First, the physical interference model based on the signal-to-interference-plus-noise rati...A channel assignment algorithm with awareness of link traffic is proposed in multi-radio multi-channel wireless mesh networks. First, the physical interference model based on the signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio and successful transmission condition is described. The model is more suitable for a wireless communication environment than other existing models. Secondly, a pure integer quadratic programming (PIQP) model is used to solve the channel assignment problem and improve the capacity of wireless mesh networks. Consequently, a traffic- aware static channel assignment algorithm(TASC) is designed. The algorithm adopts some network parameters, including the network connectivity, the limitation of the number of radios and the successful transmission conditions in wireless communications. The TASC algorithm can diminish network interference and increase the efficiency of channel assignment while keeping the connectivity of the network. Finally, the feasibility and effectivity of the channel assignment solution are illustrated by the simulation results. Compared witb similar algorithms, the proposed algorithm can increase the capacity of WMNs.展开更多
The structure and working principle of a self-deigned high pressure electronic pneumatic pressure reducing valve (EPPRV) with slide pilot are introduced.The resistance value formulas and the relationship between the r...The structure and working principle of a self-deigned high pressure electronic pneumatic pressure reducing valve (EPPRV) with slide pilot are introduced.The resistance value formulas and the relationship between the resistance and pressure of three typical pneumatic resistances are obtained.Then,the method of static characteristics analysis only considering pneumatic resistances is proposed,the resistance network from gas supply to load is built up,and the mathematical model is derived from the flow rate formulas and flow conservation equations,with the compressibility of high pressure gas and temperature drop during the expansion considered in the model.Finally,the pilot spool displacement of 1.5 mm at an output pressure of 15MPa and the enlarging operating stroke of the pilot spool are taken as optimization targets,and the optimization is carried out based on genetic algorithm and the model mentioned above.The results show that the static characteristics of the EPPRV are significantly improved.The idea of static characteristics analysis and optimization based on pneumatic resistance network is valuable for the design of pneumatic components or system.展开更多
The purpose of this paper is looking for associations between environmental factors and morphological parameters in tambaqui (Piaractus brachypomus) individuals to differentiate this species in lentic environments ...The purpose of this paper is looking for associations between environmental factors and morphological parameters in tambaqui (Piaractus brachypomus) individuals to differentiate this species in lentic environments (lake) and lotic (river). In this, regard studied 30 specimens, 15 from lentic environment (lake) and 15 from lotic (river). Also, on right profile of these 25 morphometric variables were measured. On data matrix a PCA (principal components analysis) based on morphometric correlations matrix, which was defined in the new morphologic space of these specimens (3 principal components) which explain 73.23% of variability. Fish projection in first two principal components showed a morphological differentiation between two environments (lentic and lotic), with variables as, horizontal eye diameter, length maxilla, suggesting greater response of these fish in lotic environment by their adaptation to light conditions, predators threat and food distribution. Finally, in lotic environment these fish have thinner caudal peduncle, indicating greater plasticity, namely stylized fish.展开更多
