Methods: The expressions of Hpa and CD222 in 95 bladder carcinoma specimens and 20 paraneoplastic bladder tissues(controls) were assessed using the immunohistochemical staining method. Results: The positive expression rates of Hpa and CD222 in bladder carcinoma were 68.42% and 61.05%, respectively. The positive rate of Hpa was significantly higher in the carcinoma specimens than in the control specimens(P < 0.01). Similarly, the Hpa expression in the invasive bladder carcinoma was significantly higher than that in the non-invasive bladder carcinoma(P < 0.01). A positive correlation was observed between the expressions of Hpa and CD222(P < 0.05). The expressions of Hpa and CD222 were significantly correlated with lymphatic invasion and TNM staging(P < 0.05). The 5-year survival rate was significantly higher in negative expression of the Hpa group than that in the positive expression group(P < 0.05). Compared with the non-co-positive expression group, the 5-year survival rate in the co-positive expression of Hpa and CD222 group was significantly lower(P < 0.05). Conclusion: High Hpa and CD222 expressions in tumor tissues were associated with the occurrence and development of bladder carcinoma. Our results provide helpful information for the further diagnosis and therapy of bladder carcinoma.展开更多

Recent studies have found that Fra-1 plays an important role on cell migration, invasion, and maintaining malignant phenotype of transformed cells. But there are few stud- ies about the expression and location of Fra-1 in breast tissues and cells being reported .This study just aims to discuss the expression and location of transcription factor Fra-1 in benign and malignant human breast tissues. Methods: The expression of Fra-1 was investigated by immunohistochemistry in neoplastic breast diseases ranging from benign fibroadenoma to very aggressive undifferentiated carcinoma. The correlations of Fra-1 expression with other indicators of breast carcinoma prog- nosis (ER, PR and ErbB2 receptors) were analyzed. Results: All neoplastic breast tissues, either benign or malignant breast tissues, were nuclear immunoreactive for Fra-l-recognizing antibody. In 85% of benign tumors (17/20), the immunoreactive for Fra-l-recognizing antibody as exclusively restricted to the nuclei. In three cases (3/20, 15%), focal unequivocal cytoplas- mic staining was also exhibited. Strong positive nuclear staining for Fra-1 was easily seen in all types of breast carcinomas. However the nucleaflcytoplasmic concomitant immunoreactivity was observed in all types of breast carcinomas. A clear shift in Fra-1 immunoreactivity, from an exclusively nuclear to a simultaneous nuclear and cytoplasmic localization was noticed in 90.2% (37/41) of breast carcinomas. No inverse relationship between Fra-1 and ER and PR protein levels was noticed in malignant tumors. The relative expression level of Fra-1 was not correlated with the expression of ErbB2. Conclusion: The overall expression, pattern and intensity of Fra-1 proteins were correlated with breast oncogenesis. Overexpression of Fra-1, leading to a persistent high cytoplasmic accumulation, may play a role in the process of breast carcinogenesis.展开更多

To reduce reflectivity, NaOH/KOH (sodium hydroxide/potassium hydroxide) and IPA (isopropyl alcohol) are widely used in standard alkaline texturization of mono c-Si (crystalline silicon) (〈100〉 crystal orientation) wafers, where IPA promotes formation of uniform pyramidal structure but leads to unstable process. In this work, carbohydrates have been investigated as an additive in etchant solution. Moreover uniform phosphorus diffusion process for B2B (back to back) diffusion (loading two wafers in one single slot of quartz boat) has been investigated with single and multiple temperature plateaus. Impact of pre-oxygen step on phosphorus diffusion is investigated in which number of inactive phosphorus at the PSG (phosphosilicate glass)-Si interface is reduced. A batch of 156 PSQ (pseudo square) mono c-Si solar cells with 18%-18.20% efficiency was fabricated which is -0.3% higher than the standard process. The EL (electroluminescence image), reff (carrier effective life time), Voc (open circuit voltage), Isc (short circuit current), Pvk (peak power) and r/ (efficiency) have been examined and compared with standard.展开更多

Methods: Arabbit model of heavy TBI was developed by high velocity impact on the parietal bone with an iron stick. Totally 8 healthy adult New Zealand white rabbits were randomly divided into control group (n=2) and injury group (n=6). Four hours after injury, tissue specimens from the parietal lobe, temporal lobe, occipital lobe, cerebellum and brainstem were harvested to detect the expression of Hsp70 and Caspase-3 by immunohistochemistry. Besides, the gray values of cells positive for HspT0 and Caspase-3 were analyzed with an image analyzer. Results: Immunohistochemistry staining demonstrated a low level of Caspase-3 and Hsp70 expression in normal control group. While in injury group, both the Caspase-3 and Hsp70 expression was significantly elevated (P〈0.05). Positive cells gathered around the lesion focus. Occipital lobe and cerebellum had fewer positive cells while temporal and brainstem had the fewest. Conclusion: The expression of Caspase-3 and HspT0 at an early stage following severe TBI is characteristic and can be applied to estimate the time of injury.展开更多

However, the mass...Direct formic acid fuel cells (DFAFCs) allow highly efficient low temperature conversion of chemical energy into electricity and are expected to play a vital role in our future sustainable society. However, the massive precious metal usage in current membrane electrode assembly (MEA) technology greatly inhibits their actual applications. Here we demonstrate a new type of anode constructed by confining highly active nanoengineered catalysts into an ultra-thin catalyst layer with thickness around 100 nm. Specifically, an atomic layer of platinum is first deposited onto nanoporous gold (NPG) leaf to achieve high utilization of Pt and easy accessibility of both reactants and electrons to active sites. These NPG-Pt core/shell nanostructures are further decorated by a sub-monolayer of Bi to create highly active reaction sites for formic acid electro-oxidation. Thus obtained layer-structured NPG-Pt-Bi thin films allow a dramatic decrease in Pt usage down to 3 ~tg.cm-2, while maintaining very high electrode activity and power performance at sufficiently low overall precious metal loading. Moreover, these electrode materials show superior durability during half-year test in actual DFAFCs, with remarkable resistance to common impurities in formic acid, which together imply their great potential in applications in actual devices.展开更多

文摘Objective: To investigate the expres- sion of Caspase-3 and Hsp70 in rabbits after severe trau- matic brain injury (TBI) and to explore the feasibility of its application in estimation of injury time in forensic medicine. Conclusion: The expression of Caspase-3 and HspT0 at an early stage following severe TBI is characteristic and can be applied to estimate the time of injury.
文摘Direct formic acid fuel cells (DFAFCs) allow highly efficient low temperature conversion of chemical energy into electricity and are expected to play a vital role in our future sustainable society. Moreover, these electrode materials show superior durability during half-year test in actual DFAFCs, with remarkable resistance to common impurities in formic acid, which together imply their great potential in applications in actual devices.
