METHODS Cyclin D1 expression in peripheral lung cancers and its relationship with the CT imaging and prognosis were analyzed retrospectively by means of SP immunohistochemistry and spiral CT scanning in 92 patients with peripheral lung cancer verified by pathology. RESULTS Cyclin D1 expression was related to deep lobulation,spiculate protuberance,short thin spinules sign and mediastina lymph node metastasis.Cyclin D1 expression was not related to tumor size,cavity,pleural indentation,histological type,differentiation,tumor TNM stage,age or sex.Cyclin D1 was a negative prognostic factor whose over-expression indicated a poor prognosis. CONCLUSION Cyclin D1 expression may play an important role in the occurrence,progress and CT scan results of lung cancers.Cyclin D1 was a negative factor whose over-expression implied a poor prognosis.Detection of the cyclin D1 and observation of the CT scan can be considered as indexes of clinical diagnosis and prognostic evaluation.展开更多
Objective： To observe the effect of traditional Chinese medicine （TCM） Qingfei powder on the radiotherapy-related pneumonia in patient with non-small-cell lung cancer （NSCLC） and explore its underlying me...Objective： To observe the effect of traditional Chinese medicine （TCM） Qingfei powder on the radiotherapy-related pneumonia in patient with non-small-cell lung cancer （NSCLC） and explore its underlying mechanism. Methods： 120 NSCLC patients with the diagnosis of both radiotherapy-related pneumonia and deficiency of Qi and Yin were randomly divided into the treatment group and the model group. The patients in treatment group were given Qingfei power plus regular treatment and those in the model group were given the regular treatment. The period of observation is 30 days. Results： The combination of effective and markedly effective ratio in patients treated with Qingfei power was much higher than that in patients with regular treatment （70% vs 51.7%, P=0.04）. Conclusion： Qingfei power could nourish Qi and Yin as well as clear away lung-heat and dispel phlegm, leading to the relief of clinical symptom in NSCLC patients with radiotherapy-related pneumonia. It demonstrates that the deficiency of both Qi and Yin maybe the main Zheng pattern of patients with radiotherapy-related pneumonia.展开更多
OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of decoction for reinforcing lung Qi on T-lymphocytic function, interleukin-2 (IL-2) and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) in peripheral blood of patients with non-small cell lung canc...OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of decoction for reinforcing lung Qi on T-lymphocytic function, interleukin-2 (IL-2) and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) in peripheral blood of patients with non-small cell lung cancer after operation with argon helium lancet in order to explore its mechanism.METHODS: A total of 76 patients suffering from non-small cell lung cancer without surgical indication were randomly divided into a treatment group treated with decoction for reinforcing lung Qi and argon helium lancet and a control group treated with argon helium lancet only to observe lymphocytic proliferation, detect the percentage of positive cells in the T-lymphocyte CD28 with flow cytometry and detect the expression of IL-2 and TNF-α in peripheral blood with enzyme linked immunosorbent assay.RESULTS: Proliferation of T-lymphocytes and expression of CD28, IL-2 and TNF-α in peripheral blood after treatment in the treatment group were more obviously strengthened than those before treatment and those in the control group (all P<0.05).CONCLUSION: The mechanism of using decoction for reinforcing lung Qi and argon helium lancet to treat lung cancer may be realized through promoting T-lymphocytic proliferation, up-regulating expression of CD28, IL-2 and TNF-α, and activating T-cells.展开更多
