The formulation presented in this paper is different from any other non linear mixed/hybrid element formulation all successful experience of linear hybrid formulation is absorbed into the formulation(adding non conforming modes and realizing orthogonalization) Numerical results show that the present approach is more effective than any other non linear hybrid element formulation over the accuracy and computational efficiency. In addition, non conforming modes can also overcome the shear locking effect.展开更多

METHODS:Twenty-four patients with metastatic or locally advanced HCC in a normal or a fibrotic liver were given systemic chemotherapy(epirubicin,cis- platin and 5-fluorouracil or epirubicin, cisplatin and capecitabine regimens).Tumor response, time to pro- gression, survival, and toxicity were evaluated. RESULTS:There were 7 women and 17 men, mean age 54±10 years;18 patients had a normal liver and 6 had a fibrotic liver(F1/F2 on biopsy).Mean tumor size was 14 cm,5 patients had portal vein thrombosis and 7 had metastasis.Patients received a median of 4 chemotherapy sessions.Overall tolerance was good. There were 5 partial responses(objective response rate =22%),and tumor control rate was 52%.Second line surgical resection was possible in two patients.Median survival was 11 mo,and 1-and 2-year overall survival rates were 50%±10%and 32%±11%,respectively. CONCLUSION:In patients with HCC in a non-cirrhotic liver, chemotherapy was well tolerated and associated with an objective response rate of 22%,including two patients who underwent secondary surgical resection.展开更多

METHODS Immunohistochemical and immunofluorescence double staining were performed to examine the expression of E-cad and PCNA in 68 primary NSCLCs cases. RESULTS The E-cad expression in squamous cell carcinomas and adenocarcinomas showed no significant difference.E-cad expression had a positive correlation with the histological- differentiated grade.A significant difference of E-cad expression was found between metastatic and non-metastatic groups.PCNA expression in squamous cell carcinomas and adenocarcinomas showed no significant difference. The PCNA expression had a reverse correlation with the histological-differentiated grade.A significant difference of PCNA expression was found between metastatic and non-metastatic groups. The E-cad and PCNA expression presented a reverse correlation. CONCLUSION E-cad expression is not associated with the histological type of NSCLC,but is associated with differentiation and metastasis of the cancer.Down-regulation of E-cad expression affects the proliferation of cancer cells.Conjoint analysis of E-cad and PCNA expression is a good way to evaluate tumor biological behavior.展开更多

METHODS A total of 45 patients with CD20 positive B-cell non- Hodgkin's lymphoma were randomly divided into the R-CHOP (22 cases) and CHOP groups (23 cases for controls). They received the regimens of Mabthera in combination with CHOP or single CHOP therapy respectively. An appraisement of the curative effect could only be performed following 4 cycles of chemotherapy for the 45 patients. Follow-up was conducted to observe the conditions of survival. RESULTS The rate of complete remission (CR) in the R-CHOP group was 68.2%, with a total effective rate of 81.8%, and in the CHOP group these rates were 34.8% and 78.3% respectively. There was a significant difference in comparing the CR rates between the two groups (P 〈 0.05). The 1, 2 and 3-year overall survival (OS) rates of the RCHOP group were 90.9%, 81.8% and 77.3%, respectively. In the CHOP group, the OS rates were respectively 91.3%, 69.5% and 47.8%. The difference in the 3-year OS between the two groups was significant (P 〈 0.05). The toxic effects of the two groups were mainly a slight and moderate bone marrow depression and a gastrointesinal reaction, with similar tolerable toxic effects in the two groups (P 〉 0.05). Adverse effects related to the Mabthera infusions occurred in 6 cases of the R-CHOP group (27.2%). These effects lessened after symptomatic treatment. CONCLUSION The therapeutic regimen of Mabthera, in combination with CHOP (R-CHOP) has an obvious curative effect for treating invasive B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, with a favorable tolerance. It is highly recommended as the treatment of choice.展开更多

Methods: 28 patients aged over 65 with advanced NSCLC were received with docetaxel (Aisu) 35 mg/m^2 on days 1, 8 and 15 every 28 days. A clinical evaluation on effectiveness, quality of life and toxicities was performed. Results: 28 patients were given 86 cycles' chemotherapy altogether. The overall response rate was 35.7% (10/28). The clinical beneficial rate was 64.3% (18/28). Mean KPS was increased from 75.5 at baseline to 87.7 after chemotherapy (P 〈 0.01); lung cancer symptom scale (LCSS) scores of cough, hemoptysis, chest pain and dyspnea were increased from 64, 65, 62 and 65 to 90, 92, 87 and 88, respectively (P 〈 0.01). The median time to progression (TTP) was 5.3 months; median survival time (MST) was 8.5 months. The main toxicities were fatigue, leukopenia and decrease of hemoglobin with well tolerance. Conclusion: Weekly dose docetaxel monotherapy schedule is a feasible, well-tolerated, and active scheme in the treatment of the elderly patients with advanced NSCLC.展开更多

In particular, we discuss an application of the 5 expansion method (created to deal with problems in Quantum Field Theory) which will enable both the linearization and perturbation expansion of such equations. Such a method allows for one to quickly obtain the order zero perturbation theory in terms of certain special functions which are governed by linear equations. Higher order perturbation theories can then be obtained in terms of such special functions. One benefit to such a method is that it may be applied even to models without small physical parameters, as the perturbation is given in terms of the degree of nonlinearity, rather than any physical parameter. As an application, we discuss a method of linearizing the six Painlev~ equations by an application of the method. In addition to highlighting the benefits of the method, we discuss certain shortcomings of the method.展开更多

Then it is necessary to determine hydrodynamic coefficients and interaction force coefficients of the model. Based on the data of free running model test, the problem for obtaining these coefficients is called inverse one. For the inverse problem, ill-posedness is inherent, nonlinearity and great computation happen, and the computation is also insensitive, unstable and time-consuming. In the paper, a regularization method is introduced to solve ill-posed problem and genetic algorithm is used for nonlinear motion of ship maneuvering. In addition, the immunity is applied to solve the prematurity, to promote the global searching ability and to increase the converging speed. The combination of regularization method and immune genetic algorithm(RIGA) applied in MMG mathematical model, showed rapid converging speed and good stability.展开更多
