A maximally flat FIR filter design method based on explicit formulas combined with simulated annealing and random search was presented. Utilizing the explicit formulas to calculate the ini- tial values, the firate-word-length FIR filter design problem was converted into optimization of the filter coefficients, An optimization method combined with local discrete random search and simulated annealing was proposed, with the result of optimum solution in the sense of Chebyshev approximation. The proposed method can simplify the design process of FIR filter and reduce the calculation burden. The simulation result indicates that the proposed method is superior to the traditional round off method and can reduce the value of the objective function to 41%~74%. 展开更多

In this case,reliability analysis of the rotor can't be realized for design parameters as random. Based on theory of elastic mechanics,starting with the micro element of the rotor,stress formulas on arbitrary point of turbine disc with equal and variable thickness are deducted under the influence of centrifugal force and temperature field on rotor system simultaneously. Considering the random of structural size of the turbine rotor,temperature stress,rotating speed,external loads and material strength,the reliability of a rotor is studied with stress-strength interference model,integral stochastic finite element method(ISFEM) and Gram-Charlier series method,and random structural reliability of the rotor is computed with higher accuracy. 展开更多

For an energy-efficient induction machine, the life-cycle cost (LCC) usually is the most important index to the consumer. With this target, the optimization design of a motor is a complex nonlinear problem with constraints. To solve the problem, the authors introduce a united random algorithm. At first, the problem is divided into two parts, the optimal rotor slots and the optimization of other dimensions. Before optimizing the rotor slots with genetic algorithm ( GA), the second part is solved with TABU algorithm to simplify the problem. The numerical results showed that this method is better than the method using a traditional algorithm. 展开更多

Extraction and Powder Product of Fructo-oligosaccharide from Jerusalem Artichoke

It also helps to improve a digestion in the intestine, an excretion system and prevent the cancer. Jerusalem ar... Fructo-oligosaccharide (FOS) is a type of dietary fiber. It can not be digested by enzymes in the body. It also helps to improve a digestion in the intestine, an excretion system and prevent the cancer. Jerusalem artichoke is scanned and analyzed by High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) for quantity of FOS. They are selected for extraction and drying process. Studies on the extraction for a powder making, the conditions are optimum for maximum yield. Experiments manage using a factorial real 2 × 4 × 6 in 2 blocks of Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) models. The first factor studies on two types of solvent. The second factor is the four levels of temperature in the extraction with water at 25 ℃, 35 ℃, 50℃ and 60℃ for 30 min. The third factor is the ratio of sample per solvent as 5, 6, 10, 15, 20 and 30 times. The data and comparison of average is analyzed by Duncan's New Mutiple Range Test at the significant level 0.05. The concentrated extracts are processed to powder by freeze drying, a hot air and vacuum drying. Optimal conditions control the temperature and time by heating in both vacuum and conventional oven. The results of temperature on the extraction are significantly different at a = 0.05. In drying process with high temperature, the color of product is more yellow (b) and less white (L). The difference of color value is statistically significant at level a = 0.05. The sensory evaluation of food products are added the extracted powder and attribute by panelist. High level acceptance of product is aspectual about texture and flavor. FOS is the trend of functional foods for health. It is focus on low energy and on obesity including increasing the absorption of calcium. 展开更多

The present research was conducted to monitor the wheat productivity along with residue incorporation under saline-sodic soils by examining different planting methods at Zaidi Farm, Kakar Gill, Sheikhupura District, Punjab Province in 2007-2008. Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replications was used having treatments: control (broadcast), zero till wheat plantation, wheat plantation using happy seeder and wheat plantation on raised beds. It was observed that tillering was pretty higher (141 and 139 m2) under raised bed as well as happy seeder plantation as compared to zero tilled wheat and broadcast technique. A significant relation was detected among maximum straw and grain yield (4,898 and 1,752 kg-ha1) in raised bed followed by happy seeder planting method. The lowest grain yield was recorded in the broadcast method. Maximum net revenue earned by raised bed planting method (39,908 PKR) followed by happy seeder methodology (37,533 PKR). The overall study suggests that raised bed and happy seeder wheat plantation are the superior planting methods. 展开更多
