Under a wheat-soybean-corn rotation, during twelve years where no fertilizer was applied, crops removed 60 and 81 mg P kg-1 soil in the control and NK treatment, respectively. About one third of the P absorbed by crops was originated from organic P. Ca2-P, Cag-P, Al-P and Fe-P were the main forms of inorganic P absorbed by crops. The surplus P from fertilization remained in the 0-20 cm soil layer and increased with the application rate of P. The combined application of NP or NPK increased available P to a lesser extent than the combined application of PK. Fertilizer P had mainly transformed to the Al-P, Fe-P, Ca2-P, and Cas-P forms. By using the P budget (X), changes in total P (Y1) and available P (Y2) in soils under the current cropping system could be predicted by the equations: Y1 = 0.02 + 1.01X and Y2 = 2.08 + 0.15X.展开更多

The tumors in these 58 patients were within a distance of 1 cm to major hepatic vessels (retrothepatic inferior vena cava, root of hepatic veins, and left or right trunk of portal vein) . The diameter of the tumors was > 5 cm in 42 cases and < 5 cm in 16 cases, respectively. The size of the largest tumor was 20 cm ×18 cm×18 cm. The surgical techniques are summarized, and the prevention and treatment of postoperative complications are discussed. Results All operations have been carried out successfully and had a regular follow-up until now with 1-, 3- and 5-year survival rate of 71%, 38% and 25%, respectively. Conclusion While hilar liver surgery is quite difficult and risky, the safety and therapeutic results of surgery could be improved by observing a meticulous surgical technique, and by preventing and treating postoperative complications by multimodal measures.展开更多

A 58-year-old female patient presented with massive right pleural effusion, ascites and a huge pelvic mass. Under the diagnosis of an advanced ovarian tumor, bilateral oophorectomy was performed and sigmoidectomy was also carried out after intraoperative diagnosis of peritoneal dissemination involving the sigmoid colon. How- ever, immunohistochemical staining revealed that the ovarian lesions were metastasis from the primary advanced colon cancer. Postoperatively, ascites and pleural effusion subsided, and the diagnosis of Pseudo-Meigs' Syndrome due to a metastatic ovarian tumor from colon cancer was determined. The patient is now undergoing a regimen of chemotherapy for colon cancer without recurrence of ascites or hydrothorax 10 mo after the surgery. Pseudo-Meigs' Syndrome due to a metastaticovarian tumor from colon cancer is rare but clinically important because long-term alleviation of symptoms can be achieved by surgical resection. This case report suggests that selected patients, even with peritoneal dissemination, may obtain palliation from surgical resection of metastatic ovarian tumors.展开更多
