0.05). The T cell transformation rate of the chickens immunized with pcDNA/F+pcDNA/chlL-18+aluminium phosphate was obviously higher than that of the chickens immunized with pcDNA/F (P〈0.05). The T cell transformation rates of chickens immunized with pcDNA/F and the traditional vaccine showed no signifi- cant difference (P〉0.05). [Conclusion] Combination of aluminium phosphate and pcD- NA/chlL-18 can significantly enhance the immune effect of NDV F gene vaccine.展开更多

[BMIM]Br-AlCl3 was used to investigate the effect on deacidification of oil. Experimental results showed that at a temperature of 323K with a molar ratio of AlCl3 to [BM1M]Br-AlCl3 of 0.2, and a mass ratio of IL to white oil of 4%, the deacidification rate could reach 75.9%. And a reaction time of 4 h was sufficient to achieve the goal. The study on reproducibility of catalytic performance of [BMIM]Br-AlCl3 showed the possibility of using the ionic liquid in the continuous catalytic reaction.展开更多

In the buffer solution of 0.5 mol/L CH3COOH-CH3COONa (pH=5.0), the sensor responds to AI^3+ in a linear range from 1.00×10^-5 to 1.00x10-^2 mol/L. A near-Nernstian response was obtained and the regression equation was E (mv) = -161.4-26.54 Ig [AI^3+] with a detection limit of 7.90x10^-6 mol/L. More than 14 different ions as the considered interferences were tested and the relevant selectivity coefficients were determined using the separate solution method (SSM). The sensor possesses many advantages including short conditioning time, fast response, and, especially, very good selectivity over a wide variety of other co-existing ions. The sample analysis on the aluminium migration amount from aluminium utensils to the solution was determined by this sensor. The analytical results were agreed with that of inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectroscopy(ICP-RES).展开更多

Epidemiologic studies have shown a potential linkage between chronic Al exposure and Alzheimer’s disease. The present study aims to evaluate the effects of tetrahydroxy stilbene glucoside (TSG), the extract from herbal medicine Polygoni Multiflori, on cognitive impairment and the over-expression of hippocampal amyloid precursor protein (APP) induced by chronic exposure to Al in rats. Methods Rats were treated with 0.3% aluminum chloride (AlCl3) prepared in the drinking water for 90 d. AlCl3-treated animals were then randomly assigned to receive vehicle, TSG (4 g/kg), or Vitamin E (VE; 40 mg/kg) treatment for 5 months. VE served as a positive control. The effect of TSG was evaluated by passive avoidance task, and APP expression was evaluated by Western blotting. Results Following exposure to AlCl3 for 90 d, animals displayed a striking decrease (〉80%) in step-through latency in the passive avoidance task and a significant increase in the expression of APP in the hippocampus. Both TSG and VE significantly ameliorated the performance impairment in the passive avoidance task, and suppressed the over-expression of APP. Moreover, the effects of TSG, but not of VE, were in a time-dependent manner. Conclusion TSG may possess therapeutic effects against Alzheimer’s disease.展开更多

However, the effect of Sb on the growth and response of crops are not well known and to date, there is still no Sb limit standard for Allitic Udic Ferrisols in China. In this study, a greenhouse experiment was carried out to investigate the effect of antimony(Sb) on biomass, physiological performances, and macro- and micronutrient element concentrations of green Chinese cabbage(Brassica chinensis L.), as well as enzyme activities,in Allitic Udic Ferrisols from Hunan Province, China. Antimony was supplied at rates of 0(control), 2, 5, 10, 20, and 50 mg kg-1and thus with the background value of 1.0 mg kg-1, the Sb concentrations in the treated soil samples were 1, 3, 6, 11 21, and 51 mg kg-1, respectively. The results showed the leaf biomass and ascorbic acid content of cabbage significantly(P < 0.05) decreased by 30.6% and 48.3%, respectively, and soil urease and dehydrogenase activities also significantly(P < 0.05) decreased by 33.6%and 32.5%, respectively, when soil Sb concentration was 21 mg kg-1as compared with the control. The uptake of essential nutrient elements such as Mg, Cu, and Zn by cabbage was obviously affected, while the leaf soluble sugar content slightly changed when the soil Sb concentration exceeded 21 mg kg-1. Based on cabbage physiological responses and soil enzyme activities, the permissible concentration of 21 mg kg-1for Sb in Allitic Udic Ferrisols should be recommended.展开更多
