It is the most common type of esophageal carcinoma in our country. The diagnosis and treatment of esophageal squamous-cell carcinoma is challenging. The diagnosis of esophageal squamous-cell carcinoma can be made by serum markers and imaging examinations such as X-ray, CT, PET-CT, EUS and MRI. Treatment methods include endoscopic therapy, surgical therapy, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, immunotherapy and targeted therapy. Single therapy has some disadvantages, and combined therapy will be the development direction of ESCC treatment in the future. This article reviews the latest advances in the diagnosis and treatment of esophageal squamous-cell carcinoma.展开更多
