Four multi-hole nozzle configurations with different opening ratios were assessed experimentally using high-speed photography and digital image processing. For these configurations, the experiments reveal that the bubble growth consists of a petal-like stage, an expansion stage and a detachment stage. The petal-like shape is qualitatively described through the captured images, while the non-spherical bubbles are analyzed by the aspect ratio. The bubble size at the detachment is quantified by the maximum caliper distance and the bubble equivalent diameter. Considering the dependence on the opening ratio, different prediction models for the ratio of maximum caliper distance to hydraulic diameter of the nozzle outlet and the dimensionless bubble diameter are established. The comparative analysis results show that the proposed prediction model can accurately predict the bubble detachment size under the condition of multi-hole nozzles.展开更多

The system is composed of 5 spherical lenses. The materials of lenses are silicon and germanium. The optical parameters and modulation transfer function (MTF) are investigated. The system has the diffraction limited image quality and stable image plane from -30 ℃ to 70 ℃. The characteristic parameters of the system are as follows:flnumber of 4, cold shield efficiency of 100%, spectrum region of 3.7-4.8 μm and transmissivity of 80%. The system has the merits of simple structure, low price, and it is easy to machining.展开更多
In the study cyanobacterial strains were isolated from different sites of Hizoop rivers, Koya-Iraq and identified according to their morphological characters by using microscope, two genera which were in filamentous f...In the study cyanobacterial strains were isolated from different sites of Hizoop rivers, Koya-Iraq and identified according to their morphological characters by using microscope, two genera which were in filamentous form identified as Chroococcus sp. and Lyngbya sp.. After identification of genera their optimum growth condition studied by using the effect of temperature and pH to their dry weight. In the result, the optimum temperature and pH for both filamentous cyanobacteria were 25 ℃ and pH 7.5. Both cyanobacterial strains were extracted with ethanol, methanol and diethyl ether at various concentrations (0.2 g/mL, 0.1 g/mL, 0.005 g/mL) which exhibited the antibacterial activities against Staphylococcus aureus, E. coli and B. subtilus. Inhibition activities of the two cyanobacterial extracts were more effective at high concentration against the tested pathogens at the low concentration, especially those ofLyngbya sp. The higher inhibition zone showed with extract by ethanol.展开更多
