Ag nanowire arrays with high aspect ratio were prepared using cyclic voltammetry within the confined nanochannels of AAO template. In addition, standing Ag nanowire arrays free-support of templates were also fabricated successfully by cyclic voltammetry method. The micrographs and crystal structures of Ag nanowires were studied by field emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). FESEM observation showed that the Ag nanowire arrays with high aspect ratio lie orderly on the surface of the substrate. The diameter of the Ag nanowire is about 60 nm and the length up to 30 靘 or more. While the controlled nanowire arrays exhibit highly ordered structure in large area and the standing Ag nanowire in the array has the length of 1 靘 and good orientation. XRD results illustrated that the Ag nanowires in the arrays deposited by cyclic voltammetry method have a face centered cubic structure and are preferentially oriented in the (220) direction.展开更多

Here, the employment of a dual-electrolyte system, that is, Na2S/Na2SO3 mixture and p H-neutral Na2SO4 as the respective electrolyte solutions in the anode and cathode chambers of a water splitting cell is demonstrated to suppress the photocorrosion of CuInS2-In2O3-TiO2 nanotube(CISIn2O3-TNT) heterostructure, while simultaneously boosts theηcurrent. Although n-type CIS and In2O3 nanoparticles can be easily formed on TNT array via facile pulse-assisted electrodeposition method, conformal deposition of the nanoparticles homogeneously on the nanotubes wall with preservation of the TNT hollow structure is shown to be essential for achieving efficient charge generation and separation within the heterostructure. In comparison to Na2S/Na2SO3 solution as the sole electrolyte in both the anode and cathode chambers, introduction of dual electrolyte is shown to not only enhance the photostability of the CIS-In2O3-TNT anode, but also lead to near-unity ηcurrentas opposed to the merely 20% ηcurrentof the single-electrolyte system.展开更多

The parameters of the resonators are designed so that the filtered signal from a broadband light source can be tuned with an absorption spectral line of gas. Therefore, through adding microring resonators horizontally and vertically, the number of target gases and filter range are increased. In this research, in the broad spectral range of about 0.9 μm, only the absorption spectral lines of target gases are filtered. The simulation results show that three target gases, CH_4, CO_2 and HF, can be simultaneously detected by the sensing system. Owing to the fiber loop ring-down spectroscopy, the whole system is optimized in mini-size and sensitivity, and we can choose different sensing methods to enhance the measurement accuracy for high and low concentration conditions.展开更多
