Computer Simulation of Compensation Method for Infrared Focal Plane Array

A major motivation for this work is to investigate a method of computer simulation for compensating fixed pattern noise of the infrared focal plane arrays. A mathematical model of the output signal of focal plane array was established; a compensating algorithm utilizing reference source was derived and simulating programs were designed. The images of compensating process verify the influence of nonuniformity of responsibility and offset on fixed pattern noise. The result show that simulating method of investigating compensation technology for focal plane arrays is feasible, the generated images and methods can be used to the study of image recognition. 展开更多

With the help of symbolic computation, the one-, two-, and N-soliton solutions are obtained through the bilinear method. B^cklund transformation in the bilinear form is presented, through which a new solution is constructed. Graphically, we have found that the solitons are symmetric about x = O, while the soliton pulse width and amplitude will change along with the distance and time during the propagation. 展开更多

It has been found in our past studies that the installation of asymmetric plate at the inlet of inducer is effective for the suppression of cavitation surge phenomenon.In the present study,the suction performance of 2-bladed helical inducer with an inlet asymmetric plate is experimentally investigated.It is observed that the suction performance in large flow rate conditions is not significantly influenced by the asymmetric plate,whereas the head of inducer with the asymmetric plate increases just before the head breakdown in partial flow conditions.To understand the mechanism of this additional head,the flow measurements and the numerical simulations are carried out.It is found that the circumferential component of absolute velocity at the exit of inducer slightly increases with the development of cavitation in both cases with and without the inlet asymmetric plate,indicating the increase of the theoretical head.The theoretical head increase with the inlet asymmetric plate is also confirmed by the unsteady numerical simulations,suggesting that the additional head is achieved through the increase of the theoretical head with the change of the exiting flow from the inducer associated with some amount of cavitation. 展开更多

The flow is taken to be unsteady and incompressible. The observations are made under the limitations of low Reynolds number and long wavelength which helps in reducing the governing equations. The walls of the channel are supposed to be compliant. The obtained equations are nonlinear partial differential equation of second order and have been solved analytically by using series solution technique. The achieved results are then portrayed graphically to see the variation of various emerging parame- ters on the profile of velocity. The stream functions have also been sketched in order to discuss the trapping behavior of the circular bolus. 展开更多

First the authors prove a diffeomorphic result of such an n-m2nifold with nonnegative sectional curvature, which improves Marenich-Toponogov's theorem. As an application, a rigidity theorem is obtained for nonnegatively curved open manifold which contains a clesed geodesic. Next the authors prove a theorem about the nonexistence of closed geodesics for Riemannian manifolds with sectional curvature bounded from below by a negative constant. 展开更多

We mainly study the case where V(x) = V0(x) + V1(x),V0∈ C(RN), V0(x) is 1-periodic in each of x1, x2,..., x N and sup[σ(-△ + V0) ∩(-∞, 0)] < 0 < inf[σ(-△ +V0)∩(0, ∞)], V1∈ C(RN) and lim|x|→∞V1(x) = 0. Inspired by previous work of Li et al.(2006), Pankov(2005)and Szulkin and Weth(2009), we develop a more direct approach to generalize the main result of Szulkin and Weth(2009) by removing the "strictly increasing" condition in the Nehari type assumption on f(x, t)/|t|. Unlike the Nahari manifold method, the main idea of our approach lies on finding a minimizing Cerami sequence for the energy functional outside the Nehari-Pankov manifold N0 by using the diagonal method. 展开更多

We study three-dimensional localization and dispersive shocks in a bent cigar shaped potential by the nonlinear Schro¨ dinger equation. At high bending and high nonlinearity, topological trapping is frustrated by the generation of curved wave-breaking. Four-dimensional parallel simulations confirm the theoretical model. This work may contribute to novel devices based on geometrically constrained highly nonlinear dynamics and tests and analogs of fundamental physical theories in curved space. 展开更多
