The fiber length, strength, Micronalre (fiber fineness and fiber maturity), uniformity of fiber length, and short fiber content are the pivotal indexes expressing ICFQI. All of the results above are the basic knowledge to build up the models of ICFQI. According to spinning consistency index (SCI), spinning strength and spinning yarn integrated quality, ICFQI was the best choice. As the methods of ICFQI had quite a lot of advantages like explicit mechanism, few independent variables. The integrated fiber quality index had a significant positive correlation with yarn strength and spinning consistency, significant negative correlation with yarn evenness and yarn thin places. In additional, the model of the relationship between ICFQI and SCI was established as: SCI=0. 235 6·ICFQI +56.153. It was concluded that ICFQI value was the shared reference index for the testing of fiber inspection agency and the selection and distribution of raw cotton bales by textile mills.展开更多

Different color value will be obtained by watching the same surface point of an object from different viewpoints due to specular reflection, and the difference is related to the pos ition of viewpoint. The relationship between the position of viewpoint and the c olor of image is non linear, neural network is introduced to make curve fitting , where the inputs of neural network are only a few calibrated images with obvio us specular reflection. By training the neural network, network model is obtaine d. By inputing an arbitrary virtual viewpoint to the model, the image of the vir tual viewpoint can be computed. By using the method presented here, novel viewpo int image with photo realistic property can be obtained, especially images with obvious specular reflection can accurately be generated. The method is an image based rendering method, geometric model of the scene and position of lighting are not needed.展开更多

This methodology is particularly important for mountain soils, where the lithological heterogeneity of the soil profiles created by denudation and accumulation processes is often observed. The methodology includes several stages: (a) the study of the lithological homogeneity/ heterogeneity of soil profiles by field and laboratory methods, (b) the stage-by-stage macro-, meso-, micro-, and submicromorphological analyses of soil profiles with additional use of the methods of neighboring sciences, and (e) the subdivision of soil features into the groups of recent and inherited (relict) features. In the latter group, the subgroups of lithorelict features inherited from the parent material and pedorelict features inherited from the previous stages of soil formation can be distinguished. Two major models of soil polygenesis are suggested. Simple models describe the soils, in which new features appear due to the changes in the environmental conditions in the course of soil evolution. Complex models describe the soils, in which such changes are combined with deposition of new portions of sediments onto the soil surface with the development of buried soil horizons (the synlithogenie pedogenesis). The models of continuous and discontinuous synlithogenic pedogenesis can be further distinguished. It is argued that the micromorphological method applied to the studies on soil mierofabrics, microforms of soil humus, soil porosity, coatings, and various pedo- and lithorelict features yields valuable information on polygenetic soils.展开更多
