In thisprocession, the conductive particles interact to each other. In this paper, we describe theconductance of the doped polymer by Monte Carlo method. As urbanization expands' into the suburbs of Chinese cities, the conversion of farmers into citizens with urban social protection is becoming an important issue facing Chinese megacities. Taking Beijing as an example...As urbanization expands' into the suburbs of Chinese cities, the conversion of farmers into citizens with urban social protection is becoming an important issue facing Chinese megacities. Taking Beijing as an example, this paper has calculated the one-off urbanization cost of farmers in China and arrived at the results of 500, 000 yuan per person for urbanization of centralized target regions in the suburb and 200, 000 yuan per person for urbanization of scattered target regions in the exurb. This paper considers that a diversified cost sharing mechanism should be put into place for the step-by-step urbanization of farmers. In addition, policy recommendations are proposed regarding the functional transformation of collective economic organizations, eradication of the urban-rural divide, enhancement of land system innovation and policy improvements for urbanization of rural residents.展开更多
Lectins play a crucial role in the innate immunity of invertebrates and vertebrates by recognizing and disposing of pathogens. We obtained the complete cDNA of a C-type lectin (EALecl) from Epinephelus akaara using ...Lectins play a crucial role in the innate immunity of invertebrates and vertebrates by recognizing and disposing of pathogens. We obtained the complete cDNA of a C-type lectin (EALecl) from Epinephelus akaara using RACE. The complete EALecl cDNA sequence was 827 bp. The 5-UTR and 3-UTR were 28 bp and 151 bp, respectively, in length. The sequence also contained a polyadenylation signal AATAAA and a poly(A) tail. The EALecl cDNA encodes polypeptides with 215 amino acids, including a signal peptide of 31 amino acids. The protein has a cysteine-rich region at the N terminal, a collagenous region characterized by G-X-Y repeats, a neck region, and a typical carbohydrate-recognition domain (CRD), indicating that EALecl is a collectin. The key recognition positions of this CRD are EPD, isolated for the first time in fish. These are likely the interim types, between mannan-binding lectin and galactose-binding lectin. We evaluated the expression pattern of EALecl in 12 different tissues using RT-PCR. EALecl was expressed in all tissues, though at different levels. In addition, we inserted EALecl into an expression vector (pET-28a) for transformation into the BL21 engineering bacteria. Based on enzyme digestion and sequencing of the positive clone, we successfully constructed the EALecl recombinant expression vector.展开更多

The present study aims to find the effect of cultural orientatiotr---like individualism or collectivism on a person's organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) There are many studies related to collectivism and organization citizenship behavior as well as organization commitment and OCB. But most of these studies were done in a western context and is done years back. The present generation of UAE having undergone studies in management which is highly dominated by western philosophies and due to their interaction with diverse nationalities have evolved in their behavior. At this point it is necessary to investigate whether there is any shift in their behavior pattems based on collectivism. Career commitment has grown among UAE nationals in recent years due to high level of commitment from the government towards education and employment. Since OCB is more of an altruistic tendency within an individual, the study looks into the cultural difference within an individual like individualism or collectivism and its relationship with a person's OCB level among the employees in UAE. Career commitment is taken as a another variable. The study has made some interesting findings which show a shift from the previous studies that show a direct relationship using correlation analysis, between collectivism and organization citizenship behavior. The study found that there is no relationship between individualism or collectivism and organization citizenship behavior, but there is some relationship between career commitment and organization citizenship behavior factor loyal boosterism.展开更多
The estrogenic activity of influents and effluents of five municipal sewage treatment works (STWs) in Nanjing was investigated. The water samples were enriched by solid phase extraction, then eluted with different p...The estrogenic activity of influents and effluents of five municipal sewage treatment works (STWs) in Nanjing was investigated. The water samples were enriched by solid phase extraction, then eluted with different polar solvents, and f'mally three fractionated extracts were obtained. Estrogen receptor recombinant yeast screen was used to evaluate the estrogenic activity of individual fractionated extracts and their mixture. The results show that the influents and effluents of the two STWs mainly receiving industrial wastewater have no obvious estrogenic activity, and the water samples from the other three STWs mainly receiving domestic wastewater show different degrees of estrogenic activity. The total estrogenic concentration ranged from 171. 52 ng/L EEQ (E2 - equivalent concentration) to 1 008.37 ng/L EEQ in the influents, and from ND (not detected) to 36.3 ng/L EEQ in the effluents. By comparing the results of different fractionated extracts, the methanol and dichloromethane extracts of the water samples show higher estrogenic activity, while the hexane extracts very low. The (xeno)estrogens from domestic wastewater could be removed obviously by activated sludge treatment units. However, the effluents of STWs in Nanjing still have chemical contaminants capable of binding to estrogen receptors.展开更多

In this review, progress in ultrathin nanocrystals in the last decade and several important factors in the growth mechanisms are covered. By giving examples of cluster assembly from 1D to 3D nanostructures, the utility of cluster assembly in the synthesis of new materials has been demonstrated.展开更多

These components of the buildings envelope have very compl...The laboratory LAMTI has worked for several years on the study and the optimization of the thermal performances of passive solar walls like solar Trombe wall. These components of the buildings envelope have very complex behaviour because they are the seat of various coupled heat transfers modes and are subjected to the random variations of the meteorological parameters. Using the finite difference method (FDM) and starting from experimental results recorded during several years, a simulation model was developed and validated concerning the "composite" Trombe wall. In order to make this work more accessible to the community of the heat engineers, it appears interesting to build a simulation model which can be integrated into the library of elements of the TRNSYS software. A "Type" was thus carried out and the results obtained compared with those of the FDM model. In this work we compare the obtained results with these two numerical ways. The assumptions and the results of simulations are also confronted with those of an existing module in TRNSYS (Type 36) established for the "classical" Trombe wall. The study shows that the models that we developed are very precise and that certain assumptions must be used with a lot of precautions. The advantages of the composite Trombe solar wall compared to the Classical Trombe wall are highlighted for cold and/or cloudy climates.展开更多

In this paper, we establish a general "expansive replacement method" for constructing mixedlevel OAs of an arbitrary strength. As a consequence, a positive answer to the question about orthogonal arrays posed by Hedayat, Sloane and Stufken is given. Some series of mixed level OAs of strength ≥3 are produced.展开更多
