By virtue of a 3∶1 complementary coordination strategy,a chiral heteroleptic metal-organic cage that con-tains divergent functional units,Pd‑R(Zn),was precisely constructed via self-assembly of monodentate variationa...By virtue of a 3∶1 complementary coordination strategy,a chiral heteroleptic metal-organic cage that con-tains divergent functional units,Pd‑R(Zn),was precisely constructed via self-assembly of monodentate variational Zn-salen ligands RZn and NADH(reduced nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide)mimic modified tridentate ligands with square-planar Pd ions.UV-Vis and luminescence spectra experiments reveal that different anions could selec-tively interact with different sites of Zn-salen modified metal-organic cages to achieve the structural regulation of cage compound,by using the differentiated host-guest electrostatic interactions of counter ions with metal-organic hosts.Compared to other anions,the presence of chloride ions caused the most significant fluorescence emission enhancement of Pd‑R(Zn),meanwhile,the UV-Vis absorption band attributed to the salen aromatic backbone showed an absorption decrease,and the metal-to-ligand induced peak displayed a blue shift effect.Circular dichro-ism and ^(1)H NMR spectra further demonstrate that the introduction of chloride anions is beneficial to keeping a more rigid scaffold.展开更多

Oxygen evolution reactions(OERs)as core components of energy conversion and storage technology systems,such as water splitting and rechargeable metal–air batteries,have attracted considerable attention in recent year...Oxygen evolution reactions(OERs)as core components of energy conversion and storage technology systems,such as water splitting and rechargeable metal–air batteries,have attracted considerable attention in recent years.Transition metal compounds,particularly layered double hydroxides(LDHs),are considered as the most promising electrocatalysts owing to their unique two-dimensional layer structures and tunable components.However,heir poor intrinsic electrical conductivities and the limited number of active sites hinder their performances.The regulation of the electronic structure is an effective approach to improve the OER activity of LDHs,including cationic and anionic regulation,defect engineering,regulation of intercalated anions,and surface modifications.In this review,we summarize recent advances in the regulation of the electronic structures of LDHs used as electrocatalysts in OERs.In addition,we discuss the effects of each regulation type on OER activities.This review is expected to shed light on the development and design of effective OER electrocatalysts by summarizing various electronic structure regulation pathways and the effects on their catalytic performances.展开更多
The use of electro-osmotic chemical is an effective method to improve the clayey soil foundation.Various boundary conditions can be adopted in this method.In this work,two electrode–clay contacts,three solution condi...The use of electro-osmotic chemical is an effective method to improve the clayey soil foundation.Various boundary conditions can be adopted in this method.In this work,two electrode–clay contacts,three solution conditioners,and four anode solution supply times were used for clayey soil improvement.Based on the experimental data,electro-osmotic consolidation theory,and transport of ion theory,it is found that the electro-osmotic chemical effect of the separation of electrode–clay(E_S)is more beneficial for the transport of Ca^(2+),production of cementing material,and reduction of water content than that of electrode–clay(E_C)joining;through electrode–clay contact separation,the anode solution conditioner(NaPO3)6(E_SHMP)delayed the cementing reaction and then increased the transport of Ca^(2+)near the cathode,which increased the amount of cementing material and the electro-osmotic chemical effect;and when the anode conditioner(NaPO3)6 was used,two days of anode solution supply followed by three days cut off from the anode solution led to the highest undrained shear strength increase after the application of electro-osmotic chemical,which resolved the uneven electro-osmotic chemical effect in the E_SHMP.展开更多

The relation between the performance and internal ba...The photo-corrosion of electrodeposited polycrystalline CdSe electrode was inhibited effectively by coating a thin layer of the conductive polyaniline (PAN) film. The relation between the performance and internal band structure of such film-covered PAN/CdSe electrode was studied by the electrochemical modulation reflectance spectrum (EMRS). EMRS of both CdSe and PAN/CdSe electrodes in K4Fe(CN)6/K3Fe(CN)6 solution exhibited typical France-Keidysh oscillations, by which the values of the energy gap and flat band potential were determined. The EMRS results indicated that the energy band structure of CdSe electrode was not changed after coated with PAN film, so that the photoelectrochemical characteristic of PAN/CdSe electrode was rather similar to that of CdSe electrode.展开更多
