In order to reveal the influence of forced ventilation on the dispersion of droplets ejected from roadheader-mounted external sprayer,the paper studies the air-flowing field and the droplet distribution under the cond...In order to reveal the influence of forced ventilation on the dispersion of droplets ejected from roadheader-mounted external sprayer,the paper studies the air-flowing field and the droplet distribution under the condition of gentle breeze and normal forced ventilation in heading face using the particle tracking technology of computational fluid dynamics(CFD).The results show that air-flowing tendency in the same section presents great comparability in the period of gentle breeze and forced ventilation,and the difference mainly embodies in the different wind velocity.The influence of ventilation on the dispersion of droplets is faint under the gentle breeze condition.The droplet can be evenly distributed around the cutting head.However,under the normal forced ventilation,a large number of droplets will drift to the return air side.At the same time,droplet clusters are predominantly presented in the lower part of windward side and the middle of the leeward side around the cutting head.In contrast,the droplet concentration in other parts around cutting head decreases a lot and the droplets are unable to form close-grained mist curtain.So the dust escape channel is formed.In addition,the simulation results also reveal that the disturbance of air flow on the droplet distribution can be effectively relieved when using ventilation duct with Coanda effect(VDCE).Field experiment results show that the dust suppression efficiency of total dust and respirable dust increases respectively by 10.5%and 9.3%when using VDCE,which proves that it can weaken the influence of airflow on droplet dispersion.展开更多

By applying Gauss diffusion equation, the spray diffusion rule in valley was studied under the condition of continuous linear source and random wind direction.By considering the spray rain switching process, coagulation, condensation and evaporation of droplets, the air temperature, air relative humidity, spray density and the rainfall intensity in the lower reaches of the linear source were calculated. The 3 D numerical simulation fitted well with prototype monitoring. Finally, the prediction of atomization influence on environments for Xiangjiaba Hydropower Station was conducted.展开更多
The code COCOSYS (Containment Code System) was developed by GRS (Gesellschaft fur Anlagen-und Reaktorsicherheit) in Germany to simulate processes and nuclear plant states during severe accidents in the containment...The code COCOSYS (Containment Code System) was developed by GRS (Gesellschaft fur Anlagen-und Reaktorsicherheit) in Germany to simulate processes and nuclear plant states during severe accidents in the containments of light water reactors. It contains several physical models, especially a module for aerosol behaviour. The goal of this work was to extend COCOSYS for applications in more general geometries mainly for complex public buildings. For the application in public buildings, models for air condition systems and different boundary conditions according to different environments were developed. The principal application of the extended code COCOSYS is in the area of emergency situations especially in the simulation for carbon monoxide and smoke dispersion. As first achievement realistic fire emergency scenarios in the Vienna General Hospital (AKH) could be simulated. The results of the simulation can be used for the development of fire emergency training.展开更多

The improved HPLC-ELSD method for the separation and quantitation of commercial and synthesized sucrose esters is described. Samples are analyzed by means of a reversed-phase (RP) HPLC using a Hypersil C8 column (250 mm× 4.6 mm, 5 μm particle size) with methanol-tetrahydrofuran (vo)ume ratio of 90 : 10) and water under gradientcondition as the mobile phase, in which the flow rate is 1.0 ml·min^-1 and the column temperature is set at 40℃. This procedure provides a complete separation and determination ot monoester, diester, triester and higher esters with different acyl chain lengths in each fraction by a single run, in combination with the ESI-MS technology. With this method, it is possible to determine the approximate compositions of monoto polyesters in one analysis and quantitate pure positional isomers precisely using an external standard method. It is found that the method of ESI-MS coupling with HPLC system for the analysis of sucrose esters is straight forward, rapid and inexpensive, and can be readily applied in synthesis, purification and structure studies.展开更多
