发展一种针对等离子体多尺度问题的"最初的无方程投影积分(p-EFPI)"方法并成功应用于离子声波的模拟.该方法包括时间推进和时间投影两部分.电子速度通过概率分布函数或累积分布函数投影外推,电子位置坐标则通过投影外推的电... 发展一种针对等离子体多尺度问题的"最初的无方程投影积分(p-EFPI)"方法并成功应用于离子声波的模拟.该方法包括时间推进和时间投影两部分.电子速度通过概率分布函数或累积分布函数投影外推,电子位置坐标则通过投影外推的电子电荷密度重新调出;与电子相比,假设粗糙的离子运动可以很好地描述宏观尺度等离子体的演化行为,通过追踪和投影外推每个离子轨道保持全部离子运动学效应.尝试和检验p-EFPI方法在模拟等离子体物理现象中的应用.以离子声波为范例,数值计算表明:在离子相空间出现离子捕获效应前,p-EFPI模拟能够很好地再现PIC的结果,在离子捕获发生后,p-EFPI模拟仍然可以抓住除了离子捕获特征之外的其它主要物理特征. 展开更多

超短脉冲压缩技术在强场物理研究中有非常重要的作用。但由于强场电离现象在惰性气体自相位调制脉冲压缩技术中限制了脉冲的能量 ,Tempea等人提出可以采用等离子体非线性系数对脉冲进行压缩。本文在考虑毛细管内表面电离的情况下 ,讨论... 超短脉冲压缩技术在强场物理研究中有非常重要的作用。但由于强场电离现象在惰性气体自相位调制脉冲压缩技术中限制了脉冲的能量 ,Tempea等人提出可以采用等离子体非线性系数对脉冲进行压缩。本文在考虑毛细管内表面电离的情况下 ,讨论能量为 10mJ左右、脉宽为 5 0fs的脉冲的压缩问题 ,发现可以将脉冲压缩至5fs左右。计算表明频谱展宽可以在气体密度很低的情况下进行 ,这样将可以减小电子对脉冲传播的影响。同时 ,由于毛细管内表面也处于电离状态 ,从而使脉冲能量不会受到电离阈值的限制。 展开更多

An electrostatic model for the shock observed in the earth's polar region is established by deriving the 'Sagdeev potential' from the magnetohydrodynamic equations in a cylindrical coordinate system. The results show that the shock can develop from the ion acoustic wave or ion cyclotron wave in the polar region, and can exist when the Mach number M and the initial electric field E-0 satisfy the condition of vertical bar(a/M-2-1)E(0)vertical bar = 1. Also, some features of the shock wave are discussed. The result can interpret the electrostatic shock observed in the earth's polar region. 展开更多

A Korteweg-de Vires-type (KdV-type) equation and a modified Nonlinear Schrodinger equation (NLSE) for the dust lattice wave (DLW) are derived in a weakly inhomogeneous dust plasma crystal. It seems that the amplitude and the velocity of the dust lattice solitary waves decay exponentiaJly with increasing time in a dust lattice. The modulational instability of this dust lattice envelope waves is investigated as well. It is found that the waves are modulational stable under certain conditions. On the other hand, the waves are modulationaJ unstable if the conditions are not satisfied. 展开更多

Using of the Maxwell equations and nonlinear differential equation for the electric field a direct one dimensional (ID) procedure for calculating wake equations are developed and the electric and magnetic field profile in the plasma are investigated. 展开更多

In the present work,nonlinear interaction of elliptical laser beam with collisional plasma is studied by using paraxial ray approximation.Nonlinear differential equations for the beam width parameters of semi-major axis and semi-minor axis of elliptical laser beam have been set up and solved numerically to study the variation of beam width parameters with normalized distance of propagation.Effects of variation in absorption coefficient and plasma density on the beam width parameters are also analyzed.It is observed from the analysis that extent of self-focusing of beam increases with increase/decrease in plasma density/absorption coefficient. 展开更多

The Brio system is a 2 × 2 fully nonlinear system of conservation laws which arises as a simplified model in the study of plasmas. The present paper offers explicit solutions to this system subjected to initial conditions containing Dirac masses. The concept of a solution emerges within the framework of a distributional product and represents a consistent extension of the concept of a classical solution. This paper is concerned with the finite time blow-up phenomena for the vector nonlinear Schrdinger equations with a magnetic field which describe the spontaneous generation of a magnetic field in a cold plasma in the subsonic limit. After obtaining some a priori estimates,we prove under certain natural conditions that the solutions to the Cauchy problem of the vector nonlinear Schrdinger equations in two and three spatial dimensions blow up in a finite time. Assuming that a solution to the aforementioned vector nonlinear Schrdinger equations is radially symmetric with respect to spatial variables x,we show that if the initial energy is non-positive,then the solution blows up in three dimensions in a finite time. 展开更多

The properties of dust ion acoustic waves are investigated in an unmagnetized multicomponent plasma system consisting of ion beam, charged positive and negative ions, electrons obeying nonthermal-Tsallis distribution and stationary negatively charged dust grains by the conventional Sagdeev pseudopotential method, through which the condition for existence of several nonlinear structures is analyzed theoretically. The dispersion relation for electrostatic waves is derived and analyzed and an expression of the energy integral equation is obtaJned. It is reported here that our plasma model supports solitions, double layers and supersoliton solutions for certain range of parameters. Finally, the effects of different physical plasma parameters on these nonlinear structures are studied numerically. The present theory should be helpful in understanding the salient features of the electrostatic waves in space and in laboratory plasmas where two distinct groups of ions and non-Maxwellian distributed electrons are present. 展开更多

The nonlinear characteristics of the dust acoustic(DA)waves are studied in a homogeneous,collisionless,unmagnetized,and dissipative dusty plasma composed of negatively charged dusty grains,superthermal electrons,and nonextensive ions.Sagdeev pseudopotential technique has been employed to study the large amplitude DA waves.It(Sagdeev pseudopotential)has an evidence for the existence of compressive and rarefractive solitons.The global features of the phase portrait are investigated to understand the possible types of solutions of the Sagdeev form.On the other hand,the reductive perturbation technique has been used to study small amplitude DA waves and yields the Korteweg-de Vries-Burgers(Kd V-Burgers)equation that exhibits both soliton and shock waves.The behavior of the obtained results of both large and small amplitude is investigated graphically in terms of the plasma parameters like dust kinematic viscosity,superthermal and nonextensive parameters. 展开更多
