Modern reflectivity inversion methods(e.g., sparsity-constrained deconvolution) generally attempt to suppress the problems associated with the first two assumptions but often ignore that seismic traces are nonstationary signals, which undermines the basic assumption of unchanging wavelet in reflectivity inversion. Through tests on reflectivity series, we confirm the effects of nonstationarity on reflectivity estimation and the loss of significant information, especially in deep layers. To overcome the problems caused by nonstationarity, we propose a nonstationary convolutional model, and then use the attenuation curve in log spectra to detect and correct the influences of nonstationarity. We use Gabor deconvolution to handle nonstationarity and sparsity-constrained deconvolution to separating reflectivity and wavelet. The combination of the two deconvolution methods effectively handles nonstationarity and greatly reduces the problems associated with the unreasonable assumptions regarding reflectivity and wavelet. Using marine seismic data, we show that correcting nonstationarity helps recover subtle reflectivity information and enhances the characterization of details with respect to the geological record.展开更多

A concerned analytical landing gear model for simulating actual aircraft taxiing is formulated. The equivalent linearization results obtained by probabilistic method are inducted to treat landing gear non linear parameters such as shock absorber air spring force, hydraulic damping and Coulomb friction, tire stiffness and damping. The power spectral density for non stationary analysis is obtained via variable substitution and then Fourier transform. A representative response quantity, the overload of the aircraft gravity center, is analyzed. The frequency response function of the gravity overload is derived. The case study demonstrates that under the same reached velocity the root mean square of the gravity acceleration response from constant acceleration taxiing is smaller than that from constant velocity taxiing and the root mean square of the gravity acceleration response from lower acceleration taxiing is greater than that from higher acceleration.展开更多

A new synthesis stationary signal based on structural response wavelet transform and wavelet coefficient processes co-integration is obtained. The new signal instead of structural response is used in identifying the modal parameters of a non- stationary system, combined with the method of modal identification under stationary random excitation-the NExT method and the adjusted continuous least square method. The numerical results show that the method can eliminate the non-stationarity of structural response subject to non-stationary random excitation to a great extent, and is highly precise and robust.展开更多

The finite difference method was used to solve numerically the coupled time-dependent Navier-Stokes and convective-diffusion equations in a body-fitted orthogonal coordinate system. Numerical simulation was conducted on the experimental cases, in which MIBK drops with the size ranging from 1.24 mm to 1.97 mm rose and accelerated freely in pure water and in dilute sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS) aqueous solution. The applicability of the numerical scheme was validated by the agreement between the simulation results and the experimental data. Both the numerical and experimental results showed that the velocitytime profile exhibited a maximum rising velocity for drops in SDS solutions, which was close to the terminal velocity in pure water, before it dropped down to a steady-state value. The effect of the sorption kinetics of surfactant on the accelerating motion was also evaluated. It is also suggested that introduction of virtual mass force into the formulation improved obviously the precision of numerical simulation of transient drop motion.展开更多

The results show that when the boundary temperature of surrounding rock has a linear decrease because of a directional movement of heat source in the UCG flame working face, the temperature in surrounding rock increases first and then decreases with time, the peak of temperature curve decreases gradually and its position moves inside surrounding rock from the boundary. In the surrounding rock of UCG stope, there is an envelope curve of temperature curve clusters. We analyzed the influence of thermophysical parameters on envelope curves and put forward to take envelope curve as the calculation basis for ranges of burnt surrounding rock, coal-wall coking cycle and heat influence. Finally, the concrete numerical values are given by determining those judgement standards and temperature thresholds, which basically tally with the field geophysical prospecting results.展开更多

In order to get a clear insight into the nature of this cleaning process and provide a solid basis for industrial applications, the flow in ceramic candle filter was investigated. The flow in the pulse-jetspace and inside the ceramic candle is regarded as two- dimensional, unsteady, compressible flow, and numerical simulation is carried out by computational fluid dynamics. The numerical predictions of flow field are in good agreement with the experimental measurements. Effects of the candle diameter, the separation distance between the nozzle and the candle injector and the length of the candle on the flowfield have been numerically analyzed to provide the basis for the optimum design of the pulse cleaning system.展开更多

Test results show that rock temperature decreases quickly at the initial stage, and reduces slowly to be a constant value finally for transient heat-moisture transfer. The quasi-steady surface temperature of wet airway is lower than that of dry airway due to the moisture transfer. The diffusion radius is less than the cooling radius owing to the large diffusion resistance. The outlet airflow enthalpy of wet airway is much larger than that of dry airway. Latent heat caused by the moisture transfer plays a significant role in a deep thermal environment. For periodic heat-moisture transfer, temperature, humidity and enthalpy of outlet airflow and rock temperature also change periodically. The wave amplitude of rock temperature decreases gradually with increasing distance away from the airway surface, and the wave phase of rock temperature is also behind that of airflow. Moreover, direction of the heat-moisture transfer between airway and airflow is bidirectional, which is different from results of transient transfer.展开更多

Meanwhile, the temperature increases as the exponential function from shallow area to deep, with steady decrease of the temperature gradient and heat flux. Due to variation in angular displacement in the variable area type capacitor which is connected in the timer based astable circuit, capacitance changes which in turn changes the time period of the timer circuit output. The time period of the timer output waveform is linear with the capacitance and hence linear with angular displacement. The timer output is further processed with UFDC for the measurement. The experimental results show that the time period is linear with the angular displacement in the range of 0- 180° and the uncertainty we should associate it with this average time period value is the standard deviation of the mean, often called the standard error (SE),which is ± 0.023 μs. Because of the simplicity, this measurement system can be used in both electronic and industrial instrumentation.展开更多

Existence of a weak solution is first established through a result of Meyers' theorem and Schauder fixed point theorem, where the coupled functions σ(s),k(s) are assumed to be bounded in the C(IR×(0, T)). If σ(s),k(s) are Lipschitz continuous we prove that solution is unique under some restriction on integrability of solution. The regularity of the solution in dimension n ≤ 2 is then analyzed under the assumptions on σ(s) ∈w^1,∞(Ω×(0, T)) and the boundedness of σ'(s) and σ″(s).展开更多

However, this method is quite laborious and needs special equipment. Colorimetric method is a quick and simple method to measure the penetration depth of chloride by spraying 0.1 mol/L silver nitrate solution. The objective of this work is to study the possibility of the use of colorimetric method in the calculation of non-steady-state diffusion coefficient. Twelve concrete mixtures with different supplementary cementitious materials and water-to-cement ratios of 0.35, 0.48 and 0.6 were used for study. According to NT build 443, the concrete specimens were immersed in 165 g/L NaC1 (2.8 mol/L) solution for 42 d. Both water-soluble (convert to free chloride) chloride and acid-soluble chloride at different layers of specimens were measured. The results show that the mean value of free chloride concentration at the color change boundary Cd was 0.306 mol/L. The surface free chloride concentration cs was obtained by profile fitting method, which was 40% lower than the chloride concentration of exposure solution after an immersion period of 42 d. Chloride diffusion coefficients obtained by the colorimetric method was not well correlated with those obtained by profile fitting method.展开更多

The constitutive non-linear differential equations are deduced, the methods for their solution are elaborated. The example of torsion wave propagation in an elongated drill string is considered. Computer simulation of auto-oscillation generation in the examined system is performed for the cases of stationary and non-stationary variations of the perturbation parameter. The diapason of the drilling rotation velocity values corresponding to regimes of stable self-excited periodic motions of the system is found. This domain is shown to be limited by the states of the Poincare-Hopf bifurcations. Owing to the feature that the stated problem is singularly perturbed, the autovibrations are of relaxation type with fast and slow motions. Influence of the length of the uniform and articulated drill strings on the bifurcation values of their angular velocities of generation and accomplishment of the auto-oscillation processes in the drill strings is discussed.展开更多

The inhomogeneity of the disk size distribution can be measured by a fractal dimension df. By Monte Carlo simulations, we have mainly investigated the effect of the inhomogeneity on the statistical properties of the system in the same inelasticity case. Some novel results are found that the average energy of the system decays exponentially with a tendency to achieve a stable asymptotic value, and the system finally reaches a nonequilibrium steady state after a long evolution time. Furthermore, the inhomogeneity has great influence on the steady-state statistical properties. With the increase of the fractal dimension df, the distributions of path lengths and free times between collisions deviate more obviously from expected theoretical forms for elastic spheres and have an overpopulation of short distances and time bins. The collision rate increases with df, but it is independent of time. Meanwhile, the velocity distribution deviates more strongly from the Gaussian one, but does not demonstrate any apparent universal behavior.展开更多

Under the adequate sunshine condition, the fresh air is directly delivered into the indoor environment after being heated by the solar collector. When the sun radiation is reduced, the heated air temperature can not satisfy the need of supply of air temperature. The main heat source is changed to phase change heat storage equipment instead of solar energy. The system adopt heat pipe for a high-efficiency and isothermal heat transfer which recover the shortcomings of PCMs such as: low coefficient of thermal conductivity and poor thermal efficiency. This article establishes the physical model of phase change solar energy fresh air thermal storage system and creates the mathematical model of its unsteady heat transfer to simulate and analyse the operation process by using Fluent software. The results of the study show that, compared to normal fresh air system, the phase change solar energy fresh air thermal storage system has a significant improvement in energy saving and indoor comfort level and will play an important role in the energy sustainable development.展开更多

Chloride diffusion coefficients obtained by the colorimetric method was not well correlated with those obtained by profile fitting method.

文摘The asymmetric effects on the escape rates from the stable states x±in the bistable system are analyzed. The results indicate that the multiplicative noise and the additive noise always enhance the particle escape from stable states x±of bistable. However, the asymmetric parameter r enhances the particle escape from stable state x_+,and holds back the particle escape from stable state x_-.
文摘With the use of a wave model, the non-linear problem about realization of the Poincare-Hopf bifurcations in waveguiding systems is stated. Influence of the length of the uniform and articulated drill strings on the bifurcation values of their angular velocities of generation and accomplishment of the auto-oscillation processes in the drill strings is discussed.

文摘We present a dynamical model of two-dimensional polydisperse granular gases with fractal size distribution, in which the disks are subject to inelastic mutual collisions and driven by standard white noise. Meanwhile, the velocity distribution deviates more strongly from the Gaussian one, but does not demonstrate any apparent universal behavior.
文摘In this article, a new kind of solar fresh air system is designed in order to realize the improvement of thermal efficiency by the integrated application of the PCMs and heat pipe technology. The results of the study show that, compared to normal fresh air system, the phase change solar energy fresh air thermal storage system has a significant improvement in energy saving and indoor comfort level and will play an important role in the energy sustainable development.
