The samples were characterized by TEM, SEM, BET, IR, XRD and so on. The results indicate that the BET surface area of TiO2/SiO2 aerogels calcined at 550℃ which consisted of anatase structure of TiO2 with narrow distribution pores of 5-25 nm is as high as 357.89 m2·g-1. For the photocatalytic degradation of pyridine, the catalytic activities of TiO2/SiO2 aerogels are much higher than that of TiO2 powder. The photocatalytic activity of TiO2/SiO2 aerogels calcined at 800℃ is the optimum. The higher the content of SiO2, the higher the photocatalytic activity of TiO2/SiO2 aerogels. The cost for preparation of the aerogels is greatly reduced by using non-supercritical drying method, and the aerogels are hopefully applied in the treatment of industrial waste water such as coking effluent treatment.展开更多

Tbe effects of parameters such as tbe concentration of TiO2 solution, pH value, and drying temperature on the photocatalytic degradation of the formaldehyde gas were also studied. The results showed that the photodegradation efficiency of the formaldehyde gas increased rapidly with the increasing of the concentration of TiO2 solution up to 15g/L, but when the concentration was in excess of 15g/L, the photodegradation efficiency decreased gradually and fluctuated due to light obstruction and disperse state of TiO2. Adjusting the pH value in the solution, the efficiency of photocatalytic degradation of the formaldehyde gas could be improved. The mechanisms of the reaction and the role of the additives were also investigated. After 42hours, TiO2/ polyester non-woven fabric showed no significant loss of the photocatalytic activity.展开更多

Due to the dimensionality difference effect, the DWCNT film/TiO2 nanotube array photodetector exhibits a much higher photocurrent-to-dark current ratio and photoresponse relative to an Au film/TiO2 nanotube array device, even at small bias voltage. The photocurrent-to-dark current ratio reached four orders of magnitude and a high photoresponse of 2467 A/W was found upon irradiation at 340 nm. Furthermore, the photosensitive regions could be extended into the visible range. The photocurrent-to-dark current ratio reached approximately three orders of magnitude upon irradiation at 532 nm, where the photon energy is much lower than the band gap of TiO2.展开更多

However, the controlled synthesis of TiO 2 mesocrystals has not been realized until recently, probably because of the difficulty in accurately controlling the reaction processes that produce TiO 2 crystals. In this review, recent advances in the synthesis and applications of TiO 2 mesocrystals are summarized with particular attention paid to the mechanisms of their formation. Three typical pathways for the preparation of TiO 2 mesocrystals are discussed, namely topotactic transformation, direct synthesis in solution, and growth on supports. The potential applications of TiO 2 mesocrystals in lithium ion batteries, photocatalysis, enzyme immobilization, and antireflection materials are also described.展开更多
