AIM:To determine the association between serum levels of growth-related gene product β(GROβ) and clinical parameters in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC).METHODS:Using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay,serum ...AIM:To determine the association between serum levels of growth-related gene product β(GROβ) and clinical parameters in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC).METHODS:Using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay,serum GROβ levels were measured in ESCC patients(n = 72) and healthy volunteers(n = 83).The association between serum levels of GROβ and clinical parameters of ESCC was analyzed statistically.RESULTS:The serum GROβ levels were much higher in ESCC patients than in healthy controls(median:645 ng/L vs 269 ng/L,P < 0.05).Serum GROβ levels were correlated positively with tumor size,lymph node metastasis,and tumor-node-metastasis(TNM) staging,but not with gender or the histological grade of tumors in ESCC patients.The sensitivity and specificity of the assay for serum GROβ were 73.61% and 56.63%,respectively.CONCLUSION:GROβ may function as an oncogene product and contribute to tumorigenesis and metastasis of ESCC.展开更多
The effects of cations stress of magnesium ion and sodium ion on the low-grade nickel sulfide ore oxidative leaching in simulated sulfuric acid solutions were investigated.This study was performed in two courses,inclu...The effects of cations stress of magnesium ion and sodium ion on the low-grade nickel sulfide ore oxidative leaching in simulated sulfuric acid solutions were investigated.This study was performed in two courses,including the effect of the cations on the valuable metals leaching efficiencies of the nickel ore and its influences on the electrochemical oxidation behavior of the nickel ore.The leaching results present that parts of magnesium-containing gangues and ferrous sulfide are preferentially dissolved into lixivium,and the leaching efficiencies of Ni and Cu decreased much related to the leached concentrations of Mg^2+increased.The results of electrochemical measurements show that the oxidation leaching of the low-grade nickel sulfide ore is controlled by the intermediates oxidative diffusion.Mg^2+,as well as Na^+,affects the transformations of the Fe^3+/Fe^2+ couple and sulfur-containing species,and those cations are apt to be attracted by the anions and directionally adhere to the negative active site of the metal sulfide surface,causing an increase in the electrochemical activities,which facilitates the electron transfer between the ore and leaching mediums.By comparative study of the role of Mg^2+ and Na^+,it is found that Mg^2+ negatively affects the oxidative diffusion of the intermediates through promoting the generation of a compact film,which lowers the metals leached efficiencies,and the unfavorable effect of Na+tends to be the coupled effect of the leached Mg^2+ and Fe^3+.展开更多
A novel silica-supported resin with a cyclic monoamide of polymerized 4-acryloylmorpholine(Silica-AM) was synthesized, and adsorptivity to metal ions of major fission products(FP) was examined in HNO3 and HCl solution...A novel silica-supported resin with a cyclic monoamide of polymerized 4-acryloylmorpholine(Silica-AM) was synthesized, and adsorptivity to metal ions of major fission products(FP) was examined in HNO3 and HCl solutions. Silica-AM has a carbonyl oxygen atom outside of the 6-membered morpholine ring, and a cyclic structure that is different than other cyclic monoamide resins we have studied. These include polyvinylpolypyrrolidone(PVPP) and poly-N-vinyl-ε-caprolactam(VEC), both of which have coordinative carbonyl groups included in the ring. Silica-AM was similar to a cyclic monoamide we have reported because it exhibited adsorption to Pd(Ⅱ) and Re(VⅡ) in HNO3 of a particularly low concentration range. Silica-AM has an ether oxygen atom included in the ring as well. Considering the difference in the chemical structures of Silica-AM and other cyclic monoamide resins, it was suggested that oxygen atoms in the carbonyl group and in ether may be main contributors to Silica-AM's respective adsorptions to Pd(Ⅱ) and Re(VⅡ), and Mo(VI) and Zr(IV). Our results imply that the contribution of the two types of oxygen atoms to adsorption is more observable in an HCl system. The contribution of the ether oxygen atom to the adsorption of Pd(Ⅱ) was also suggested from our study on crystal prepared from 4-acetylmorpholine and palladium nitrate.展开更多
