In order to solve the problem of semantic heterogeneity in information integration, an ontology based semantic information integration (OSII) model and its logical framework are proposed. The OSII adopts the hybrid ontology approach and uses OWL (web ontology language) as the ontology language. It obtains unified views from multiple sources by building mappings between local ontologies and the global ontology. A tree- based multi-strategy ontology mapping algorithm is proposed. The algorithm is achieved by the following four steps: pre-processing, name mapping, subtree mapping and remedy mapping. The advantages of this algorithm are: mapping in the compatible datatype categories and using heuristic rules can improve mapping efficiency; both linguistic and structural similarity are used to improve the accuracy of the similarity calculation; an iterative remedy is adopted to obtain correct and complete mappings. A challenging example is used to illustrate the validity of the algorithm. The OSII is realized to effectively solve the problem of semantic heterogeneity in information integration and to implement interoperability of multiple information sources. 展开更多

Deep web data integration needs to do schema matching on web query interfaces and obtain the mapping table.By introducing semantic conflicts into web query interface integration and discussing the origins and categories of the semantic conflicts,an ontology-based schema matching method is proposed.The process of the method is explained in detail using the example of web query interface integration in house domain.Conflicts can be detected automatically by checking semantic relevance degree,then the categories of the conflicts are identified and messages are sent to the conflict solver,which eliminates the conflicts and obtains the mapping table using conflict solving rules.The proposed method is simple,easy to implement and can be flexibly reused by extending the ontology to different domains. 展开更多

Formal verification is playing a significant role in IC design.However,the common models for verification either have their complexity problems or have applicable limitations.In order to overcome the deficiencies,a novel model-WGL(Weighted Generalized List)is proposed,which is based on the general-list decomposition of polynomials,with three different weights and manipulation rules introduced to effect node sharing and the canonicity.Timing parameters and operations on them are also considered.Examples show the word-level WGL is the only model to linearly represent the common word-level functions and the bit-level WGL is especially suitable for arithmetic intensive circuits.The model is proved to be a uniform and efficient model for both bit-level and word-level functions.Then based on the WGL model,a backward-construction verification approach is proposed,which reduces time and space complexity for multipliers to polynomial complexity(time complexity is less than O(n3.6)and space complexity is less than O(n1.5))without hierarchical partitioning.Both the model and the verification method show their theoretical and applicable significance in IC design. 展开更多

Many ontologies are provided to representing semantic sensors data.However,heterogeneity exists in different sensors which makes some service operators of Internet of Thing(IoT) difficult(such as such as semantic inferring,non-linear inverted index establishing,service composing) .There is a great deal of research about sensor ontology alignment dealing with the heterogeneity between the different sensor ontologies,but fewer solutions focus on exploiting syntaxes in a sensor ontology and the pattern of accessing alignments.Our solution infers alignments by extending structural subsumption algorithms to analyze syntaxes in a sensor ontology,and then combines the alignments with the SKOS model to construct the integration sensor ontology,which can be accessed via the IoT.The experiments show that the integration senor ontology in the SKOS model can be utilized via the IoT service,and the accuracy of our prototype,in average,is higher than others over the four real ontologies. 展开更多

This paper is about the model of masculinity exhibited in the African American novelist Frank Yerby's historical novel The Dahomean (1971) which is a classic text for masculinity study but has been ignored. In a flash-back narration, the novel tells us the legendary experience of Nyasanu in Africa before he becomes a slave in the south of America, portrays a well-rounded and authentic Black male character, and constructs a model of masculinity of great value for reference. The model of masculinity demonstrated by Nyasanu is no longer limited by the rigid and unitary stipulations of traditional gender concept. It is a model which integrates tenderness into toughness, combines physical power or military prowess with mental power or wisdom, and most importantly, a model that stresses men's agency and authenticity. At the same time, by the resentment of war and cherishement of life, this model of masculinity exhibits considerable ethical dimension and humanitarianism. It can be said that the model of masculinity inscribed in The Dahornean is of much enlightening importance for contemporary people to reflect upon the patriarchal culture and prevalent gender notions such as gender role concept. As for people's pursueing and constructing their ideal masculinity, the model of masculinity embodied in The Dahomean can be an important model for reference. 展开更多

In the first part, the concept of instrumental reason is defended. Although we live in the age of pluralism, in which a tendency prevails to put all types of rationality on the same plane, there is a rationality that has a unique position: the instrumental rationality. The article then examines Luk^ics's roots of this concept and its elaboration by Adomo and Horkheimer. The second part refers to the current transformation of instrumental reason that these authors could not register. Instrumental reason changes so that it can connect several seemingly incoherent elements: postmodern non-objectivity, social and ecological normativity, and reified imperatives of capitalism. This formation is here called over-instrumental instrumental reason. In conclusion, the article deals with the question of how its non-instrumental component to exempt from its instrumental ones. 展开更多

The integration of remote sensing (RS) with geographical information system (GIS) is a hotspot in geographical information science.A good database structure is important to the integration of RS with GIS,which should be beneficial to the complete integration of RS with GIS,able to deal with the disagreement between the resolution of remote sensing images and the precision of GIS data,and also helpful to the knowledge discovery and exploitation.In this paper,the database structure storing the spatial data based on semantic network is presented.This database structure has several advantages.Firstly,the spatial data is stored as raster data with space index,so the image processing can be done directly on the GIS data that is stored hierarchically according to the distinguishing precision.Secondly,the simple objects are aggregated into complex ones.Thirdly,because we use the indexing tree to depict the relationship of aggregation and the indexing pictures expressed by 2_D strings to describe the topology structure of the objects,the concepts of surrounding and region are expressed clearly and the semantic content of the landscape can be illustrated well.All the factors that affect the recognition of the objects are depicted in the factor space,which provides a uniform mathematical frame for the fusion of the semantic and non_semantic information.Lastly,the object node,knowledge node and the indexing node are integrated into one node.This feature enhances the ability of system in knowledge expressing,intelligent inference and association.The application shows that this database structure can benefit the interpretation of remote sensing image with the information of GIS. 展开更多
