应力波动力扰动下脆性岩石的静力蠕变特性,对深部地下工程围岩变形的评价有重要的实践意义.动力载荷作用导致的局部细观裂纹损伤严重影响脆性岩石蠕变力学行为.基于细观裂纹扩展与应力关系模型、动力扰动损伤演化函数、静动力载荷演化... 应力波动力扰动下脆性岩石的静力蠕变特性,对深部地下工程围岩变形的评价有重要的实践意义.动力载荷作用导致的局部细观裂纹损伤严重影响脆性岩石蠕变力学行为.基于细观裂纹扩展与应力关系模型、动力扰动损伤演化函数、静动力载荷演化路径函数与黏弹性本构模型,提出一种应力波动力扰动下脆性岩石蠕变断裂特性的宏细观力学模型.其中动力损伤通过控制岩石内部细观裂纹数量变化实现.模型描述了应力波动力扰动下岩石的应变时间演化曲线,解释了岩石动力扰动下蠕变失效特性.研究了不同应力波幅值及周期影响下的脆性岩石应变-时间关系曲线,并通过试验结果验证了模型的合理性.讨论了动力损伤变化形式,突变发生时刻,突变量的大小对岩石蠕变失效特性的影响.分析了应力波幅值、周期对岩石动态动力损伤效应以及蠕变失效特性的影响.主要研究结果:动力损伤的变化值越大,岩石蠕变失效发生时间越短.冲击载荷扰动期间,动力损伤发生的时刻及增加的形式,对动力扰动后的岩石应变及蠕变破坏时间影响很小.动力损伤变化量随应力波幅值增加、周期减小而加速增大.应力波幅值越大、周期越小,岩石发生蠕变失效时间越短. 展开更多

Ecological reactive powder concrete (ECO-RPC) with small sized and differentvolume fraction steel fibers was prepared by substitution of ultra-fine industrial waste powder for50% to 60% cement by weight and replacement of ground fine quartz sand with natural fine aggregate.The effect of steel fiber volume fraction and curing ages on the static mechanical behaviour ofECO-RPC was studied. Using the split Hopkinson pressure bar technique, the dynamic mechanicalbehaviour of ECO-RPC was investigated under different strain rates. The results show that the staticmechanical behaviour of ECO-RPC increases with the increase of steel fiber volume fraction andcuring ages. The type of ECO-RPC with the substitution of 25% ultra-fine slag, 25% ultra-fine flyash and 10% silica fume is better than the others with compressive strength, flexural strength, andfracture energy more than 200 MPa, 60 MPa and 30 kJ/m^2, respectively. ECO-RPC has excellent strainrate stiffening effects under dynamic load. Its peak stress, peak strain and the area understrain-stress curve increase with the increase of strain rate. Its fracture pattern changes frombrittleness to toughness under high strain rates. 展开更多

Failure analysis of railway draw-hook coupler was carried out.The nondestructive testing method was undertaken on some failed couplers in service to designate critical areas of a coupler.Draw-Hook coupler is used to connect with the same hook coupler or automatic coupler.The influence of each connection types on the coupler strength in this study was discussed.A numerical stress analysis using FEM was performed,and many approaches including critical plane approach were carried out on fatigue life prediction of coupler under different conditions.The results of the proposed fatigue criterion and fatigue life predictions,as well as static numerical analysis,are validated with experimental results. 展开更多

The effect of electrostatic tractions on the fracture behavior of a dielectric material under mechanical and/or electric loading is analyzed,by studying a pre-cracked parallel-plate capacitor,and illustrated by plots.The results indicate that electrostatic tractions on the electrodes compress the material in front of the crack tip,while electrostatic tractions on the crack faces have the tendency to close the crack and stretch the material behind the crack tip.Mechanical load is the driving force to propagate the crack,while applied electric field retards crack propagation due to the electrostatic tractions.As a direct consequence,the fracture criterion is composed of two parts:the energy release rate must exceed a critical value and the mechanical load must be higher than the critical value for crack opening. 展开更多

The effect of electric charge on the mechanical properties of graphene under tensile loading is investigated by using molecular dynamics method.A modified atomistic moment method based on the classical electrostatics theory is proposed to obtain the distribution of extra charges induced by an external electric field and net electric charges stored in graphene.The electrostatic interactions between charged atoms are calculated using the coulomb law.The results show that the Young's modulus and the critical fracture stress under uniaxial tension decrease with the increase of electric potential and net charges on graphene.The failure of graphene induced by electric charges is found to be controlled by charge level.The results indicate that the carbon-carbon bonds at the edge of graphene will break first. 展开更多
