本文将氢化钛镍合金材料应用于强流长脉冲(200 A/270μs)真空弧放电实验中,该材料能在强流长脉冲真空弧放电产生的高温条件下保持较好的稳定性。使用飞行时间谱仪获得了氢化钛镍合金阴极真空弧放电产生的离子电荷态分布和离子成分。结... 本文将氢化钛镍合金材料应用于强流长脉冲(200 A/270μs)真空弧放电实验中,该材料能在强流长脉冲真空弧放电产生的高温条件下保持较好的稳定性。使用飞行时间谱仪获得了氢化钛镍合金阴极真空弧放电产生的离子电荷态分布和离子成分。结果表明:Tin+和Nin+电荷态为1+、2+和3+,在放电过程的早期(0~30μs),H+成分随时间逐渐增加,在30μs时达到最大比例57%,而Tin+和Nin+(n=1,2,3)离子成分随时间逐渐减少,在30μs时达到最小比例43%;在放电过程的后期(30~270μs),H+成分迅速下降且在75μs后保持在总离子流的12%左右直至放电结束,Tin+和Nin+(n=1,2,3)含量随时间逐步增加,且在75μs后保持在总离子流的88%左右直至放电结束。 展开更多

Titania films with nano-sized pores were prepared on the NaOH?HCl pretreated NiTi alloy substrate by sol?gel method.A crack-free film is obtained for the sample with a dense inner layer and a porous outside layer(sample TC1+1).The X-ray diffraction shows that the titania films are composed of anatase,and a little Ni4Ti3 phase in the heat treated substrate is also detected.The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy results indicate that the titania film completely covered the NiTi substrate for sample TC1+1.The sample TC1+1 is hydrophilic with a contact angle about 20°,and UV illumination treatment for 15 min further decreases the contact angle to(9.2±3.2)°.The potentiodynamic polarization test in 0.9% NaCl solution reveals a better corrosion resistance of sample TC1+1 than the polished NiTi sample. 展开更多

In order to reduce the friction coefficients and further improve the anti-wear properties of Ni-base alloy coatings reinforced by TiC particles,graphite/TiC/Ni-base alloy(GTN) coatings were prepared on the surface of 45 carbon steel.The effects of graphite content on the microstructure and tribological properties of the GTN coatings were investigated.The results show that the addition of graphite to the GTN coatings may greatly reduce the friction coefficients and improve their wear resistance.The 6.56GTN and 12.71GTN coatings exhibit excellent integrated properties of anti-friction and wear resistance under low and high loads,respectively.Under a low load,the wear mechanisms of the GTN coatings are mainly multi-plastic deformation with slight abrasive wear and gradually change into mixture of multi-plastic deformation,delamination and micro-cutting wear with the increase of graphite fraction.As the load increases,the main wear mechanisms gradually change from micro-cracks,micro-cutting and adhesive wear to micro-cutting and micro-fracture with the increase of graphite fraction. 展开更多

The recovery stress characteristics of a TiNi shape memory alloy wire under different constraint conditions were studied. The results show that the recovery stress rate (dσ/dT) in the second heating cycle increases significantly with the increasing constraining-spring coefficient in the first heating cycle. As a result, a distinct discontinuity appears on the recovery stress curves of the TiNi alloy wires in the second heating process. Also, the results of differential scanning calorimeter(DSC) measurements show that after the thermomechanical process, the heating curve of the TiNi alloy wire consists of two independent endothermic peaks. 展开更多

Solar-powered carbon dioxide (CO_2)-to-fuel conversion presents itself as an ideal solution for both CO_2 mit- igation and the rapidly growing world energy demand. In this work, the heating effect of light irradiation onto a bed of supported nickel (Ni) catalyst was utilized to facilitate CO_2 conversion. Ceria (CeO_2)-titania (TiO_2) oxide supports of different compositions were employed and their effects on photothermal CO_2 conver- sion examined, Two factors are shown to be crucial for instigating photothermal CO_2 methanation activity: ① Fine nickel deposits are required for both higher active catalyst area and greater light absorption capacity for the initial heating of the catalyst bed; and ② the presence of defect sites on the support are necessary to promote adsorption of C02 for its subsequent activation, Titania inclusion within the support plays a crucial role in maintaining the oxygen vacancy defect sites on the (titanium-doped) cerium oxide. The combination of elevated light absorption and stabilized reduced states for CO_2 adsorption subsequently invokes effective Dhotothermal CO_2 methanation when the ceria and titania are blended in the ideal ratio(s). 展开更多

The unique p-n type heterostructure not only promotes the separation and transfer of photogenerated charge carriers significantly, but also offers more active sites for photocatalytic hydrogen production. A magnetically separable photocatalyst TiO2/SiO2/NiFe2O4 (TSN) with a typical ferromagnetic hysteresis was prepared by a liquid catalytic phase transfer method. When the intensity of applied magnetic field weakened to zero, the remnant magnetism of the prepared photocatalyst faded to zero. The photocatalytst can be separated from water when an external magnetic field is added and redispersed into aqueous solution after the external magnetic field is eliminated, that makes the photocatalysts promising for wastewater treatment. Transmission electron microscope (TEM) and X-ray diffractometer (XRD) were used to characterize the structure of the photocatalyst indicating that the magnetic SiOffNiFe204 (SN) particle was compactly enveloped by P-25 titania and Tit2 shell was formed. The magnetic composite showed high photocatalytic activity for the degradation of methyl orange in water. A thin SiO2 layer between NiFe2O4 and TiO2 shell prevented effectively the leakage of charges from TiO2 particles to NiFe2O4, which gave rise to the increase in photocatalytic activity. Moreover, the experiment on recycled use of TSN demonstrated a good repeatability of the photocatalytic activity. 展开更多

The Ni-modified TiO2 was synthesized using two methods including co-precipitation(Ni doped TiO2, Ni-TiO2) and wet impregnation(Ni loaded TiO2, Ni/TiO2). The surface and bulk crystalline phases of Ni-modified TiO2 were investigated by using X-ray diffractometry(XRD), UV Raman spectroscopy, TEM, and SEM. It is observed that Ni doping can promote the phase transition and grain size growth of TiO2. Moreover, the propagation of the rutile phase from the bulk into the surface region of TiO2 is increased when the Ni doping amount reaches up to 3%. However, in Ni/TiO2, it is found out that the surface and bulk phase transformation of TiO2 can be inhibited after impregnation of 1% of Ni on the TiO2. Compared with the co-precipitation method, Ni species may be more enriched in the surface of the Ni/TiO2 sample upon adoption of the impregnation method, and the direct contact of anatase particles of TiO2 is avoided. As a consequence, the phase transition in the surface and bulk region of TiO2 can be effectively inhibited by Ni loading. Additionally, the activity of the photocatalytic degradation of RhB on the 3Ni-TiO2-600 ℃ sample is higher than that on the 3 Ni/TiO2-600 ℃ sample. The phase junction formed between anatase and rutile in the surface region of 3Ni-TiO2-600 ℃ may the main reason for its high photocatalytic activity. 展开更多

Feasible construction of cathode materials with highly dispersed active sites can extend the tri‐ple‐phase boundaries,and therefore leading to enhanced electrode kinetics for CO_(2) electrolysis in solid oxide electrolysis cell(SOEC).Herein,highly dispersed nickel species with low loading(1.0 wt%)were trapped within the La_(0.8)Sr_(0.2)FeO_(3)–δ‐Ce_(0.8)Sm_(0.2)O_(2)–δvia a facial mechanical milling ap‐proach,which demonstrated excellent CO_(2) electrolysis performance.The highly dispersed nickel species can significantly alter the electronic structures of the LSF‐SDC without affecting its porous network and facilitate oxygen vacancy formation,thus greatly promote the CO_(2) electrolysis perfor‐mance.The highest current density of 1.53 A·cm^(-2) could be achieved when operated under 800℃ at 1.6 V,which is about 91%higher than the LSF‐SDC counterpart. 展开更多

The microstructures of the brazed joints for commercially pure Ti and stainless steel were investigated by the applications of various filler alloys including Ag-, Ti-, Zr- and Ni-based alloys. Generally, the dissimilar joints between Ti and stainless steel were dominated by the Ti-based intermetallic compounds (IMCs), e.g. (Ti, Zr)2(Fe, Ni), TiFe, TiCu, and Ti2(Fe, Ni), due to a significant dissolution of Ti from the base metal. The (Fe-Cr) cr phase was also observed near the stainless steel due to a segregation of Cr into the interface region. This research demonstrates empirically that the brittleness of the Ti and stainless steel joint can not be avoided only by applying single braze alloy or single insert metal, and thus an introduction of additional suitable interlayer between the filler alloy and the base metal is necessary to prevent the brittleness of the joint. 展开更多

In this paper,the structural and magnetic properties of Ni metal implanted TiO 2 single crystals are discussed.Ni nanocrystals (NCs) have been formed in TiO 2 after ion implantation.Their crystalline sizes were increased with increasing post-annealing temperature.Metallic Ni NCs inside the TiO 2 matrix are stable up to an annealing temperature of 1073 K.The Ni NCs forming inside TiO 2 are the major contribution of the measured ferromagnetism. 展开更多
