The transmitter incorporates a class-E power amplifier (PA), a modulator, and a control logic unit. The direct-conversion architecture minimizes the required on-and-off-chip components and provides a low-cost and efficient solution. A novel structure is proposed to provide the modulation depth of 100% and 18% ,respectively. The PA presents an output ldB power of 17.6dBm while maintaining a maximum PAE of 35.4%.展开更多
In this paper, the International Comprehensive Ocean and Atmosphere Data Set(ICOADS) is utilized to investigate the horizontal distribution of sea fog occurrence frequency over the Northern Atlantic as well as the met...In this paper, the International Comprehensive Ocean and Atmosphere Data Set(ICOADS) is utilized to investigate the horizontal distribution of sea fog occurrence frequency over the Northern Atlantic as well as the meteorological and oceanic conditions for sea fog formation. Sea fog over the Northern Atlantic mainly occurs over middle and high latitudes. Sea fog occurrence frequency over the western region of the Northern Atlantic is higher than that over the eastern region. The season for sea fog occurrence over the Northern Atlantic is generally from April to August. When sea fogs occur, the prevailing wind direction in the study area is from southerly to southwesterly and the favorable wind speed is around 8 m s-1. It is most favorable for the formation of sea fogs when sea surface temperature(SST) is 5℃ to 15℃. When SST is higher than 25℃, it is difficult for the air to get saturated, and there is almost no report of sea fog. When sea fogs form, the difference between sea surface temperature and air temperature is mainly-1 to 3℃, and the difference of 0℃ to 2℃ is the most favorable conditions for fog formation. There are two types of sea fogs prevailing in this region: advection cooling fog and advection evaporating fog.展开更多

Additionally, the measurement of the influence of DC clearing electrodes on the betatron tune shift is also described. Some measurement results are given. Symptoms and signs were atypically high heart rate with high respiratory rate,striking cyanosis,and significantly low oxygen saturation,whereas no moist rates were heard on auscultation,and Chest X-ray showed peripheral with a patchy distribution of mottled infiltrations in one or both lung fields. We believe that subclinical high altitude pulmonary edema is an earliest stage of pulmonary edema at high altitude. The possible pathogenesis and the diagnosis were discussed.展开更多

Suppressing the nature of elements the network by interconnections rather than the elements themselves. These constraints follow generalized Kirchhoff's laws derived from physical constraints. Once we have a graph; then the working environment becomes the graph-theory. An algorithm derived from graph theory is developed within the paper in order to analyze general networks. The algorithm is based on computing all the spanning trees in the graph G with an associated weight. This weight is the product ofadmittance's of the edges forming the spanning tree. In the first phase this algorithm computes a depth first spanning tree together with its cotree. Both are used as parents for controlled generation of off-springs. The control is represented in selecting the off-springs that were not generated previously. While the generation of off-springs, is based on replacement of one or more tree edges by cycle edges corresponding to cotree edges. The algorithm can generate a frequency domain analysis of the network.展开更多

A dummy ballast load is connected across each phase of generator ...Most of the MHP (micro hydro power) plants use ELC (electronic load controller) for speed control. Various types of ELC have been developed so far. A dummy ballast load is connected across each phase of generator terminals and ELC controls the power consumed by the ballast load to result in constant speed operation. The ELC developed so far uses thyristor switches in each phase to control ballast load power. The ELC senses the system frequency and comparing it with reference frequency, it generates a common value of firing angle for all three thyristor pairs of each phase. The performance of such ELC is not perfect for unbalanced consumers load connected in each phase, which overloads the generator. This paper presents an advanced type of ELC which senses frequency as well as consumer's load current of each phase and fires the thyristor pairs with different value of firing angles for different phases. This solves the problem of overloading of the generator with unbalanced consumer's load. Simutink model is developed to perform transient analysis of the proposed scheme and the prototype of hardware is also fabricated. The simulation results and experimental results are presented.展开更多

Arrays of standard commercial fluoresoent lamp placed directly against each other in two rows are used to produce a plasma layer. Attenuations of microwave by plasma layer are studied experimentally in the frequencies of 1--8 C44z using a synthesized signal generator and a spectnnn analyzer. Two wavepolarizations are trader investigation: dectric field of the wave is either parallel ( E -wave) or perpendicular (H-wave) to the fluorescent lamp axis. The electron number density and the electron-neutral collision frequency of fluorescent lamp plasma are obtained by microwave diagnostics, for the purpose of analyzing microwave scattering characteristics by plasma.展开更多
