Every year in China,a significant number of mines are closed or abandoned.The pumped hydroelectric storage(PHS)and geothermal utilization are vital means to efficiently repurpose resources in abandoned mine.In this work,the development potentials of the PHS and geothermal utilization systems were evaluated.Considering the geological conditions and meteorological data available of Jiahe abandoned mine,a simple evaluation model for PHS and geothermal utilization was established.The average efficiency of the PHS system exceeds 70%and the regulatable energy of a unit volume is over 1.53 kW·h/m^(3).The PHS system achieves optimal performance when the wind/solar power ratio reaches 0.6 and 0.3 in daily and year scale,respectively.In the geothermal utilization system,the outlet temperature and heat production are significantly affected by the injection flow rate.The heat production performance is more stable at lower rate flow,and the proportion of heat production is higher in the initial stage at greater flow rate.As the operating time increases,the proportion of heat production gradually decreases.The cyclic heat storage status has obvious advantages in heat generation and cooling.Furthermore,the energy-saving and emission reduction benefits of PHS and geothermal utilization systems were calculated. 展开更多

Dependence of film crystalline on substrate materials and substrate temperature is investigated. It is found that films exhibit higher crystallinity at substrate temperature higher than 400 ℃. And the CdTe films deposited on CdS films with higher crystallinity have bigger crystallite and higher uniformity. Treatment with CdCl 2 methanol solution promotes the crystallite growth of CdTe films during annealing. 展开更多

Comparison and Performance Analysis of Heat Storage Equipment in Solar Heating System

Heat storage equipment is the guarantee for steady performance of solar heating system. A design of latent heat storage exchanger with submerged coil was introduced with the structure, working principle, and the main advantages. This heat exchanger was integrated into solar heating system as the heat storage equipment. Advantage comparison of the designed heat exchanger in solar heating system with hot water tank was carried out. The analysis results show that the latent heat storage exchanger is superior to hot water tank obviously. The heat exchanger performance parameters and variations of these parameters are got: (1) with the increase of phase change material (PCM) volume ratio, heat storage equipment volume ratio decreases; (2) heat storage efficiency has the same varying tendency with outdoor and air temperature; while the bigger PCM volume ratio is, the weaker the effect of outdoor air temperature on heat storage efficiency is; (3) heat storage capacity and heat storage efficiency increase together; when PCM volume ratio is big, heat storage efficiency is high and the system can begin operating effcienfly and quickly; (4) with the increase of heat storage capacity, life cyde operation cost (LCOC) of system increases gradually in high speed; but with the increase of PCM volume ratio, the difference between the two systems LCOCs becomes smaller and smaller; (5) the reasonable range of PCM volume ratio is 0.5 - 0.7. Temperature characteristic analysis shows that, with the filled PCM, heat storage medium temperature presents several segments at different time, under conditions of different heat storage capacity and different PCM state. 展开更多

A novel tobacco-curing system with a solar-assisted heat pump was proposed.The proposed system has various advantages,such as reducing energy consumption and pollutant emissions and enhancing the stability of system operation.The thermal characteristics of the system under different climate conditions were analyzed,and the economic and environmental benefits of different tobacco-curing technologies were compared.Results indicated that the dehydration rate,the mass flux of exhaust air,and the heat load of the novel tobacco-curing system in different months had similar changes with the baking time,and all reached the maximum in the later stage of color fixing.Compared with the power saving rate of a heat pump tobacco-curing system,that of the novel system reached 25.9%-35.1%.The dry leaf curing cost of the novel system was only 0.86-1.06 yuan/kg,which can reduce the cost by more than 60%compared with traditional coal-burning tobacco-curing systems in China.Compared with other parts of the tobacco leaf,the top leaf had the lowest dry leaf curing cost due to its highest mass of dry leaf.The payback period and the annual CO_(2) emission reduction of the novel system were 3.0-3.7 a and 15586 kg,respectively. 展开更多

The seasonal heat storage tank is the most important component of the SDH (solar district heating) system, which allows significant increase in the share of solar energy in heat supply in comparison with conventional solar systems with short-term accumulation of heat. The adverse impact of their investment sophistication on competitiveness may be compensated by the increased use. For example: Cooperation with heat pump allows to increase the accumulation capacity of the seasonal heat storage tank and causes the direct use of heating energy and accumulation of cooling energy produced by heat pump. In the final stage of the heating period, it can be used to remote cooling supplied buildings. Experimentation on mathematical model is possible to obtain valuable insights about the dynamics of the processes of charging and discharging in the seasonal storage tank and subsequently used in the design, implementation and operation. 展开更多

This paper was designed to determine the performance of the R 141 b ejector includes analysis in economics. The first step is to determine the operating condition and ejector geometry through computer calculation program. That found at the generator temperature 84 ℃ and evaporator temperature 8 ℃, diameter of nozzle throat is 2 mm, diameter of nozzle exit is 8 mm, diameter of mixing chamber inlet is 25 mm, diameter of constant area section is 8 mm. Area of evacuated solar collector is 10 m2, thermal storage tank size is 0.33 m3, cold thermal storage size is 2.3 m3. The entrainment ratio and COP (coefficient of performance) of computer calculation program are 0.295 and 0.235, respectively. The second step ejector is fabricated and equipped to solar ejector refrigeration system, it is found that, average COP is 0.265. The economics analysis of solar ejector cooling system are invested in the investment cost was 158,158 baht. When calculating payback period was 7.73 years, the return value on a NPV (net present value) was 60,872.63 baht of lifetime of the system throughout a period of 15 years, and IRR (internal rate of return) is 13.57%. 展开更多
